God, this is so fucking cool!! Four well respected musicians in a beautiful collaboration. Good song choice too. McDowell was a legend in his own right.
wonder what it feels like to have john paul grooving your baseline, allison winking at you, and jack white pounding it out on the drums. Good company right there.
Saw Steve play a set a while back, half way through he started talking about Zeppelin...no one really knew why. Then suddenly he goes 'Anyway enough shit...here's John Paul Jones' And he walked out onto stage, and played bass for the rest of the night. Needless to say, everyone in that pub called everyone and half the country was at the door trying to get in ten minutes later. So good.
I saw this performance at the Roundhouse last August. Four musicians from diverse backgrounds doing what they love to do - making excellent music. Such a pleasure!
I was there at that concert at the Roundhouse in Camden. A friend got the tickets for Seasock Steve - little did we know how other amazing performers we were also going to be seeing. This one stuck in my mind to this day. An amazing evening.
It would be my goddamn dying dream to just hangout with theae 3 musicians let alone gwt to jam with them your a lucky man seasick Steve!! Love this tune
This is SO close to greatness. It SOUNDS great and yes Jack is a terrific dynamic drummer too but not everyone can sing the blues. It's a matter of phrasing, expression, artistry and talent even a sense of humor. The majority of people black, white, male, female can't do it. Jack is the best blues singer I've heard and he is a punk rocker. It's nice of Jack to sign his friends to Third Man and who doesn't love an underdog? Not even J.White give this guy even a tiny piece of the talent that Jack has.
I would say the same thing about Jack White, Loved him from the first note. Thanks and love youre gitar and lyrics. A fenomenon are you and nothing else!!
The bass player is John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin :-) How awesome is that? And not even the first time that Jack has played with Zeppelin. He played with Jimmy Page in the documentary "It might get loud" as well. Jeez, what a talent.
this is the coolest thing ever. Steve is chuggin away, like steve does, alison is being naturally sexy, jack is headbanging and making everything harder, and jpj just groooovin
Jack White on drums! Didn't know he could play them. I also enjoyed Seasick Steve collaboration with Tom Jones doing Mississippi Fred McDowell's "You gotta move".
When JPJ smiles and nods in your direction, you're blessed.
I love it when JPJ funks it up. He's a great rock & roll bassist, but he's also a great funk bassist, and you can see it in his movements.
bets comment ever, that man is the reason I picked up a bass, 10 years later and I still haven't put it down
Jack & JPJ are killing it..... These four should cut a CD.
This has the essence of the real blues not the boring players of crossroads!
JPJ always appears out of nowhere when the music starts
thats because he is a god
Seeing seasick steve is one of the things i need to do before i die.
so great to hear John Paul Jones's magnificent bass on this mix....his playing is always magnificent
John paul jones is possibly the greatest musician to ever exist
Agreed !!!!
Oh,yes He is!
He sure can do it 😊😊😊
I didnt know Jack White could play drums like that. I love drummers that play that way. Awesome
God, this is so fucking cool!! Four well respected musicians in a beautiful collaboration. Good song choice too. McDowell was a legend in his own right.
What a crazy amount of talent on the stage at once.
Great Discovery for me in 2021!! JPJ Best Bass Player in the world!!
I love hearing John Paul Jones still killing the blues.
Seasick Steve and Jack White would be a beautiful combo
The combination of people and the complete amount of talent is just to much. I mean, really, come on, this is AMAZING.

SeaSick Steve + Jack White + Alice Mosshart & John Paul Jones = Total annihilation of the senses, in a good way. Thanks MaReTrioX2 for posting.

+Gillian Hefer He grew up playing drums ... had two kits in his bedroom and no space for a bed. That's dedication for ya !
John paul Jones .....he is THE MAN!!!! what an inspiration!!!!

Love it what a band these 4 would make, Steve you are an absolute bloody legend, much love and respect from wales
JPJ ain't no other who can outshine this man. a true virtuoso. jack black should bow down and lick the souls of his shoes.
Just discovered Steve....Man I love this stuff....this old guy ROCKS!
It's stuff like this makes you realise the worlds not such a bad place after all!
It would always be a pleasure to play drums for John Paul Jones and Jack knows that...

It's not often that you see John Paul Jones looking like he's having fun on stage. Nice, very nice.
Thank you for uploading this wonderful song.
John Paul Jones is the only one on stage that's standing because he's THAT amazing!
jesus first time seeing this better late than never i guess?
JOHN PAUL JONES KICKED ASS ON THIS SONG!!!!!!! Just like he did every Led Zeppelin Song!!!!! and those thereafter!!!!!!
JACK, ALISON AND SEA SICK STEVE.... I have just died
Who say the true feeling of rock and the "nice fun" music is death??? that blind people.....
What we have here blues transending generations and sounding brilliant in the process.
john paul jones, one of the reasons I play bass!!!
I love Steve! I wish I had moved to Europe when I had the opportunity. I would have been the bassist! :)
Seasick Steve's chair is awesome.
OMG, what a line-up =:D, Jack (ex-the white stripes), Allison (Kills, the death weather) and JPJ (Led Zeppelin)
Jack white is the meaning of musician from the few exist and what the majority of artists in our days should follow if they want to get somewhere.
OMG !!! Alison Mosshart, Jack White and Seasick Steve playing together ?! I can die happy now! :o
John Paul Jones is the greatest.
JOHN PAUL JONES, are you kidding me, WOW
This is SO close to greatness. It SOUNDS great and yes Jack is a terrific dynamic drummer too but not everyone can sing the blues. What a incredibly talented bunch of people! Brilliant.
I am in love with Alison Mosshart.
this is a fantastic song, would have loved to have been there.. John Paul Jones and the golden fingers!!
so thats what they call dream team
Jack knows what he's doing on the drums...he's originally a drummer, played way before he started guitar and plays drums for the dead weather
you are jamming ! Love it!!! Love it!
Great sound..
What an honor for John Paul Jones to play with Jack White.

My brain can not comprehend how awesome this is!
this is just so amazing!!!!
this is how it's meant to be: musicians come together and play music.
jack kills the drums, so good. this has to be one of the best combinations of musicians in awhile.
Too much awesomeness at the same time
A lotta talent on that stage
Jack is a special fucking talent, lucky to be alive at the same time to witness his genius.

Unobadhombre I have to agree Jack White is amazing!!! Ever see the movie "It might get loud" wow
Damn, Jack White is quite lucky, shared screen with Jimmy Page in "It Might Get Loud", played with JPJ... He is quite close to my heroes!
He also sang with Plant
The Lemon Song with Plant who should have stuck around and did the next song too - Ball & Biscuit.

Que fuerte, las cosas que encuentra uno en UA-cam...EXTRAORDINARIO

Jack White on drums! Didn't know he could play them. I also enjoyed Seasick Steve collaboration with Tom Jones doing Mississippi Fred McDowell's "You gotta move".
White plays the drum in The Dead Weather too.
Carlos Alvarez-Valdes
Thanks for that bit of info.
