Love today's adventure have been to this location a number of times. So much to see, and what a collection of vintage items. Fantastic place and tile designs and colors were incredible.
Also, the collection of fireplaces back plates were incredible. Hope you got to go inside. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure today. Marc

Your videos are gaining nicely in popularity and happy to see you have so many subscribers! To me this castle looks spooky like most and probably haunted. If Disney World ever moved to Pennsylvania, they would have a head start on their haunted castle! Nice video, always interesting what you find. ....Daniel

Hi Daniel! I’m thrilled to see the channel growing!
You’re right-this castle definitely has that spooky, haunted vibe. If Disney ever made their way to Pennsylvania, this place could be the perfect as a Haunted Kingdom! Glad you enjoyed the video; there’s always something fascinating to uncover. Thanks for your continued support and kind words-it really means a lot!

Interesting place. I have heard of it but never visited. I’d be interested in the tour. But it also looks like a good place to meander around a lil and explore. Thanks for the look-see.

Yes, it really is a beautiful place to wander around!
I would have taken the tour if it weren't for not being allowed to take video. I'll go back one day and maybe visit the Mercer Museum as well.

Really enjoyed this video. I’ve toured both the castle and the tile works. If you ever get the time, well worth it. The castle and all its rooms are very interesting. They don’t allow cameras in the castle due to his extensive collection of books that are worth big bucks.

Congratulations on hitting 1K. That's great! The castle and tile works were both really unique looking buildings and I liked all the details you pointed out. Also very pretty grounds and loved the trees lining the driveway.

      Hi Lovie
Prior to the pandemic, I always felt as though I had to fly somewhere to enjoy sights and nature. Being from Philadelphia, I had no idea how beautiful our state is. Thank you for watching!

The rings on the post are to tie up your horse, and I think October 26th is their annual pumpkin festival, they set up a bunch of tents and displays.

    • @jennsylvania1633
      @jennsylvania1633  6 днів тому +1

      Hiya Jill!
yeah, that makes sense. I remember seeing a lot of rings like that on concrete posts in Philadelphia, most likely for the same reason.
      Thank you!

I just looked up Bishop's Castle. Very cool! If I ever get back to Colorado, I'm going to visit.
Oh yeah, people had huge properties back in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Thank you for watching, my friend!

I'm sure it is on your list but the Mercer Museum in Doylestown is another work of Henry Mercer that should not be missed!! It is essentially his collection of "tools" as conceived by an archeologist of the 1700-1800s.

      Hi Greg,
Absolutely! I’m definitely planning to check out the Mercer Museum. I’ve heard so many great things about it. I’m not sure if filming inside is allowed-probably not-but the exterior is fascinating too.
They also currently have an exhibit on the Doan Gang that I’m really excited to check out.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment-much appreciated!
