Im not sure where the guy interveiwed is from but Taika Waititi, was born at Raukokore about 5 or 10kms from Waihau Bay

50 litres per hour at 20-25 knots (let’s average at 22,5) gives about 2 litre per mile. That’s quite thirsty!
My mate bought exactly the same boat with a 300hp Yamaha - it's more like 36-40l at 20-25kts
