This is probably my favorite track from the game. It's the kind of music you hear when you're not quite at the climax, but you're building to it. It's so epic.
Man, this track truly does feel like a spiritual successor to Studying The Factory, doesn't it? I know I'm not the first to make this comparison, but there's a bunch of other Kirby 64 parallels to be found throughout Forgotten Land, sooooo...
Friendship with Studying the Factory isn’t over but Burning Churning Power Plant is my new best friend. I especially love the piano here at 2:16 . It sounds so sinister
This song is so damn good, hearing it the first time with my brother was so gratifying. Seeing Kirby and Bandana Dee running along to the music felt so good, it gave me a sense of uncertainty, urgency and determination which really hit for me. ^-^
When I saw a factory level I was really hoping to see Factory Inspection in 3D, with a possible encounter with HR-H, but honestly I love this even more.
Freaking love everything about this track. It's the perfect balance of menacing, melodic, energetic... it's breathtaking on first listen, and perfectly fits the mood of a main character blitzing through a dangerous industrial area to save their friends. The percussion in the background also heavily reminds me of Nether Animal from Unreal Tournament, which is a comparison I'd NEVER have thought I'd make with a Kirby game of all things.
Love this description, this song definitely gives me the feeling of Kirby burning down everything in his way lonely, angry, and determined to save his friend! The harshness of the opening section with the melancholic melody of the latter makes it feel really emotional to me.

Interesting enough the chords making the buzzing sound is exactly how a powerline on fire would sound too. So props to the band understanding what a "burning, churring power plant" sound actually sound like.
@@TheLegitAlpha yeah I get that vibe from it too... I mean the boss level is on a volcano and there are no electrical powers in the game. but I mean the title and the sound kind of had me thinking of the actual noise that power lines do when they are actually on fire is all I was mentioning.
Agreed with the other comments that said this is the successor of Factory Inspection. Really cool dystopian and giving hope tunes. But at 1:35, the melodies seem to be having a strong resemblance with the last part of Echo's Edge (around minutes 1:00 at Echo's Edge). I just realized when I accidentally hummed both. Edit: Also in 0:49 have really similar melodies to Robobot: Loud Locomotive, the time stamp is also at 0:49 in the both songs. I love that this Forgotten Land has so many OSTs, not just remixes. I finally figured out what 0:49 sounds like to me. Some people are saying they hear bits of Factory Inspection or Snowball Scuffle in here. I don't hear it (yet), but I do hear Sand Canyon 3. Do with that what you will.
0:50 I LOVE the callback in this song to Royal Road from Kirby Triple Deluxe! That’s a nice touch, it was my very first Kirby game, that takes me back!
@@professornova1236 I don't hear the resemblance. regardless, it's definitely a coincidence. this game did very few remixes, so it's unlikely that this theme for a powerplant in a fire world would suddenly include a remix of a snow level. it sounds more like sand canyon 3 to me. but even then, there's differences, so that's probably not intentional either.

The composers of Kirby music really love leitmotifs. The opening riff in Burning, Churning Power Plant can be heard in the background of Moonstruck Blossom.
After listening to Kirby 64’s studying the power plant, this definitely can’t compare. However, it’s still an amazing song, accompanied by the best ost in Kirby.
I used space ranger almost exclusively for the entirety of the Powerplant and lab a because it fit the aesthetic so well, and this song just proved my point even more
0:49 I swear I’ve heard this in a different game, I know it sounds like house of horrors, but it’s somewhere else as well. Maybe crystal shards, or It might be sand canyon 3, though the part just after is definitely keychain collecting in triple deluxe, which is a remix of something else, I can’t remember
Thought of this song as I was planning to sell my switch and this game after completing it when it launched. Brings back memories from 2 years, thank you Kirby for being with me forever
Something the Kirby 64, robobot and this one does imply is what the hell were the humans doing in the past? It is strongly implied that 64 they had to gtfo, made a super robot and leave earth in nuclear winter, to live in dreamland (Adelaide and Ripple Star's Queen is proof that atleast a part of humanity lives in dreamland and the neighboring planets.) Well i have a theory, a very disturbing one. Humanity once lived originally in the forgotten land, using whatever *god* is elfilis. They managed to trap him and used their powers to advance their civilization and go to better lands (they probably set their sights on dreamland only to settle in shiver star/earth) . Probably in fear of retaliation from the broken god or the animals that started to get sentient. As for what the hell happened to shiver star, robobot may leave a theory. It was probably one of Haltmann's first attempts at robotizing the population and the planet. The humans were tech savvy enough to build off the giant robot to fend off Haltmann and used nukes, which settled the planet in a nuclear winter. Now near inhospitable, they decided to rebuild themselves in other planets, some even decided to finally relax and live together with the god of dreams and stars.
Their are a few. This song has a lot of extra beats mixed in with a few leitmotifs but rearranged. Factory inspection, sand canyon 3 (possibly) and loud locomotive. It’s interesting to here what the song sounds like to other people
