oh man! Great video....my mother in law has this exact problem and my small circuit repair skill set is a bit below this. Her E580 has other issues too (keyboard failure and worn out battery) I wish I could find someone to fix it
Not had to do one of these yet (dont like the look of all those hidden pins/contacts underneath the USB C connector) - luckily our laptops arent new enough to have USB-C charging on them yet, still use the old jacks!
it feels really sad because u no longer upload content like 40minites to 1hr with a tough problem ,full diagnosing videos like you uploded in the past maybe like 2 yrs back any way i still love u sorin👍
Can you pls do a tutorial about the charging circuit when it is with USB-C? You did lots of tutorial on charging standard circuits, I would appreciate a lot a specific tutorial on it (or simply having the link in case you did and I missed). Thanks a lot.
ive been doing dc jacks wrong all along! my dumbass goes and desolders every hole, makes everything look perfect and solders it back in with an iron one by one. the whole time i could have just been using hot air to pop it back in without needing to resolder anything but the legs?! omg i a feel like such an idiot! i spend 30 minutes minimum on a dcjack repair. sometimes longer. (desoldering is the longest process). now i know i can do it in 5-10 minutes. WOW...
I love the "Box of shame"... I always have spare screws after re-assembling anything 😀
And they are well calibrated for every laptop...
nah they just always give spares, dont worrry about it (am joking, but framework lapotp actually has 3 spare screws inside)
