Electric Meter Rejecting Units - How to resolve it.

How to resolve the issue of your electric meter rejecting the units you bought.
1. Wrong Meter Number used for buying the electric units.
2. Your distribution company changed the rates and you need to generate the KCT.

Sometimes network problems may cause that and you just have to keep trying. I do hope you connected the battery well and also that the device is well connected to the socket.
Also check that your meter number is correct and that you did not mistakenly recharge for a different meter.

I didnt have to use a site. Immediately I logged into my profile on buypwer. I saw the KCT codes in my profile.

I was able to get my KCT but I still can't use it because it keeps saying timeout.
What can I do about that?

There are 2 things that may be the caused:
1. A network issue, in that case, try again after a few hours.
2. Ensure your meter has not entered tamper mode. The code for checking this is mostly written on the sticker of your meter (depending on the type).

Although my light has completely gone off and I'm using battery to power the meter.

Some meters don't allow only battery. Try a neighbour's house that has electricity.
Depending on your meter, it might need battery and still require you to plug it to a socket.
While doing all these, make sure there is light on the pole wire first.
