Been watching again. If you know these chaps please tell them they have the best Jam sound I've heard and it would be lovely to hear them do more Jam covers. And thank you for posting this video.
Hi 👋 im viewing from New Zealand. I was 17 in 1977 , so I got into the punk rock sound of that year. The Jam i liked alot , but the Damned were my favorite British Punk group.
Superb job lads, vocals and playing top notch. Saw The Jam a half a dozen times in 78/79 and seen a few tributes over the years. This is the best I've heard
Foxton is a top top bass player and these bass lines are tricky enough without having to harmonise as well. Great sound, takes me back to those golden days. 👍
Absolutely NAILED IT! So great to see this. The vocals are so friggin' fantastic! Been a Jam fan for over four decades and the only thing that needs a boot in the pants here is the crowd.
Lost count of the times I've seen The Jam, they were more than the classic songs ans albums, it was the style, your hair, the whole look, the way you carried yourself. They mattered more than just the music, they were our religion, and second place wouldn't do. I saw them between Mod Cons to the final gigs at Wembley, didn't do Brighton which was by accounts not good. But every gig I saw NOBODY beat them then or now. Think these guys saw them to get the Fire and Skill, the pure intensity. Well done lads 🔥👍
Great Job guys. I’ve never seen anyone play Strange Town live, my favourite Jam song, presumably because it’s a hard one to recreate. You more than did it justice.
ua-cam.com/video/MceojtOau70/v-deo.html - - Only real problems i have is playing that bloody Rickenbacker - I'm too used to playing my Les Paul so I always struggle with it, missing little notes here and there cos of the ultra thin neck
I remember walking into a record shop in the 70's, and 'This Is The Modern World' by The Jam was blaring out on the sound system..I was transfixed by it! Excellent tribute!
@@finisher1965 Fair play to you. To choose Modern World in a once a year set is pretty cool. How many songs do you do ? Got another example of one of the tunes you played ?
@@reduxmod9178 We play In the City, followed by Modern World. Our set has 21 songs. Other bands include The Clash, Ramones, Teenage Head, The Tubes, and Social Distortion. 1.5 hour set, not bad for a crew ranging in age from 59-62. Once per year last several years, next year will be our 20th anniversary. Started in 2005 for an 8 song 50th birthday bash and still going.
I've got a 1978 Rickenbacker 360 in Sunburst, a 1970 Rickenbacker 4001 ( single pickup)in Jetglo and a 1995 Rickenbacker 4003 in Jetglo. Love playing them. Please post some more of this - it reminds me of my formative years.
Thought it was going to go into London Traffic then after modern world....Love it, fans of the day and still enjoying it and that counts for something surely, keep it up boys.
I am the same vintage and saw The Jam and this is good. How about 'Tonight at Noon' from the same album but would need different skills? Keep it up lads!
This is Brilliant ! But there is no doubt that 'THE JAM ' were MORE 'pUnK' than MOD, in 1977 to 1979 ! Had it not been for 'The pUnK revolution ' of 1976/7 and onwards The Jam would never have had such a successful career as they did! And neither would 'Paul Weller, Style Council, SOLO etc dx
absolutely spot on - I saw the jam on the Marc show in 1977 and always felt they were part of the punk scene - they played all the venues that the punks were playing they were on the White Riot Tour - they were punks until Quadrophenia came out and suddenly everyone was calling them mod
As someone old enough to have seen the Jam back in the day, this is a damn good sound!
Heh. I misread the title and thought 'this bald geez looks more like me ... wait a minute '
Great sound, dedication.
I saw the jam 21 times. These guys have the vibe
Omg I am back in Pompey guildhall 1987!!!
Old-school rocking out in the corner of a pub - enjoyed this!
As a massive Jam fan since 1978 I have to say that you guys sound amazing. You've got to come to South Wales lads!
Absolutely spot on, very true sound to the original recordings 🤘🏻
Two Rics, good amps and a good drummer, good voices.... as good as it gets outside of the originals... Excellent.

The Jam were a classic band and these guys are excellent, sounds brilliant.

Wow! This stuff is hard to duplicate. Incredible!
Those men nailed The Jam's sound.
Saw the jam several times...this is excellent
Great work - excellent blazers too
Saw The Jam twice in Canada. Never too old for Mod!

Top notch stuff. Brilliant impression.
I'm an old patchouli rocker, DC and Zep etc. These are bloody outstanding!!!!!

Holy crap. I love the jam, love, love, love The Jam. This kicks ass
So much respect for these guys who keep the Jam sound alive!! Thanks so much!!
Excellent! I’d pay to see these guys 👏🏻

Nice job lads..!
You guys really did these songs justice! Well done 👏
one of the very few The Jam tribute bands that I have listened to all the way through.
really great sound.......top job!
Loving these covers guys 🎸🇬🇧

My old band used to play Strange Town for years. Always found Going Underground the hardest to play live and sound right

Great job lads!! Really enjoyed that. Greeting from the Emerald Aisle.
Best cover of this song ever!!
Very good, guys! All the best from a Jam fan in Amsterdam.
And I like the fact that the drummer makes a mistake in Modern World :)
well spotted - he wasn't happy ha ha
It's Live, wasn't a mistake, just his Live version. Would be shit if it sounded like the police... Every Gig, Every. Single. Time.
Great sound chaps
Sound great. Love The Jam ❤ if you are playing in East Anglia let me know 🛵❤️😎
This kicks. Love it.

Fucking brilliant lads 👍
Singer reminds me of those Wobblehead dogs people put in the rear windows of their cars in the 1970s.To go with the furry dice in the front.
Epic!!!! From a 58 year old American living in Manila. Where is the mosh pit?
I'd go see them. Where's Sunderland?
All the young MODs
Well done boys
