The solution? No border, united ireland. Return ireland to tve irish
If it was that simple, it would've happened already. Too many protestants wouldn't except that I'm afraid.
@@posniknelb6114they’re not in the minority.
@niallward8885 what the hell are you talking about? Either way they would be the minority. If integrated into Ireland and then the Northern Ireland Protestants would be a minority and currently the interests of Northern Ireland Protestants have a minority faction within the British House of Commons... it was a lot more complicated 100 years ag...
@@dpm2515 I agree
I know they're not, but they would be if the north became part of the republic. It's something loyalists would never ever agree to.
The border that divides ireland into two must come down ireland must be reunited as one country the Berlin Wall came down and the two sides live together in peace if Germany can do it Ireland can do it....,
Difference was Germans all seen themselves as Germans
Tiocfaidh ár lá! 🇮🇪
This was such a powerful documentary! Thank you again, ATL!💚🇮🇪💚
Division breeds Division, and some in Unionism wants to keep it that way.
The British empire has done it for centuries... divide and conquer
Once again TL, thank you for posting these : I have a 16 year old kid, he grew up in USA, I grew up on the border - he is watching these with his mouth hanging open…
Great content indeed, everyone suffered and many still are.
The story about the Ald lad holding onto the cows tail was my favourite
I remember in Glasgow getting asked what school I went to. If it was catholic sounding, ye just didn't get the job. Next please was usually the answer.
I still get that in Glasgow to this day! Always have “i kick with my left” as an answer 😉
My wife fancied working in a bank when she left school. She had all the relevant exam grades, and mentioned to her dad about the application she was making. He told her that, as a Catholic, she wouldn’t get the job. She ignored him and went ahead - never had a chance.
Should have said I can sing the sash, but do ya want it in Irish or English lol
Bullshit. The Scottish need to stop thinking they live through another lands troubles. I think you're mistaken
@@AndrewWands I'm definitely not mistaken
Had a laugh at the man saying they called protestant proxy goats , when I was a kid in Glasgow we called the protestant kids Prody dogs. And we were Catholic cats who eat the rats. Prody dogs eat the frogs 😂😂
Thanks Atl another fantastic informative video sad stories on both sides brought a tear to my eyes Ireland has come a long way since the peace process but still has a way to go god bless all that has been affected by the troubles and wish all strength going forward.
Thank you so much for sharing another documantery. As always,....great !!
Keep in up. Stay healthy.
Greetings from Germany. 🙂💚✌
I love you're uploads very informative.. Great job 👍
Thank you @ATL for uploading this , nobody wants to go back to the bad old days but the truth is if history has taught us anything it's that as long as their is a British presence in Ireland...There will always be those who will oppose it...!! #ATL #Saoírse #EíreNuá #OglaíghNaEíreánn #ErínGoBrágh
Great documentary! Very informative. I hope I get to see a United Ireland in my lifetime 💚🤍🧡
Awesome archive films and interesting interviews from witnesses, very entertaining. Divided society was not an Irish uniqueness but the stories U reminded in this YT piece are mesmerizing due to it's intensity, robust evidence and bond to today's reality. ❤ From Poland for all the people living on the island
WAR IS HELL ...thanks ATL
Great show thanks for sharing
Remarkable film!
I never knew Ardal O'Hanlan was a Monaghan man. Carrickmacross man as well, Which is about an hours drive from my old home town. Well i never.
His father Rory was a TD for FF.
@@Saywhatnow-o3w cheers for that mate. I think Dougal is one of the great comic creations. That startled look is just enough to get me laughing like a drain.
And sadly it looks like it's going to happen again as this Irish government ignore the Irish people.
Vote NO.
The man in the trilby had it spot on!
They really need to learn how many counties there are in Ulster .
They do, so many videos here say the border divides Ulster from the rest of Ireland. In reality it divides Ulster from Ulster except for short enough stretches of Leitrim and Louth.
Leitrim isn't in Ulster lol
@@jackietreehorn5561 of course its not, neither is Louth but they are the only border counties that are not in Ulster. Hence the vast majority of the border divides Ulster from the rest of Ulster.
@@johnbrennan7764 I hear you
Aye they said Donegal was in the south 😂
damn, this is powerful stuff.
The Only Border I can see is The Irish Sea, the line dividing the North East Six Counties is a British Partition.
Ireland all the way 💪
Everyone involved in the Coshquin job was lifted including Martin McGuinness's brother about 11 people....informer at work somewhere....was it the fisherman?
I read that british intelligence were behind that whole idea. Provos had never done proxy bombing before. I even remember at the time it was super weird. For hours after it went off there was no choppers up, no sirens, nothing.
There was never any convictions. And in the South Down proxy bomb the hostage was told not to open the door, the detonator was rigged to the door light. The Omagh proxy never went off at all.
The gardai arrested Willie Mc Guinness and he ended up winning damages against the Irish government for unconstitutional detention.
I think Finn says more than his prayers
Ireland stands with Palestine.
Ireland should be one; there is enough regional and local politics to look after people’s sectarian interests without dividing populations. Both sides interests are basically the same they are being used by big politics for power reasons. Take away that power and there will be compromise.
Yet another Sinn Fein/IRA propaganda film
Ó. M. D I'm going mad for missing the live
Many did it seems it was a quiet live chat @Mo6278
Fintan O'Toole the westbrit.
Can’t stand a word that comes out of that man’s mouth
Correct me if I’m wrong but he was/is an employee of the “Irish” Independent

I think thers more important problems these days...tha can come later
❤
You should both concentrate on the important thing that you have in common.. Christ the son of God.. forget about the Pope and forget about the religion the Brits created so Henry viii could have another bride.
Look on any map or Atlas and you will see that there is still a border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and long may it continue, the Loyal British people of Ulster have fought bravely and withstood everything that was thrown at them and claimed victory as Northern Ireland remains part of the United Kingdom. QS.
@utku0000 Never.
Then why if you think of them as different countries and foreign to your culture you celebrate a battle that happened in county Louth? I know why you don't celebrate it down there because wouldn't be welcome to say the least
@@jackietreehorn5561 Read some history before posting a question like that .
You may be loyal to them but they aren't loyal to you.
@@jackietreehorn5561 Boyne reference? I like your style Jackie…👌
Ole paddy G still tearing up the liquerish road on his peddle'N'pop at 102 without a helmet insight, only a gud ole strong warm country flatcap is all thats needed...anyhow how come he dos'nt have to wear one, is it optional dewn sewf or something?..
Using extreme and false terminology like "Ulster" and "British province" shows how dated this propaganda is. They weren't even trying back then. I'm guessing it was intended for an ignorant English audience who would have known no better.
@@Vvv-1690 Because Ulster has nine counties and can't be used as a synonym for northern Ireland. Secondly, northern Ireland isn't a province. Call it a region or even a country, but it's not a province.
@@seanquinn4540 I would say this is a problem of journalistic and editorial laziness rather than propaganda.
Yes because it is Ireland. He is correct NI is not Ulster as part is within the south unless you are referring to all 9 counties. NI should be referred to as a statlet nothing more.
I don't see where he said anything about Ireland? I would say though in political terms the south is also a statlet. As some would call "free state".
@@jackietreehorn5561 Many view it as such be they nationalists or unionists. I myself do not consider the south as a republic and would see it as a "free state"
Great documentary
