Dear Neville, it would be great if in a near future you post on YT unreleased, never seen/heard before material. I assume you've plenty in your archive. Greetings by a fan of yours from the first hour ;-)
I found it on an old video tape I had from years ago and thought I'd share your great performance on the Tube with the world. I followed your career since I picked up the first release of Target Practice...thanks for the music...
To Belouis Some. As a fan, I am glad you liked this being shown on the internet! Thanks for a song that still is HOT after all these years! (Imagination). But they're all great@
Great memories. I never understood why belouis some never became a major artist. Chester kamen on guitar almost colliding with belouis. Impressive stuff.
Awesome find, one of the deepest bands/lyrics there were back in my university days...the alternate version of this is still one of my favorite night driving songs. It just envelops ya, lyrics and bass. Thanks for posting this .
Thank you for this document, I think that the first album of Belouis Some was excellent selection of songs. It's strange to me to see Nevil sing tuned down before Some People was published, but the performance has a lot of fire.
Yes, it shows what he was capable of live - but he had an expensive band to keep on the road. Lack of record sales meant that he couldn't continue like this.
@@nygelmiller5293 hi Nigel, yes I did it was late December 1985, I went with my mates to see Midge Ure at Wembley Arena, we were 16. Belouis Some was the support act. He was really good, best Male Artist I have ever seen, in them days you could buy the LP after the show in the Merchandise shop after, I got the Album. Seeing Target Practice, Stand Down, Walk Away, Imagination etc live. I will never forget it. I got his next Album later that was just as good. He still does gigs I think.
@@Kevin-1969 that must have been a great gig, Midge Ure, and Belouis Some! A powerful support act, that would have seen as the MAIN act! The ones who are the headline acts are often only that because they have been famous for longer! Love the fact you were able to buy the album & March immediately after the show! I've only ever seen that twice
@@nygelmiller5293 hi, the 80s it was common place, the bands Albums were there after the show. It was a gig that has stayed in my mind., he was really good. He looked really cool as well, he had a white shirt on and cream coloured trousers.
Well, Pinetree Records, no reason it'd translate into sales. At least he tried for 8 years to stick with it before having to give it up, but in 1985, EVERYTHING was made to be about madonna madonna madonna madonna madonna madonna....most pointless and vile plague-bearing suckfest slag and enemy to music and the normal world. taking over the dubious brains of almost the entire world in one fell swoop and making the rest of us suffer. In 1985, everyone was making a big deal about the "return of stadium rock" in music, via U2, Simple Minds, Prince had finally broken through and B Some were not seen as exciting enough. Nonetheless 2 singles went into the Top 40, it should have been more, but that's the 80s all over! For most decent acts.
Great live performance 😊😊🎉awesome and a great upload thank you 😊, god it brings back great memories terrific.
Thank you so much for putting this up. Recording this was such fun!

This is a great performance - love the girls harmonies - bring a nice edge to the song

Perhaps finest performance of this song!
Thanks for this lovely trip down memory lane!! I still have that pink suit!! 😂💕
Hi Nicci - who was the other backup singer? I really like the work you two do on the songs.
The memory of this performance will stay with me for ever.
Were you the sole backing singer wearing the blue dress in the TOTP appearance

Oh my, the funk at 3.50 divine
But the song was released in 1985...
I may be wrong about the date - 85 it probably is...thanks...
Looks a bit like a young Marlon Brandon him
