As a fellow minority, I must compliment you on doing you. Personally, I’m into boots and have been for years but more into the western inspired Saint Laurent boots, etc...I tell people that might snicker that there’s more to life than wearing Jordan’s and Yeezy’s. Nothing wrong with it but one shouldn’t look down on others comfort levels. Love hearing about your story but, more than anything, love seeing someone being comfortable in his own skin. Mad respect for all you do and for wearing those boots with pride. #bootlife

You and I could not be more different taste-wise. I've never been into cowboy fashion or fashion period for that matter, I don't care for jewelry, I don't like country music that much, I don't own boots or a cowboy hat and would never buy one. About the only things we have in common are we're both Army veterans and we both like a good glass of whiskey now and again. However, you're passionate, you have your own style and identity, you do your own thing regardless of what others think or say, and you bring nothing but positivity to your platforms, and those are things I can get behind. That's why I subscribed and watch your videos. It's not even my thing, but as someone who applauds positivity and as a brother veteran I want you to know, you have my support. Keep doing what you're doing.

For full transparency, and to make it clear overall, we can summarize it in a few points.
    1. Your grandmother seeded your initial income.
    2. You took that and were able to add to it by having less than the average overhead.
    3. You went to the military which also allowed you to have less restricted income and helps you qualify for more credit. (more likely to be approved for loans, GI Bill, credit cards, etc.)
    4. Living abroad while in the military comes with more financial bonuses.
    5. Going out on a limb with this one, but not having any dependents helps A LOT.
    6. THEN, using all of that you were able to focus more time on your passion and gain recognition because you had more time to devote.
Not at all an attempt to try to discredit your path just trying to help people who are watching better understand your process. It's important to be transparent in an effort to raise awareness that not everyone has that initial boost not even mentioning the other positive factors along the way.
Keep shining and sharing your knowledge with others.

I think you’re close but I’ll correct you on a few things my grandmother lost everything after I graduated high school long story short I lost everything and had nothing but the manners she raised me with and the ability to dress well. So I was able to get a job in green houses and a job selling cars pretty easily but it didn’t give me the life style I wanted or was used to. So I joined the army
There was no real benefit to that. I never used a GI bill or any insensitives to get a credit card but I did make smart decision with my money and re invest it into my self or hobby’s like building atvs and selling them. So my hobby’s made me money. Getting approved for loans is as easy as you paying your bills and being smart with your money I wouldn’t try to convince people joint the military is going to help you make smart decisions with money cause AlOT of people still fail to succeed financially in the army but being over seas is provide me with more opportunities to save and to think and build plans to progress toward my passions and definitely no dependent no body should be trying to procreate with out being about to take care of them selves first

And neither was my food. It’s not “traveling” it’s deployments and duty locations it’s not being able to see your family or friends for 9 months to a year, sometimes longer, sometimes you can’t even talk to them for that time you have to write them a letter, sometimes scared youll never see them again all For mediocre money start out at 2000 a month and most people get out as e4 making 3000 month. don’t believe everything you see on tv there’s way more opportunity as a civilian and way better paying jobs yes if you don’t have a plan and don’t know how to apply your self the military can teach you all about that hard work and discipline but it ain’t no dang big leg up in the world half the time they treat these soldiers terribly for all that they go through and all that they sacrifice I recommend it to anybody but it’s like anything else buddy you have to apply your self and save your money if you want anything they don’t just give you anything lll. I appreciate you making this video and being honest about yourself, particularly about your grandmother. You were not SPOILED - that word gets misconstrued all the time. If you turned out to be a punk who thinks they're entitled as a result of how you were raised, then that is spoiled. You're not.
Essentially, you knew that regular 'work' (9 to 5) was not what you wanted, you searched your inner-self and realized there were some things that you really, REALLY liked, and you found a way to earn some money sharing something unique - cowboy fashion. I mean, seriously, other than the magazine Cowboys & Indians, I've not seen anything focused on 'cowboy fashion', until your channel. You swirled around for a while, came to the realization that cowboy fashion was something you had been 'doing' for years and years and you settled on that.
You could not have done that 20 years ago, probably not even 10 years ago, but there are so many platforms out there for you to share what you really enjoy, dare I say 'love', but you figured it out. I applaud you for realizing that you had to do SOMETHING, but you also knew that you did not want to be sitting in some office, or selling cars for your whole life.
Well done, and keep at it.
I think you could do this over with some cue cards/script, notes and make it more useful to those who are searching. Yes, it takes passion, but it really takes a searchlight into your heart and soul, if one has the gumption to actually do the work - THE GRIND. Keep gettin' after it, and thanks again for sharing.

I also joined the military and was sent to Italy . I was the ONLY PERSON I ever saw in Italy that wore wranglers, boots, and my cowboy hat I brought from home! I was laughed at, the butt of jokes and took the brunt of many people! Stuck out like a sore thumb, but I wasn’t/ and am not to this day, changing who I really am for anyone!

I'm successful because I have what I need.
I grew up severely poor with mice, rats, roaches, ants, etc. I learned all aspects of construction and masonry. Since I have remodeling knowledge I can never live that poor again. Its impossible because I can make anything nice.
Now I flip homes for a living and have a few Air B&B's. Carrie Underwood is staying in one of them right now while on tour.
I'm not a fan of country music so I don't know anything about her. I like and write indie rock folk music.

Exposure to those nice things while young meant you realized there was a better world out there you could access, it probably made it feel more achievable. I think some people are never exposed to it so they have a fixed mindset about it being possible. I think exposure to affluence and being comfortable around affluent people makes it all just FEEL more achievable, I think it made a big difference to your life. So the recondition there is, don't be afraid to hang out with people who are doing much better then you are financially and learn how they live and what that looks like. I have found when I had nice things and I hung out with people who didn't they occasionally and a very closed mindset about how possible it was to have. I once argued with a "poor" girl I was friends with, about how much a brand new Honda civic cost. I was telling her (this was a long time ago) you could get one without heating and AC so the price was lower on those and it was feasible. She felt a Honda civic was totally out of reach. It was a fixed mindset about it being possible. You also had ASSETS to sell, so those cars you sold funded your beginning. But you were smart to leverage those items vs keeping them or wrecking them. Sometimes people who inherit those nice things, trash them.

Being passionate is awesome and I totally get why someone would excel at something they are passionate about, and if that's you and you're doing something you're passionate about heck yeah! Moreover, I get it too and maybe for the majority, most, alot, of people that's what they need to stick with something when times get hard and they don't feel like it, keep going, keep working because they are passionate.
However, for me personally, and I think others as well, if it pays enough I can tell passion to go park some where and wait:) HA! I guess it depends on where one's at in life and their goals and what drives them. Me, money, money, money, and I bet it's because I've never had real money:)
