When I was growing up, I was mocked by my father whenever I acted like a girl, "you just think that because you're a girl" and laughing about it. If I got emotional and cried, he would accuse me of doing it on purpose to manipulate, and say "You're just like your mother!" I wanted his respect, and the only way to get It was to act like a man. I'm in my 30s and just now embracing my femininity. It's really difficult.

Same sweetheart. My father would do the same and spoil my brothers and tend to restraint me, just to make sure I won’t be the “type of women@ he hates, a woman who’s asking for gifts, or attention. He would tell me not to talk, he would humiliate me in front of people. I’m 33, have put boundaries and distance with him. Best move I’ve ever made. Focus on what makes you happy. And most of all: what people say, or the way they act usually tell more about them than it does about you. ❤ i send you my energy, you’ll heal.

SAME! I grew up with five older brothers and also went to school in a very toxic and backwards area, and anything remotely feminine (i.e. every topic/hobby I liked and was interested in) was mocked and ridiculed. My mom was mentally checked out and I had no positive female role models, so that didn't help either. I'm so thankful for the internet and being able to find channels and content like this. It feels like a big mental hug.

How we can increase our feminine energy:
    1. Have a creative outlet
    Dancing, cooking, drawing
    2. How can I soften, how can I be gentle, soften your voice, relax,
    3. Get yourself organized for the week
    (Tidy up your house, )
    4. Intuitive movement (yoga, stretching, dancing, go for a walk)
    5. Feel your feelings (awareness)
    6. Get outside every day (get fresh air, be in Nature)
    7. Make time for play (laugh, play board games) don't take life too serious
    8. Stop spending time with things you dislike ( for example hobby, if you don't like yoga, don't do it

Nothing takes me out of my feminine energy faster than someone trying to pull something over on me. When I get angry, I am full on masculine. So, it seems that, for me, staying in feminine energy has a lot to do with setting up boundaries against toxic people.

    • @JillzGuerin

That makes sense since it’s almost impossible to stay in our feminine when we feel unsafe. Good on you for creating boundaries! ❤️

@@AudreySeyboldYes, I am so very tired of squashing my feminine, but there are so very few safe men out there that, more often than not, it has to be done. And the men seem utterly clueless as to what it takes to connect with a high quality woman. They seem to want the woman to meet all their criteria, while being oblivious as to what they need to work on themselves. Even things as simple to improve as their appearance, or their manners, go neglected.

What I've noticed is that if you're a feminine/empathic woman then alot of times wimpy, toxic, narcissistic 'men' are attracted to you and want to control you because it makes them feel more of a man, even though they are poor excuses for men.Tell them you disagree with something they say or tell them 'no' so they don't think you're a pushover and look up Narcissistic abuse channels on UA-cam.Run from any man you have a bad feeling about. I don't want any woman to go through what I've been through.

My mum was a super feminine (gentle, caring, creative) person, but sadly she was a victim of domestic violence all through my childhood and ended up with health issues and passed away at 60.
I think this made me fear femininity, I am 42 now and so competitive and dominant I’m not even sure I can change now. These qualities have been consistently rewarded/affirmed in my career too.
This advice feels SO alien to me, but I’m still going to try. I envy women who are just comfortable in their femininity, they always seem so contented and relaxed. Good luck to everyone going on this journey

@CL I am sure that your intuition is absolutely right. Unfortunately, in very few cases is the magnetic female energy accepted in the male-dominated world. It is interpreted as weak, not rational and available, which in all cases has no positive outcome. It is a pity but the patriarchy unfortunately still works like that.

@@JillzGuerin There's a problem with your Number 3. You contradict yourself because you're trying to NOT tell women that the masculine balance should be the men. It sounds fake to teach women to practice Femininity alone which is practically either impossible or useless. Like you said, Feminine Energy needs the Masculine to be balanced. Teach your viewers to get masculine men like myself that brings out the best of their Feminine. Good luck

My mother has been in her masculine energy since I was born because she had no choice and takes pride in being financially wealthy. She supports me and my husband and children financially in this economy so I can stay home and raise my kids but she judges my light feminine energy and the things I value. She rolls her eyes and scoffs at videos like this and it always makes me think of the Little Women quote that is something like “Just because my dreams are different then yours, doesn’t make them unimportant.” It is hard to stay soft and feminine though when I feel she goes out of her way to upset me or pull me into my masculine energy.

This video was illuminating to me, because it showed me how feminine my husband is, even though he is outwardly appearing as very masculine. He is athletic, muscular, and very handy. But he is also an artist, doesn’t like making plans, and relies on me a lot for planning. I am a Capricorn, so I am very grounded, pragmatic, and I am a planner. I think that because I am a planner, things get done, and it kind of drives My Husband, crazy, because it is very different to how he lives.

I am thinking back in my life and for my entire life, I have mostly used my masculine energy (Whenever I would show my more sensitive side, I was often bullied for it and called a crybaby) and I come from a family of strong/tough women (my maternal grandmother, my mom, my sisters and now my two nieces). As a teenager, guys didn’t want to be around me because I was too clingy, I came on too strong and I did most of the chasing around. At work, I have started to go into my more feminine side (A lot of older people say that being a teacher is a woman’s job and they also say that being a classical musician especially one that plays an instrument is more a man’s job ) but I have three male colleagues who have a lot of respect for me because they see that I know what I’m talking about and I thank those colleagues for treating me like an equal.🥰❤️

Lovely video as always! I’m wondering if you would do a video in more detail about the luteal/menstruation phase - how to deal with PMS, hormone imbalance advice, general tips on how to look after ourselves as we want to retreat inwards and can have low mood, and also how this phase is used ‘against us’ as women - too emotional etc. but also how this can actually be a time where if we honour it properly we are intuitive, ‘focused’, deeply reflective, not feeling a need to ‘do’ all the time. So in a way we can see it as an inward retreat into the ‘dark feminine’ :)) Xx

thanks for these advices, I guess all other video creators always link feminity with being sassy and money related issues. I guess in this era being feminine should be put apart from money receiving because as much as you let someone pay for you, you let them see you as property that they can buy with a purse or meal. However, receiving is good especially if someone show their love through acts of service❤

Not doing things I dislike is a big one for me and my husband wholeheartedly supports this. None of us likes to cook so we pay for meal deliveries. Same with cleaning the house -- we get someone to come do the heavier cleaning every few weeks and it becomes easier to maintain in the meantime. For us, spending that money is so worth it because we can spend our time doing other things that we find more valuable and/or enjoyable. And it makes me feel less resentful too, if I'm being honest, because I don't think it's a woman's job to have to do everything around the house -- even if the man works more (which my husband does).

Dear Jillz, I am amazed that you have created a channel about feminine energy...there is a lot about self improvement ,selfcare and so on but for women to be reminded of the power of our feminine energy ( as a soft skill almost that's so underrated) is amazing!
Intuitively I always long for time in nature , gentle daily structures to allow time for creativity and calmness. It made me aware of how this is connected to femininity. ( Used to think that's more about beauty, seduction and so on) there is a whole lot more to it and it makes sense and feels good ! Due to overemphasis on masculine energy and belittling femininity,I 'm guessing a lot of issues in society came up as well...
It's definitely a fascinating subject.( Having 3 daughters ,I 'm glad you reminded us in a beautiful way of the return to more balance) * bless you and thanks :)

I'm a young single man who really loves females and there feminine energy and smiling at me in public very beautiful with them selfs and to me makes me smile too! And your video inspires my most favorite energy! To be like a true female is to have and do and say and feel loved and beautiful without relying on someone to tell you unless they see you shine! And I can too no matter my sex is. It makes me wanna be around females and there energy of fun and laughter! I can can be a female too! 🥰 because females to me is like im in heaven vs males are like being in he'll 😅so you can say I'm transgender but straight 😁👍

I'm 5'7, which is tall for girls in my country and i have broad shoulders, so growing up i was ashamed of myself and had this mindset that if im so ugly and fat i shouldnt act like a girl since everyone will be grossed out by me, so i started to act manly, and pretended that i had a idgaf attitude, always acting really masculine around my friends, stopped socialising since it would crush me if anyone called me fat or ugly (mostly every guy i talked to called me that so yeah :">) mind you i was like 10 or 11.
Im 18 now, im a bit more confident than before but still talk loudly and act manly (i really dont want to), but now im trying to embrace my feminine energy cuz my height and broad shoulders dont define who i am :)

Jillz, 1 really intriguing question for you.. How do you view the females who dominated the war field eg : Ruby Bradley, Queen of Jhansi... They dont appear to me 'soft' at all... were they too much in their masculine ?? Or were they well balanced.. Looking at this grt women in masculine fields really intrigues me...and it completely shatters my understanding of masculine / feminine energies

    • @JillzGuerin
      @JillzGuerin  2 роки тому +1

I would say that these females are more in touch with their masculine but that’s not a bad thing. They seem to be also be more connected to their “dark” feminine energy (I have a video on this if you want to learn more about that). But they may have been very feminine in other areas of their life. Just like sometimes women need to step into their masculine energy more for certain careers (ex: corporate finance, police officer) and some men need to tap more into their feminine energy for certain careers (ex: artist, therapist). Hope that was helpful! ❤️

i feel more connected with my feminity when I am with another women... my crazy friends bring me again to my female perspective of life, they are just great... however when they start a family they forget about themselves and their friends which is not good at all. I just dont know if it is sth that women have learnt (forgetting themselves) or the way nurturing feels...
