Is it easy for you to remember the names of your dolls?
Not easy, because I suffer for short term memory loss (like Dory) I have to write down what Made to Move body, head of dolls, then the name of the doll. I just wrote down my latest doll head swap. Light blue Made to Move Light blue top & Snow White 2020 head, along with her outfits.

I think Jacob's head looked so weird on the Descendants body because the neck was so skinny. The new Ken body is a good enough match, big improvement. I wish it was the default Ken skin tone instead of slightly darker. Variety is great and all, but we are up to 4 MTMs now and not one of them is regular Ken colored. I guess we have the posable collector Ken bodies in the meantime, but still.
Right? They gotta plan the skin tone choices better for the dolls that already have been heavily pushed with no articulation. Im hopeful we will get more variety though. Its a start
im new to the page thanks for the awesome video's gypsy.the way you. remove the Ken's head for the rebody its very easy i thought it would be hard but quit easy.the twilight dolls in movie are gr8 i have all the doll's except one.my doll collection is fabulous.i have alot of the fashionista dolls rebodying them is really fun.thanks again for the gr8 videos.ill be watching😊

Awesome review. Thanks for sharing. I guess the made to move body Ken has to be a movable body to bend his legs and his arms wheel himself in the chair. It would be awkward to be to stiff. Lol

Gypsie - you sound so upbeat these days and it's so nice to hear. I hope you are feeling inside what you are imparting outside. I hope you and your family are enjoying the PNW. I lived in WA for 9 of 11 years between 1987 and 1998 and truly enjoyed it. But not all do. I'm glad to see you back. I'll be buying at least 2 of the W/C Ken. Too Hunky Toys said rooted hair surfer matches W/C Ken and other than other molded hair Kens is the only body that matches rooted hair surfer Ken. I have a Jacob head (came on a body with molded clothes except for a jacket (or vest) on a green hair body. It's close but not great but we get by. Look at the copyright at the back of the head by where it fits on the neck - if they are the same sculpt the impression will be the same. There are W/Cs like these in real life - they are for young things who really can push themselves around quickly. And these for Ken are wider so the curvies can sit in them more comfortably. So buy a Becky W/C from the turn of the century -- they have handles. Goo Gone removes residue if you find that over time the label leaves one. You're saying that you don't have the time to heat the head before removing the head but you have the time to fix the neck if it breaks? Hmmmm . . . LOL Thanks for the video. It helped.

Great video. I guessed right that the wheelchair ken will match the long haired one. I've seen people putting Jacobs head on fresh squad boys body. I'm glad you placed Jacob and the surfer ken together as I made mine Half native American/ half white and since Jacob is supposed to be Native American I want see how the surfer ken would look before him. Also, Dalpinder popping up during video is so funny 😂

Hey! So you mentioned that you figured out how to deal with the broken neck problem. Do you have a video of that? I have some old dolls from the 60’s that were ruined by bratty kids, and I’d love to learn a way to fix the old gals.
I don't have a tutorial yet, honestly, I started thinking its too complex for people to bother with it... but since u ask, I will surely make it a priority tutorial. Its definitely fixable. U may need to remind me a few more times though, just saying. 😅 no worries, I won't be annoyed.

I have Edward and Jacob . Jacob is the first line of Twilight dolls he's rare because he has his wolf tattoo upside down . I'm a collector of Barbie and other doll series . I have 372 various dolls a lot of Fashionistas

I’m trying to match my Disney Store Princess dolls up to Made to Move bodies. Got some of then right and some wrong (Ariel is on the wrong body) broke the neck peg on the made to move body, tried to remove the peg with my forceps and they broke. So now I need a new Ariel doll just for the head. I can’t find my spare forceps.
yikes! it happens. I have found a solution to fixing them pegs, almost to the same level of functionality that mattel makes them. I will be sure to post a tutorial on those soon. hang in there!
I'd really love to see a comparison of the BMR Ken body versus the wheelchair Fashionista body for Jacob. I've heard conflicting reports, each stating that their own chosen body is perfect and the other is awful. I'd love to have the Jacob head on a MTM body, but I'm having trouble picking which body I want. Do you think you could maybe show us a comparison some time?
I will do my best to capture on camera or at least post here in the community section... off the top of my head, I have had my Jacob on the wheelchair ken body and he seems to blend well with it. I think I tried to compare him to bmr green hair ken, and he was too brown. Jacob is more reddish tan, like the wheelchair ken.

Sure hope so. Even if skin tones don't match, I think its important for content creators to share the info... especially with dolls that have unusual skin tones that are tricky to match. Thanks for requesting!

No, I never had them. I'm interested in exploring them but I haven't found the right one
A good tip on remembering the names is just to tie it into a storyline you've created. Why not write it down and pin a picture of said doll, or actor in this case, and maybe that can help ;)
Very good tip... I used to do this too, until I started getting more dolls than I could manage to write stories for. 🤣 after 50 dolls or so, I would start to forget which dolls I had named because i wasn't handling each doll on a frequent basis. But this method definitely works while the collections are smaller.

My stores do t have the mtm wheel chair Ke. But I'm thinking of getting like 4. But only when my store gets him bc discount!

The head sculpts are not the same. If you will check the back of the head molds, you will notice that the long hair is made last 2019.

Thanks, boo! I'm glad we got our wind back. I tried so hard to stay away from my dollies and tell myself I will be "normal" now ... But who am I fooling? Normal is boring and my personality can't handle it for long. We have a fantastic year of video concepts in production. I'm excited for the next inevitable year of quarantine and I'm gonna spend with my dolly friends!
