Hi Tiago, don't know where to write you. Do you have an email or Instagram? Look, wanna give you a tip, why don't you hunt the m87 jet in your EAA session? I certainly did with my dob. I can recommend you to do.
You can get back focused with a 55 mm, corrector and the zwo. The sensor that sits 6.5 mm behind needs to be 55 mm away from the front of the coma corrector. Just get an adapter or a set of them. It just needs to be 48.5 mm in length.
Hi Tiago, what spaces have you got with your 294, with your reducer and coma corrector. I thought the distance from the Baader coma is 56.5/58.5. It’s looks like from your video is only 6.5 ccd/ 15mm spacers and 18 reducer. Which only calculates at 39.5. Does this setup works fine with reducer and coma?
The baader MPCC is to use at that distance and without any reducer. When i added a cheap reducer to it i was doing something we were not supposed to do. Therefore, all the official distances had no meaning anymore. In the particular situation of the video it worked like that with the 8" and it may also work for you but at the end, to have to change things all the time is a cumbersome for me. I like to have each imaging train built in a easy way to change between telescopes. I ended up not using the Baader anymore and simply using the cheap focal reducer near the sensor to interchange between the 8" and 6" telescope without effort. If i was not clear explaining this please tell me and i can show it better in a live stream.
Hi Tiago, Can the Nexus also be used for visual? I'm looking for a coma corrector for my 18" F4 Dobsonian for visual use but would also like to connect my DSLR occasionally to take photos.
yes, you can use it for both but remember it will turn the FOV larger to the eyepiece, the opposite of a barlow effect. If it's just for coma you have the Baader MPCC ua-cam.com/video/TOywVLWvmOs/v-deo.html
I m a total noob and I just got my Orion XT-8 Dobsonian! I m super happy with it! Quick question please : Is there any way to CONNECT my FujiFilm XT4 camera to my Orion XT8 Dobsonian for astrophotography ? What do I need to make these two wonderful creations to come together ? 🙂🤔😌 Thank you Sir. !
Congrats for the Dob. However i don't use any DSLR camera. My knowledge is around dedicated astro cameras like ZWO. I'm sure you can use it but I'm not the right person to help you in that. Find a way to make it work and i can help you doing EAA, watching the sky with it.
Hello Tiago, without making any modifications to my 12-inch dobsonian telescope, can I simply attach a coma corrector to a focal reducer (as shown in your video) to my cooled ZWO 294 to increase the field of view and eliminate the distorted stars? Your video claims it will work with the 8-inch dobsonian, how about the 12-inch dobsonian. I can't get the 55 mm back focus using the Starizona Nexus, and I really don't want to modify the scope. Let me know. Thanks Ernest
@@DobsonianPower I found your video on "Moving the Primary Mirror To Get Back Focus". I can do that, it doesn't appear to be very difficult. Thank You so much Tiago. I'll let you know how it went once I make the change. Your programs are AWSOME. Keep up the good work. God Bless You Ernest👍
@Ernest Moran ah. I thought you knew about it. I also did a recent one with the 8" you should watch to make you feel even more confident ua-cam.com/video/-Q40YdrAHfc/v-deo.html
using such a magnification with poor tracking and then, zoom the image it's a natural result. Of course when you see large field images you will not notice any defects and everything is hided. A Lion has a defect in the eye. At the distance you don't notice it but if it's in front of your face you will. Simple as that.
You're not new here and that's why i'm spending my time responding to that. I immediately ban anyone that criticize my english. Apart from the work and time i put in my videos i have the additional language obstacle. Some recognize that value in me and move on, others don't and get banned. I'm not perfect and i'm learning everyday. I placed it in the translator and i can see the difference between those words. I've learned but you may also learn that nobody should publicly make jokes with other people spoken issues, maybe one day life place you in similar situations. If you want to help and correct a mistake, do it privately, sending an email as my good friends do. If you care for someone, place bridges, not rocks on the way. Take care.

Unfortunately that's not possible with the starizona nexus because of its ring stop and length. It is possible with a baader mpcc for instance.
Hoping to try this new technique. Thank you very for sharing.

With my 12" for both situations i had to move the mirror. It was the only way.
@@DobsonianPower Is the mirror the only thing I need to move? What about the focuser, does that need to be changed to a low profile focuser as well?
@@ernestmoran528 no. Only the mirror. It's very easy and harmless to do

Doesn't the 0.75 Nexus make your arcsec/pixel 0.85 which is undersampling? Wouldn't the 0.5 focal reducer be better at 1.27 arcsec/pixel?
The nexus gives you a full perfect image. The 0.5x cheap reducer doesn't.
Thank you sir.
