Instead of bookmarks, I started buying those vinyl water bottle stickers and putting them on thick paper and cutting them out. So much cheaper ($5-9 for 100) and you can get a great variety. I pick the ones I like out, then take the rest to work (med clinic. Kids love them). Just a tip for those who can't afford the pricier bookmarks
I feel like "The Measure" is an absolute Kayla book. I'll be shocked if you end up not loving it. It screams your taste in books. *psst* Kayla fell out of her romance era? I cheered! Finally!!
Tip for those things that we put anywhere around our house: have a bin ou drawer for it, if it's just a few items one bin for the whole house is fine, if its everywhere and a lot one bin for most rooms 😊
I went through my bookmarks too recently, alongside my latest gathering for a charity shop donation pile, and I matched up bookmarks to books with similar ~vibes~ and hid them inside as a little extra gift for people who chose that book 😊 I love when I buy a book and it has something random inside it!
My bookshelves are the thing that bring me the most joy in my house (followed very speedily by my plants 🌱and then i guess my husband 😂) but i love walking past them and knowing that every single book on them is something I've adored and I'm glad you've got that now too! ❤❤

I loved this video because it was so fun to see behind the scenes-especially since I’m going though my own summer cleaning and organizing! You always have such a chill vibe, even when cleaning / organizing!
I am also going through all my bookshelves and do a big reorganization. As well as the kids' school stuff and trying to be prepared ahead of time for back to school. I always feel so much better after getting things organized and cleaned up.
I'm currently in the middle of Jurassic Park now! I think you're gonna love it! It's actually pretty different from the movie to the point it feels like a whole different experience.
I highly recommend The Mimicking of Known Successes! I really enjoyed the audiobook specifically as well. The audio for The Family Game is also pretty good

i used to do something similar because i love to collect but it was literally me having to move house that made me go "oh i dont need every book" because the idea of having to move another book box made me want to scream lol i was able to let go of so many things i thought id never want to let go of. its been years now and i dont regret it lol

I'm moving soon and have been overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Things I Have To Do before leaving so this was super motivational to get myself together.
Oooh, I look through the New Releases section on Goodreads every month as well. It is so helpful to see the books from authors that I have read from before.
I was thinking the same! My husband told me I should use a spare bedroom and just add shelves up there and make it a library/office/craft room. I might use my current setup as my TBR shelves and keep collecting them upstairs, slowly but surely.😊
I love unhauling books so much because it annoys me to look at books I didn’t like. If only I could apply this to literally any other aspect of my life
I love that your content is planned so far in advance. In awe of the commitment and consistency in sticking to your plans and reading set tbrs. As a mood reader that seems like a quick road to slumping but as someone who loves organising and planning that sounds like it might help me focus my reading, so maybe I should give planning my reading a go. The Measure, and 56 Days, are both such good books! Also worth having a look if you can request your library get books! My library has a form you can fill out with the details and then they review it and decide whether to buy it; then if they do you are the first person to get it. I have requested a couple of books this year when there is a new book I want to read and a month or two out it's not showing as on order, and both times they have bought the book!

Seconding Leech as a recc and making it a point to stress how much I adored the audiobook during my hybrid read last year during the spooky season. I still think about it and it’s definitely one of my favourite of the sci-fi horror genre!

I had such a good romance reading year in 2022 but this year hasn't been great. I have DNF'ed a bunch and of the 3 I did finish none of them had me over the moon. I have however had a fabulous horror and fantasy year. I have to thank you because I'm head over heels in love with The Wayward Children series
I just read Eartheater and gave it 4 ⭐! It had a unique premise but felt a bit draggy in the middle, but overall I really enjoyed it! Great video as always! I always find your stats videos interesting and fun to watch!

You can apply for a grant to start a free little library in your front yard. You can even buy a kit to build the box if you aren't design savvy.

I plan my reading, but then I also always feel free to change my plans if i want to later. I think it's a good balance.
