To have full access to the chinese OBD BoB you need it connected to the scan tool which enables communication with the ECM. As you are running the PICO through the chinese BoB and getting additional LED's flashing, that tells me the pins/wiring on the chinese BoB are working OK. What year vehicle were you testing? was it can bus or old K line?
All those Chinese breakouts are the same. I bought the big GODIAG and that's completely rubbish , to the point of being dangerous. It showed up a k line fault when the launch plugged into it. On a vehicle that never had a k line fault. And when cleared and re scanned with just the launch.....no fault. That's as far as I was willing to test it. It went straight back.
Hello man I had a obd2 breakout box I bought it this days and I want to use it for work but am afraid that it will not work because I tried to test the can bus resistance but it gives no reading should I conecte it with a scan tool or not to test the can bus resistance

I was thinking about buying one of these cheap break out boxes from ebay but not anymore. Its cheap for a reason.

Is is possible to read the CAN signals using the chinese BOX? I don't care about the LEDs not flashing, it's not a BIG problem.
