I had a very nasty and horrible neighbour she was so horrible and very rude. She recently sold her house so for the past year I've had a nice family living next door to me. Neighbours make such a huge difference. ❤❤

I cannot explain how happy I am that you liked the stickers and prints!! 🥹 (the forest friends are the bunny, cat, sage stem, non-spooky mushrooms, snail shell and banana slug hehe)
one of the best feelings ever as an artist is knowing other people like my art, and on top of that DISPLAY my art in your home?? I cannot explain how over the moon I feel. Thank you for supporting my art dreams Fern 🥹
Also I’m so excited to see your seeds grow! I planted some Alaska variegated nasturtium seeds a few weeks ago and they’ve all grown to be so big already! I’m not brave enough yet to grow veggies/herbs by seed, I bought some baby tomato plants and I wanna get strawberries, but we have a sneaky squirrel outside that ate every single one of my strawberries last spring 😭😭 big L lol. 😅
I hope that the next people who move in next door are better! Bad neighbors can really make such a difference in living environment. Bad neighbors can almost be as bad as bad roommates 😩
Also ~random~ but if you and your partner are wanting to watch a thriller horror, y’all should see Late Night with the Devil. Seems like it might be up your alley hehe.

Your seedlings look great! The humidity domes should come off once 60% or more seeds have germinated and give them overhead light minimum 12-14 hours per day. You shouldn’t have to pot up anything for a couple weeks😊 So excited for everything to grow!

Of course a bit controversial butttt I always advocate for thc. Especially concentrates because when consumed correctly it is the “healthiest” form of smoking thc. It is also the fastest acting. That being said to sleep, an indica dab wold hopefully put you to sleep. I truly view it as a medicine. Although it’s not for everyone, there are a community of people that treat it as so. All love fern

I understand your anxiety for new neighbors. My neighbors both died last year, we lived 30 years next to them and they were so nice. But now the house is for sale and I am also anxious for what kind of people will come to live there. So fingers crossed for both of us 🤞🏼
Thank you for all your lovely videos on both of your channels. 😘

Yes!!! At least those noisy neighbors are leaving. It might be a while before you get new ones. The owner might have to do some renos before listing it and it probably won't sell like that. You might be in for a nice quiet summer 😊. I love that redheaded duck at the beginning, so pretty.

    Insomnia sufferer here!
I take melatonin gummies if I'm really desperate and they knock me out but I have melatonin hangover the next day so not ideal. I've tried valerian root supplements before and I preferred it over melatonin but they're really stinky and I couldn't deal with it anymore. Tart cherry juice has been amazing for me and a new staple in my nighttime routine. It doesn't taste bad at all but so good mixed with something (I like a splash of grape Poppi). Lastly, my kind of insomnia is more trouble staying asleep than falling asleep and the Headspace app has been my savior for years now but any meditation app with a good selection of sleep tracks will do.

Wow!!!! Beacon Park looks so beautiful. What a gorgeous sunny day to walk around and enjoy nature!!!! As for the sleep issue, maybe a solution is to not fight it. Get up and do things around the house until you feel tired. A deer fence sounds a great idea. Plant native bushes around to create a private space and encourage birds into your yard.

You're going to love the sweet millions tomato! So delicious and prolific.
For marigolds, they really dont like to be covered. Sow them thickly, use a heat mat and barely cover the seeds with dirt. They are the best companion plant. I also love nasturtium. Good luck with your veggie garden! Its such a joy 💜

Hi Fern, I’ve been enjoying your videos because I’m fairly new to keeping houseplants.
I had a couple of recommendations for you dealing with sleep issues and also gardening.
I bought a headband that has earphones built in. I turn on an audio book and put it on timer. It usually dies a good job of lulling me to sleep.
For gardening advice I would recommend watching Charles Dowding videos on UA-cam. He’s based on the UK but is very knowledgeable and covers lots of the basics.
Good luck with your sleep issues and also your garden! Can’t wait to see more videos.

to help with sleep- Ashwagandha root supplements. or Saint Johns wort. You can get them form like holland and Barratts in the UK don't know the equivalent where you are. Also try zinc and iron ? magnesium's great but if you can get iron and zinc supplements too they will help loads !!! hope this helps :)

If you like T. Kingfisher and are tired of romance in fantasy, I recommend T. Kingfisher's novella Thornhedge. It's an alternate telling of Sleeping Beauty that's very sad and beautifully written. One of the main relationships can be read as romantic, but it's really not typical at all, and I read it as a really strong platonic bond.

I feel awful for saying this but in my experience, I’ve only had bad neighbors when the house next to me is renting. They’ve had several people move in through the years and they were all awful in their own way. The houses on my street that are owned have always been pleasant neighbors. I know this is just luck of the draw but I have high hopes that whoever buys next to you will be much more peaceful.

Hi Fern, suggestions for falling asleep - magnesium cream. Right before you go to bed.you can put it on your legs or your stomach and it takes about 30 minutes to feel the effects. Also, I read this book called "Breath" by James Nestor, which I thought was incredible. He talks about "mouth taping" and some people tape their entire mouth shut but that makes me too nervous so I use a tiny piece of medical tape vertically in the middle of my mouth so the sides are still open. It has been life changing for my sleep. I realize it might not be for everyone but maybe worth a try. I enjoy your channel so much!! 💜🍄

With the seedlings, you can just pinch the ones you don’t want off and eat them or separate them into their own little containers (if you want that many plants?) cherry tomatoes take a little longer so don’t worry 😊
Finished The Women today! Loved it! I wanna read Legends and Lattes too but I’m waiting to hear what you think first lol I gotta pick a new book to start tonight!
Thanks as always for the video!! 💜 Tamara

I just started my seeds for monarch butterflies. Buying milkweed plants for the grandkids monarch. Last year I spent over $100 for milkweed plants 😭. It
became my new hobby last summer raising monarch. Once they become butterflies I take it to their house and release them.

Definitely Autumn here in Australia, Canberra has freezing mornings and hits 28 degrees in the afternoon, beautiful time of the year, spectacular leaves, good luck with your seeds and planting, my crop this year was dismal 😢

Dear Fern, Marigold is super to plant it between tomatoes (against pest...basil loves tomatoes too), Nosturtium is great in salads for your bladder - the flowers are gorgeous and yummy and you can also use the young leaves for salads. If you want to repot your veggies to bigger pots, wait please for at least the first "true" leaves. Cannot wait for your updates on your garden. Kisses to Olive XX P.S. Don´t forget to ventilate your seedlings from time to time, too vet is also not so good.

Fern....does it bother you that your boyfriend cant fix a leaking kitchen sink, or hook up the water to your fridge? Men used to be able to do such things! Maybe I'm old fashioned, but the men today are so beta.

haha no, it doesn't bother me, but I'd sure love to learn myself! great skills to have for anyone.

I always shower just before bed so that the last 30-60min is screen free! You know basically having my little self care routine when I shower, brush my teeth, do my skincare and then I often read when I arrive at the bed (if I’m not too tired already 😂). But yeah my best tips is to avoid the screens. I can answer a text or something but no more than that! 🫡

Glad to see you are starting seeds. 😊I started my own seeds and am using some of house plant stuff and knowledge to get going. Memo (YT Houseplantygoodness) just posted a helpful video for people like us who know tropical plants but are starting gardening adventures.
