Never too old to read aloud. When children get older they can take turn reading aloud. You can also do book clubs with your own kids. People listen to audiobooks so thats reading aloud.

My daughter is currently reading little women and she is about a quarter done. I've seen the movie adaptation so we chat about the book but this also encouraged me to pick that book myself.
