Exodia doesn't care if you're alive. He was summoned, and someone is getting obliterated.
It's a simple job, but someone's gotta do it
Exodia said, "WE didn't lose, YOU lost"
Lmao
Underrated comment
😂
That's actually a sickass dynamic. And, as a bonus, the animation of both you winning and losing at the same time is amazing!!!
Facts you think you lose/the other person thinks they win but the harsh reality of the forbidden one had something else to say😂😂
My man finally got his arms and legs back. Don't ruin this for him lmaoo
Can also happen with both players getting Exodia. I remember the pokemon tcg had similar rules, though there, if you achieve two win conditions and your opponent only one, you actually win. Don't know if it's the same in Yu-Gi-Oh
Exodia doesnt care If you have Life Points, If she is Unleashed, she obliterates..smashing both Heads on the Table and leaving with badass music
It looks pretty cool for sure, but strictly speaking the Exodia player should lose here
Opponent: You Lose!
Exodia: We lose.
😂😂😂😂

I can genuenly imagine this as the ending to an anime duel. The MC loses all his LP, falls to the ground but then Exodia is fully unleashed and *obliterates* the antagonist as well.
I was just about to say that.
The Shadow Realm spares no one.
Now *that's* a missed opportunity right there. Can you imagine if this was how Adrian's duel with Yubel actually ended?
i saw the same thing
The anime would be like*after the explosion that went off in the protagonists face*
Antagonist gasps "gah! How are you still standing??? I CLEEARED YOUR LIFE POINTS"
Protagonist emerging from the smoke as a light emits from behind him. "not so fast embodiment of darkness. Your cards EFFECT let's me draw one more card BEFORE it activated."
A "impossible! Not the legendary-"
"That's RIGHT!" Exodia fully emerges"exodia! Obliterate!"
The only time you can draw all 5 pieces of Exodia and still not win.
If you draw Exodia off Allure of Darkness, you still have to banish from hand before you get the alternate win con. So you have to have a 6th dark to banish.
There is another time. If your opponent also happens to draw exodia.
I once lost to deck out while having all exodia pieces in hand
@Kenneth M. One day of peace lol double exodia
will if your apponent got the 5 parts of exodia too it will end in a draw
Exodia appearing after you died makes exodia look vengeful as hell. 😂
Definition of
“ i don’t have to win, we both just have to lose”😂
More like, "I don't need to win, I just need to stop you from winning"
More like “i dont care to win… as long as you dont either” thats why i only play throwback format where any card is allowed and go for self destruct button every duel
😂😂😂This comment, made my day
Lol imagine an anime duel with this mechanic, like somebody is using the Seal of Orichalcos, and the other player loses the duel but also assembles Exodia at the same time. Dude didn’t lose the duel, so does he loses his soul?
A youtube short that actually shows something interesting and funny

Exodia said hold my beer, we ain't losing
He ain't winning either, but he's got the spirit
I think it’s losing by a minimum. Cuz you get the “you lose sign”. And just barely get the “draw”sign. Haha
Like the play on words, it’s a Draw Exodia deck 😂
The perfect "if i'm going down i'm taking you with me" moment
Yugi winning and losing to kaiba 1999(colorized)
You lost. But Exodia obliterates, so the opponent also lost. Makes perfect sense. DRAW
Exodia's last will. Thank you for posing the question. I ended up satisfied with knowing the answer. It looks cool too.
Imagine the guy celebrating then realizing it's a draw
Emotional damage.😂😂😂
Had that happen to me once (I was on the losing side): all I had on my side of the field was a face-down defense position monster (I believe it was Scapeghost, it was my 2nd to last failsafe since the opponent removed the other three cards I had on my side of the field before initiating the Battle Phase) and the Bye-Bye Damage Trap card. I had only 800 LP left and the opponent already used up their 2 negates (Baronne de Fleur and Shooting Quasar Dragon) in stopping me from special summoning using my using my Eldlixir Trap and Glow-up Bloom for Eldlich and Doomking respectively (needed Doomking to deal with Baronne and I had a to get Eldlich out on the field to deal with Quasar since I had a Seven Cities of the Golden Land card and a Shiranui Squire from an earlier draw). In the end instead of taking the bait they ended up summoning Blue Eyes Chaos Max Dragon and attacked me that way so I activated my Trap resulting in a draw since I managed to KO him too. I laughed super hard at that outcome ngl 😂🤣
I may die but Exodia here is dragging you to the depths of the shadow realm with me.
You lose, but he dies.
Exodia is so powerful... imagine the only card can save you when your LP hits zero is drawing the 5th Exodia piece!!!
Might be other win the game cards too -- or if your opponent also hits 0 LP
Unless you’re in the anime where Infernity Zero exists
@@ibra8096Also the anime versions of Divine Serpent Geh and Relay Soul.
@@psymarProbably win card conditions that you only get on hand.
I think, not monster set win condition or other win conditions like jackpot or lucky 7 (forgot the name) since they need to be on the field.
@@ashurad_fox5991 Jackpot can draw, if 3 copies are in the graveyard with last one being destroyed.
Dragon stamp, MST with coffin seller can destroy the last Jackpot, while lowering life points to zero.
The opponent must have made a double take at seeing the "opponent''s life points hit zero" animation, only for exodia to do a jump scare.
Pulled out the "With this treasure i summon"
What’s more embarrassing is if you play one day of peace and then both of you draw your last exodia card at the exact same time which also makes it a draw.
love that his cards got (animated) destroyed and then showing the exodia win condition. its like "kaboooooooom im dealive"
It works like self destruct
You died and your opponent also died at the same time basically
The Shadow Realm spares no one.
Not in TCG/OCG exodia only works outside of chains and after everything has resolved already
That just made history.
Exodia gets revenge for his master.
Watching a full master duel stream, I can't. Watching a master duel short, I can. 😆
Its crazy that they actually thought about this and programed a draw into the game
"Ahh Exodia!! No one's ever been able to summon him!"
"I may not have defeated you Yugi, but I can still eliminate you!"
Mutually assured destruction is a hell of a drug
Nice a tuber who actually provides content I'm unaware of nice hats off to you! You have answered a question I'm been pondering upon for quite some time.
Exodia be like: I don't care if you lose, somebody is catching this beam.
I usually play Red-Eyes Burn when I know I am going to lose
What the Franklin just happened yo... Exodia The Forbidden one you drew the match mind blown while taking 6000 damage mind you inflicted damage to yourself.🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
This actually doesnt make sense according to the rules as ive come to understand them over the two and a half decades ive played... Upon assembling all five pieces, i was under the impression you win then and there; the chain doesnt even continue resolving. Now im frustrated that i have to go do some deep digging on this... Is it different in OCG perhaps?
Truth is that know one knows the rules of YGO
Your opponent fulfilled a win condition, which was bringing your LP down to 0
You fulfilled a win condition, which was using Exodia's "effect"
Since both players fulfilled a win condition at the exact same time, it's a draw, it's that simple
You take damage before you get to resolve effects. You lose.
Both instances happen at the same time, exodia's eff is not an effect per se but a condition so it applies at the moment all pieces are in hand, same thing happens with Relay Soul vs Exodia.
@@ex.ver.5818 I’m bouta cum
Correct, it's not an effect, so it applies immediately, hence it's a draw
"Task failed successfully"
You Lose
Exodia: Our Lose Comrade
It actually you lose but you opponent is obliterated.
That.... is actually an achievement.
When you DRAW Exodia and lose at the same time.
EXODIA OBLI-Dies
The enemy: what the FUUUU dies
both resolved immediately. amazing
Now we need to see what happens when both players draw exodia at the same time. Like with slifers trap cards to draw 6
I can't control it. Exodia rises
I feel like it’s a question that didn’t need to be asked, but looks sick asf in master duel with all the animations
Better question, both players open all 5 peices. Win cons don't care about turn player priority
In this case. since both win conditions happen at the same time, the duel is considered DRAW. However, if effects activate as chain, the first to resolve and achieve win condition WINS and the rest of the chain is abandoned.
Ah no. Win conditions are win cons. They are outside the game mechanics, they are similar to skills in duel links. There is no I did it first.
@@sarthakarora3212 Win conditions are game mechanics, that includes reducing a player's LP to 0, decking them out, when a player surrenders, and other alternative win conditions like Exodia.
In a multiple chain scenario, any remaining chains or effects are stopped when win condition happens on the current chain. If multiple win conditions occur at the same instance, then all are valid win conditions.
@@sandradee4331 make a video about it please, i wanna see
@@JackahoonaLaGuna just check the ruling for allure of darkness & exodia, then z'll get that
@@musiyevonchilla6769 In Exodia's case, the banish effect of Allure of Darkness must resolve first. So if one or more Exodia piece is banished by the effect, you can't declare a win. Similar case with Graceful Charity, Dark World Dealings, and the like.
If you draw exodia and your opponent draws exodia at the same time, the game draws too
Dude really be summoning mahoraga
When Exodia uses the Deutsche Bahn.
Think I'm losing? No we losing. roses are red, weapons against me won't Prosper, with this sacred Treasure I summon big Raga the Op stoppa
Free gojo ni-
This takes Kaiba’s quote to Yami Yugi to a whole another level.
“Draw Your Last Pathetic Card”!
Lol ahaha
This is actually due to both players getting a win condition at the same time. For one side, it's Exodia, for the other side it's opponent's LP reaching 0.
Same thing happens when both players draw Exodia at the same time, or both die to an effect that damages both players.
Correct explanation. However, when you draw the last Exodia piece and deck out at the same time, you win. That is, because decking-out is not a win condition for your opponent, but a lose condition for you.
You're declared decked out if, through normal draw or effect, the number of cards you are required to draw is more than what's remaining in the deck.
Decking out, as stated above, is definitely a win condition (or lose condition however you phrase it). Mere having zero cards in the deck is not decking out. It's only after you are required to draw afterwards.
Error 404: Switch case not found.
Exodia: Oh my really I'm destroying both of your asses.
I do not play Master Duel, but in TCG, as of March 2015, if your LP hit 0 or you are required to draw but have 0 cards remaining, you lose immediately, even if there is an effect still resolving (in which case, the resolving effect just stops and doesn't finish resolving). Since the application of alternate win conditions such as Exodia still has to wait for any currently resolving effect to finish resolving, this generally means that LP hitting 0 will "supersede" things like Exodia.
Also, if you had a case like, activated Pot of Greed with only 2 cards in your deck, Runick player chains something to banish 1 card from your Deck, then Pot of Greed resolves and draws your final Exodia piece, you lose the Duel because you decked out by being unable to draw the second card required by Pot of Greed during the resolution of Pot of Greed, but Exodia cannot apply until after the resolution of Pot of Greed.
So it is important to recognize that Master Duel is its own format, and generically we cannot consider any rulings or game mechanics in Master Duel to be also applicable to TCG.
Rather than MD having its own rule for this scenario, I think it's more likely that the devs didn't consider this case, and the draw was a bug that should be fixed
I feel like a end all being like exodia should supercede that honestly. Given that the effect out right says tgat you win the duel the monent the cards needed are in your hand. So in a pot of greed deck out thr very moment exodia is fully in hand thr game would end. Exodias effect isn't exactly activatable, it just happens. Unless an errata happens it reads as a EABA (end all be all)
Okay so what if instead of pot of greed it was maxx c (yea I know they’re both banned in tcg) and what if you keep drawing till the last piece is added to your hand would exodia not resolve till the end of their turn? (Since maxx c says till the end of the turn)
@@ibra8096 If you draw the last piece of Exodia from Maxx C, you immediately win as soon as the action of drawing is complete. You cannot deck out from Maxx C until your deck is already at 0 cards and you are required to draw again, but you will have applied Exodia's win condition before this happens, so I don't think there are any scenarios where you wouldn't win by Exodia from Maxx C. Also, Exodia's win condition applies as soon as possible and certainly doesn't have to wait until the end of the turn.
For Pot of Greed, firstly, if you have less than 2 cards left in your Deck, you cannot activate Pot of Greed at all. If you have exactly 2 cards left and you successfully resolve Pot of Greed, if the final piece of Exodia was one of those 2 cards, you then win the Duel. If you activate Pot of Greed while having, say, exactly 2 cards, then your opponent chains something that makes it so there are less than 2 cards in your Deck, you would lose when Pot of Greed tries to resolve. However, if the thing your opponent chained caused you to draw the cards yourself and you drew the last part of Exodia, then you would win BEFORE Pot of Greed resolves.
As far as I know, all win conditions, both the normal ones and the alternate ones, work the same. If your life points hit zero, you can't draw, or have five pieces of Exodia in your hand in the middle of the effect resolution, the effect doesn't continue to resolve, you lose/win immediately.
Basically it all comes down to timing, since the damage is taken at the _same time_ the card is drawn, the game ends in a tie. If the damage and card-draw resolves _in an order,_ then that resolution order determines the outcome.
U know what they say u never know what will happen in a duel
You draw Exodia and you draw. Seems perfect.
The anime plot armor almost kicked in for a moment there 😅
Player: exodia? We lost.
Exodia: either way im here somebody gonna be torned open.
It is the effect of Performapal Popperup that did him in since he could not special summon any Odd-Eyes or Magician Pendulum monsters so he paid the devil to lose and drag his opponent too.
If “I’m leavin here with something” was a card 😭
Having a draw with complete exodia is a win.
Game is like “technically you lost but your opponent doesn’t exist anymore so it’s a draw I guess”
Mutually assured destruction
This is actually crazy
Oddly enough this only happens in this game. With paper Yugioh the player whose lp hits 0 loses regardless of anything else happening, including exodia.
That's is a win in my book to even pull it off.
Mission failed.....successfully!!
That's genuinely hilarious
It’s over Kaiba. You’ve been defeated.
“Flip card” So will you, Yugi. Quite a handy cards I found lying around.
I’ve never seen the “draw” title after a duel before 😂
Your opponent is a little confused that it's a draw with this play
That's actually hilarious
Exodia isn’t considered an effect but a win condition. Both players have met a win condition so of course it’s a draw.
This is not correct and should be fixed. In order to declare the win condition of Exodia, popperup has to fully resolve first. So your LP would already be 0 and the duel would have ended before you get the win condition.
@Bab Rad not true bc the card was in ur hand prior to the damage bc the draw was the cost.. so if any argument is gonna be made it should be that the win from exodia is prior to the burn
@@yaboyvickk5635 you lose LP during the resolution of the card, so it's before.
Just like allure.
Not even the mighty Exodia can overrule the Destiny that is a Draw!
Exodia : whats the probelm, i dont care if you losing or winning, my job is tu pop up and obliterated something and im done
Imagine if there was a quickplay spell that somehow allowed you to steal exodia right before the effect activated. Be so hilarious.
This makes Exodia look super petty. Like he's throwing a tantrum from not winning 😂
This is basically a dual win con for both players so; Player A took -6000 damage to lose from their side but the game sees that you have drawn Exodia and due to Exodias conditional effect from having all 5 pieces in hand it comes to a draw
What caused him to burn fo 6k?
That’s so funny 😂😂😂😂 just imagine being able to and then this happens.
Getting the draw with Exodia... The opponent have Exodia's respect😂 he's officially a living legend approved by Exodia
Kaiba: WTF is this bullshit
*Increase ptsd*
It can also happen when you attack a high attack monster using Relinquish. You take battle dmg and enemy will receive effect dmg.
I sacrifice all my life points to assemble all the pieces to victory! I summon the mighty Ex.. NO! WHAT IS THIS FEELING?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!! (dies)
This is good to know actually
I was expecting a sort of unstoppable force vs immovable object scenario.
Game crashes
If I'm to go down, I'll most definitely take you with me😂
If both players draw exodia its also a draw. I tested that one out
One day of peace let's go
Not even Yugi's Grandpa could pull that off
In Jan 2022 before the release of MD the OCG ruling database has updated the ruling about this case exactly:unlike MD you will lost and exodia win will be denied
That's crazy!
If you lose your lp - you lose the game, if you summon exodia with 5 pieces - the other player loses. Meaning a draw.
Same thing happens when both players draw exodia at the same time as well
If I go down, I AM *_TAKING YOU WITH ME!!_*
I would be mad and shocked if my opponent pulled something like this on me
Man I would have been pissed
Haha insane
