Amazon put a major dent in the brick and mortar retail industry. Then during Covid Amazon destroyed the walk in retail industry as people got used to ordering everything from toilet paper to TV's online. The only survivors are places like Home Depot, jewelry/watch stores and clothing stores and other high end shops that sell designer stuff like Coach, LV, etc. For consumer goods it's hard to beat Amazon delivery, sometimes the same day. I needed a printer as my office printer crapped out one evening. I get on Amazon and the new one is at my door at 9am the next morning.
