Odd how this channel has become my gentle reminder that the weekend is drawing to a close. A gentle meander through somebody else’s week through food, with no drama or being “showy”. It’s my Countryfile or Songs of Praise. 😂

Midwestern American meal--pork chops cooked with apples and onions and maybe cabbage. Or pork lion filled with stuffing and apples. Great flavor.
My Gran made dinner for all the family within travelling time and you could always tell what day of the week it was by what she made. I went each day until I was 17 and started work. Each Tuesday she made stovies but she called it Uncle Alex as it was his favourite. I was married and in my 20s before I discovered the proper name.
I so enjoy your videos! When you said you loved anything with mashed potatoes, I think we're related...😊

@@WhatsForTea I grew up in a large family in a rural area of Indiana. Potatoes were a feature of nearly every meal. Mom would cook 5 pounds of potatoes to mash to serve 12 people. Your meals are similar to the food I grew up with. Lots of root vegetables and savory meats. And, your voice is musical, compared to our Midwestern drawl.

I love apple and pork burgers. First time I had one was in a pub in Partick across from the Art Galleries when I was back home for a visit. Was a few years ago so can’t remember the name of the pub but started making them when I got back to the US. Pork and apple is such a great combination. 🏴🇺🇸
Bit late catching up with this, this week. But worth waiting to see. Lovely selection of meals that are always so practical and tasty. Love the sounds of honey mustard chicken. It looked really yummy!

I just love the way you made 'terraces' on those mashed potatoes for the chicken and gravy to sit in - must remember that trick!
Daylight savings stopped at the weekend so now on NZ Standard time, so was trying to guess what time I would see this, but there it was, ready and waiting for me. Another great week of meals. thank you.

I love the Hello Fresh Recipes. I have made the Apple burger but I use ground chicken. We love your Stovies recipe. Yay for the Meatballs in the slow cooker. Soup and Sandwich supper is always welcome. I want to do some macaroni in Alfredo I usually use spaghetti or Linguini. Your steak dinner looks fabulous. TY. Love ya.

Lovely meals Cheryl as always. Pork mince is my mince of choice I've often made pork.& apple burgers, they are delicious so tasty & easy to.make. your soup & toasty sandwiches always look like a gourmet meal, I must try that fir our tea 1 night. So many different combinations you could have so be a good 1 to do. That honey mustard chicken looks nice as well, unfortunate my husbabd not keen on mustard, he's OK with maybe a hint of it in food but I don't think he woukd like it, but I woukd so that's a niggt maybe where we both eat something different. Really like your blue plates Cheryl.

I usually watch your channel with my husband. He has been in hospital for 2 months after having a stroke. Just when I thought the food couldn't get any worse they sent him chana masala for lunch. It looked like something a dog might deposit. There's a new channel idea, hospital meals of the week. 💩🤢🇨🇦🤣
Chana masala is delicious,we all need to try new things.I am sorry your husband is sick,and really hope he can be home soon,I know how it feels,my husband was in hospital for a while before he died.
That’s unsusal to have oatcakes with stoves but looks lovely where I stay in Glasgow stoves is links sausages hope your doing well epithet your sw 🐝🐝

My Sunday activities are ramping up again, so it’s 12 hours since posting that I’m getting around to watching your video! That tip about putting the mustard in the mashed potatoes is one I’m going to have to steal. (I wonder if mixing whole grain mustard into sour cream and topping a baked potato would be as good?)

I wonder what "Prison Meals Of The Week" will be like?
Incidentally, my "crime" is using more than 200 words in an email to my landlord! (It's a bit more complicated than that, but that's basically it!)
