Love this ride. It's the first ever upside-down ride I've ever been on. I was scared to go on it but after my friends came off, I went on twice. It was amazing
I love Nemesis at Alton Towers because my favourite 1994 roller coaster took the Dark side of the ride is in my lifetime. I love the Magic of Alton Towers is now never ends.

While I went on Nemesis Inferno first! I think going on Nemesis especially at the front is a masterpiece! I love the history of the ride! I dare say this and I know this is incredibly ambitious, but with all the iconic backstory through the videos and the comic book! How come this haven't got a FILM! This and Hex could work as movies from their back stories! I like to say thank you to Alton Towers and John Wardley as the master of British Rollercoasters! I must say could you bring back the videos and the comic book into your stores?

Absolutely epic ride. Best ever. Nothing will come close for me. Love it. On one occasion there was no queue so I went on it 6 times one after the other. Fucking awesome.
It's that great that when the sad day does come for.it to be removed, they will just build it again. It's an absolute monster (no pun intended) of a coaster.

The Nemesis backstory kinda reminds me of Lovecraft's stories, with the cult, ancient idols, and an eldritch or alien abomination at the center of it all. And that makes me want to ride it even more, but I'm stuck here in the US.
nemesis is better due to the terrain being very very close to your feet. the ride is super Intense! I loved it, I'm hoping to try out Thorpe Park next year.
Both are pretty much the same. The carts, designers, creators, manufacturers, tracks etc. are all the same. The only difference is the layout and age. Both have their fair share of loops and inversions so I'd end up having to say Nemesis purely because it's the original inverted coaster and the original Nemesis ride. Effectively Nemesis Inferno was a sequel that was built to prey on the success of the original Nemesis.
hmm if it is a world first then um I don't know really. It cant be anything to do with inversions, in reverse or launches. Were have to see what happens.
@@jackbluepirate87 no, SW1 was the pipeline one which got scrapped and SW2 was a really long coaster that went from one end of the park to the other, also scrapped. Nemesis was SW3
ugh! I hate vr. they had to go and make air (an already complicated coaster to get into) worse by using vr. it was stressful and I had to hold the googgles on the whole way round not to mention the fact I could barley breath thanks to the goggles covering my nose. I think vr ruins the ride. I go on the ride to experience it not to watch some shaky images that make the ride feel like a simulator. galactica was awful, I enjoyed the very last few seconds where I took the goggles off and could see the ground. we were barely moving and I found it more Thrilling! if they put vr on Nemesis I will go off on one! it's my second favourite coaster and they better not ruin it!
Nemesis is 21 years old. I went back to Alton Towers last month and I just couldn't get close to Nemesis, I had the sudden feeling that the track would suddenly snap due to age. ;_;
As some one who has an appreciation for a rides story line I loved the explanation of Nemesis creature's biology.

21 years since opening, and Nemesis is still the best coaster I have ever ridden (and that is saying something). A truly iconic coaster!!.

I think I first rode Nemesis in 2015, it was my first major rollercoaster. So I rode Nemesis on it's 21st anniversary.
In the video, they gave an example of a wooden coaster coming to Alton towers

So how did it become SW3 if it was SW2?
I think there was a couple revisions of the design. After many revisions, the ride became much different, they considered it SW3.
