Don't forget to let me know what I should name that plant! Also, those purple flowers... I have no idea how to water those either. Should I like plant them?! Any advice is appreciated.
Looks like it's Pilea cadierei or "Aluminum plant". I Love the name "George"! ❤ 🪴 I have not had one, it says to water once or twice a week once the top layer of soil has dried out.
Name him Del Sol 😆 the Sun or Of the Sun not to be confused with The Son 🥰🙏🏽✝️ or El Agua, the water to remind you to water him/her ❤ Just a thought lol, I’m sure whatever you name him/her is gonna be grrrrreat!!!
Loved this video! Couldn’t just plant be some sort of peperomia? If the ridges are deep and tactile, that’s my guess! If it is, water once the leaves bend under pressure and no longer feel stiff.
I finally made the commitment to buy my first journaling Bible! I'm a teen whose been a Christian for a year and I'm just now learning how to study the Bible for myself. My dad is suuuuuper into Bible theology and history (he was a pastor for a few years!) and I recognized a lot of the resources you showed! I use them too (I love to raid his office hehehe). You've helped me a lot!
You will never read or study a better book! I am a 66 year old grandma, and I started my Bible reading in third grade, thanks to a wonderful SST. She inspired me to read the book of Esther. And from that point on I was hooked!
Hey Faith I work for a plant and produce shop. George is an Aluminum Plant. He can get 1 ft tall and spread out 8 inches. He is best indoors it is not warm enough in your area to plant outside. He is a perennial he thrives in bright, INDIRECT light ☀️. Water him every 3-5 days between spring and fall-attempting to keep the soil moist but not wet. The plant will not drink as much during periods of slow growth such as winter, during which you may need to shift the frequency of watering to a weekly to bi-weekly schedule, making sure to allow the upper 1/3 of soil in the pot to dry between watering 💦. That is all I can think of. If George gets to big for his pot send me a message and I can help you out
I have to tell you how really inspiring it is to me to see another woman who has and reads and studies and engages with these kinds of books. I have felt like an outlier for years, and this means a lot to me.
Don't forget, if you can't afford a resource, check with your local library. They can probably get it if they don't have it. Might take a few weeks for interlibrary loan, but it's worth a shot. P.S.... I need 2 rooms like this... one for my Bible stuff, one for my craft stuff.
Faith, my dear, you’re worried about nerding out…. Lol…. If you could only see our faces at getting a tour of your library and a close up look at your books! Lol We’re all taking screenshots and writing down the names and dreaming about filling up our own bookshelves! Lol 😂❤❤❤❤❤
1. The blue shirt makes your blue eye color pop soooo much more!! 💙 2. Thank you for always inspiring and encouraging me and for always causing me to get excited for Bible study. God bless you, my sister. ❤
You have the dream library!! It would be so easy to get lost in there for quite some time. .. That is a beautiful blessing . So many great resources all easy to see and use. Love this.
Regarding women in the church: I love the cultural aspect of studying scripture. There are SO many things that are easier to understand when we know the audience it was written for. Knowing that women’s education in the law was rudimentary at best, of course they couldn’t teach. Not the case now.
Love this! It’s really a library goal. I’ve like 3 bookshelves currently and they’re overflowing and messy. I’m thinking of finding a week to tidy it up and clear out some of the secular books in there I’ve collected back before I was saved. I love that you put the books according to OT and NT, it makes it really easy to grab a book and lets you know when there’s any book missing when you’re looking for it.
Such a blessing! 🙌🏻 Plant name - Samson. Because, if you don't have a green thumb that lil plant is gonna have to be a fighter. Lol What kind of plant is it?
I went to a Nancy Guthrie women's workshop. Really awesome. It was God's timing when I went to that. I had just finally started reading my Bible regularly, but then she was kind of my first exposure to theology. Then not long after, your channel was suggested and my study has been advanced so much. If I had seen Nancy a year earlier, I don't think I would have gotten as much out of it. If I hadn't been to that workshop, I wonder if I would have immediately understood the way you study and been able to apply those great study tactics for my own Bible time. Thank you to both of you women for all your hard work and spreading your knowledge of how to learn and grow closer to the LORD!
If you come to The Gospel Coalition for Women conference you can meet Nancy Guthrie. I’m sure you could arrange to do a podcast interview with her as well.
I can't typically afford resources, but I have been blessed with a lot from my local second-hand store. Also, I do get gift card for Christmas and birthdays for the bible bookstore and that has been a huge help. I've been blessed with a family that didn't raise me but is very supportive of me deepening my faith. Thank-you for sharing what works for you to give us ideas on where to start. I would have never even known about commentaries, bible dictionaries or bible atlases if it wasn't for you.
Love the library. I'm a bibliophile as well and have a very large library. I read a lot and even though I'm a Reformed Baptist Calvinist in my theology I enjoy reading people I may disagree with as well. There is always something we can glean from reading others.
Hello Faith, I am a new Christian and I appreciate this tour of your library. Would love to see recommendations for what would be most useful resources for a new Christian in a budget. BTW I love your channel ❤❤
Also, it's FREE to download a resource called e-sword on your device (mines on my laptop). It has many commentaries on it, Strongsville bible dictionary and the bible.i love paper commentaries, but this one is my favorite word, FREE:), and, because it's electronic, it's soooo fast:)
Super excited for your upcoming course on working with your kids! I have several of your courses and love all of them, and was hoping for something like this to help me with my littles. Thank you so much for all that you do! God bless!
I love Vernon McGee. They are actually written based on an audio radio series he did (Which is available from his kids on UA-cam. He reminds me of my grandma who passed last year (same generation) so listening to him every day to accompany my readings has been my favorite part of my day lately!
Looks wonderful, you did a great job organizing! Although I feel you may have another video in your future based on your reaction to your Women In Ministry section. Perhaps you could give us your opinion on this secondary issue? God Bless
I understand the waiting. The ESV Thompson Chain Reference updated version is coming out next month and I've waited since January to get it 🤣 That and a hard copy of the Webster's 1828 dictionary 😊
Oh I love bookshelf tours! Thank you for showing yours. I didn’t realize Nancy Guthrie has that series out so I just ordered it. Thank you. I love her so now I’ll be set for a while!
I feel so blessed to have come across your site. I’ve been a Christian for a long time and have longed to get back into personal Bible study. You’ve inspired me, given me some great ideas, and lit a fire under me. You said you wanted to be Nancy’s friend, well, I want to be your friend😂. You are such an inspiration and a breath of fresh air. I look forward to seeing your other content and following you on your journey as you encourage all of us to seek the Lord and what his word says.
I love seeing what other people are reading. Thanks to your videos I borrowed a bible dictionary from the library (didn't even know bible dictionaries were a thing)! I'm very new to all of this and I'd love to see a video showing what resources, ie Bible dictionary and bible atlas, you recommend and why. Also any other resources you'd recommend for someone who did not grow up in the church. Love your videos and thank you so much!
Thank you! I’m a book lover/seller and this video made me super happy. I put many things on my tbr. One thing to note; there’s always the library for physical, digital and audiobooks for those who can’t fit something in the budget. I have often times ordered books in from Christian universities. It’s pretty cool 😊
You name your plants, too? I had a swedish ivy I called Sven. Love your library. I'm having fun building mine. The Matthew Henry commentaries are awesome.
Absolutely amazing! This is the first time I am seeing a rich library neatly arranged as such. Thank you for sharing. I am inspired to have one. Blessings!
Love this! Could you maybe do a video about your favorite books for children and teens covering theology and other Christian topics? I’m always looking for beautiful, engaging books on those topics for my toddlers!
My library is half electronic and half print, and the print is spread over three areas because I don’t have a dedicated study. I envy you that big, bright desk and room!
I am slowly building my Bible Study Library. As i find resources I want to add to my library I set aside money each pay period until I have enough to purchase. My brother has bought me a few items for Christmas or birthday (if he hears me talking about something specific that I want). I have the best brother!
Wow, what a great review and tour of your biblical library! I have an extensive library myself but it’s largely unorganized. Your review and reflections motivate me to get busy and organize my library better. It’s so easy to buy books and just place them anywhere on the shelves. Thanks for taking the time to share your way of putting workable and practical order to things!
Hey Faith, I absolutely love these videos. I always add the books you mention to my Amazon cart list. The only possible exceptions being if you don't like them, though I usually check them out just in case.
Ezk 18:21 “But the wrong,a if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die
I have all of the J. Vernon McGee commentaries and love having them. They're also on BLB which makes them available for free to everyone. I love your organization of your miscellaneous volumes. Need to try that.
Girl! Wonderful timing! I am just before putting shelves up for all my Bibles, commentaries, books. In Nashville TN we have a small 1/2 price bookstore but, we have McKay’s. It has a big section of religious materials. I’m in the process of downsizing toward retirement so McKay’s is my “yard sale” so with in store credit I’m growing my collection of commentaries. I really enjoy Bible study. Oh, Krogers is a great place to get plants. Sorry I can’t help with the planet, green thumb I don’t got. 🫣 Thank you for this video!! 😊
Beautiful setup. Also, there are tons of resources on the internet. Even downloads so that you don't have to spend a lot of money or if you don't have a beautiful library like you do. Thank you for sharing.
Hi! For the Discipleship Days, maybe the book 'Religious Potential of the Child: Experiencing Scripture and Liturgy with Young Children' by Sofia Cavalletti could be helpful.
My dad has the whole set of the interpreters Bibles and I bring the ones that have the books I’m reading up to my room. I really like them but I’m also 15 so I definitely don’t know as much as you yet
Best commentary for beginning reading an niv bible journaling bible please. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on expensive books. What a wonderful library you have! I was just telling my hubby that we need more bookshelves for our growing library😅(he’s a ruling elder in our church and will fill the pulpit when our pastor is out of town, so he has a lot of commentaries and dictionaries too)! Those Calvin commentaries though! I’d love to look at them! ❤
Very interesting and informative. I waa having a hard time hearing everything cause it was going fast then when you said you needed to speed it up I laughed at loud! Thank you!
That set if the Expositor's bible commentary by Frank....can't remember last name. I found that set brand new for 150.00 at a used bookstore that used to be new and used. It just never sold. They have so much more that I want to get there.
Love your new space Faith! We have a small condo so don’t have the space for many books but I’m building my digital library slowly. I’m using the Olive Tree app right now.

Well, Faith, you don't sound any more nerdy than any of us other Bible Nerds out here.
LOL 🤣
I love you, Faith! 💖🙏💖

Love your new space Faith! We have a small condo so don’t have the space for many books but I’m building my digital library slowly. I’m using the Olive Tree app right now.

Good for you. I am not that court use to pay for patron, I do like your information.
Just Start out simple and there are so many free resources online. You don't need 100s of dollars to get started. Make it a priority in your budget and build a small library over time.
This is an amazing library, Faith! Thank you for sharing!
I heard you mention "The Lost World of Genesis One", and I picked up "The Lost World of Adam and Eve."
