Very very nice setup! Gotta love the Federal Signals & that First Generation QuickAlert! Rexy has the same type of 4903-9419! The 4903-9252, 9253 and 9254 are also cool because they are retrofit signals that can be found on older Systems using 4903s.

I've always wanted to know, does the quickalert sound like a regular smartsync truealert, a free-run truealert, or does it sound unique?
    And MY GOSH that's a low-pitched vibratone!!!
Last thing, I actually got to interview a Johnson Controls employee for a carreer project and he told me that the 4010 classic is by far the most common simplex panel in the wild. Can't say I'm surprised, but still cool to know!

QuickAlerts sound the same as the TrueAlerts. The SmartSync QuickAlerts sound like the SmartSync TrueAlerts. The Free Run QuickAlerts sound the same as the Free Run TrueAlerts.

@@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554 Thanks! If they have the same horns, what's the difference besides the unique grill on just some quickalerts?

The legacy 4010 was replaced by the 4010ES.

It wasn’t, the 4007 replaced the 4010. The 4010ES was made as a smaller version of the 4100ES, hence the no voice.

@@trainknightt I don't get why Simplex needed a smaller version of the 4100ES. The 4100ES is a very customisable system. I always thought the 4007ES was the replacement for the 4005 and the 4008.

It's complicated. The 4007ES replaced the 4008 which replaced the original 4010, and the 4006 (which is still made) replaced the 4004. I guess simplex wanted all addressable panels to be under the ES line so the 4007ES took the place of the 4008 as the smallest addressable panel, but it also might've replaced the 4005 in functionality as a panel meant for small-to-midsize applications. The 4010ES more resembles the 4100ES in both operation and function, as it is meant for mid-to-large size applications while the 4100ES is more suited for large to campus-size installations. The 4007ES probably sits between the 4006 and 4010ES within this hierarchy as it's larger and more capable than a 5-zone conventional panel but doesn't carry the capacity to be suited for anything larger than the classic 4010 could handle.

@@MichanaAlerting The 4006 was actually discontinued in April, the new Simplex Foundation series panels will replace the 4006.
