One last thing, have you thought about the Fire Lite MS-5UD/MS-10UD when designating a good easy-to-program yet advanced panel? I think they're actually a little bit easier to use in exchange for being a slightly less robust panel
Yes, I do find the MS-5/10UD to be very capable conventional fire alarm panels. With built-in sync, zone programming (supervisory, etc.), and filtered DC on the MS-10UD; these panels are a step up from the MS2/4 and are great as a starter panel.
