Among the most grotesque stop-motion animation ever committed to film, but the creature walking around the barn is nothing short of extraordinary. Peace.

As a kid you couldn't wait to see these movies black and white the times I saw them . Just kick back and watch.

WOW... I haven't seen this movie in a VERY LONG time!!! I particularly remember the scene when the dinosaur picks up the unlucky bull.

Edward Nassour, the director, also did most of the stop motion. They also used model replacement in a few scenes. First giant monster film in color.

The parts where the monster is running is very well done.

I still can't believe this movie only had four minutes of the beast in the entire film.

I always thought it was funny that they decided to give the Allosaurus a Gene Simmons tongue.

As cheesy as this design for the T. Rex is, I like the fangs and that goofy tongue, LOL

Bonus Comment: I can’t help but notice that there are & were 2 different versions of the Stop Motion Creature. 1:38-1:42 This is the one that 1st appeared in some closeups. 1:58-2:06 This other one looks a little bit different, probably the head shape & body prepositions from the other Stop Motion puppet looks much more like a typical Dinosaur like a T.Rex. 4:07 This sequence is quite impressive where it removes the knife from its snout.

The roar sounds familiar to the sauropod from King Kong 1933

Honestly, I think the dinosaur looks fine enough, perhaps it's because I had lower expectations going into this movie, and this video saved me from watching the rest of the film.

This came out in August in 1956. Just after The Animal World came out a few months earlier that same year.

When his feet appear on the screen they kinda look like that they belong to a suit with a man in it.

BFHM this movie makes the audience wait so long a time for the very first appearance of the dinosaur on screen, that you might get up and demand a ticket refund thinking you bought the wrong movie admission
