Iam a midterm class of '66 graduate of Jack Yates H.S. I remember Phylicia as a majorette in the marching band. I've followed her career and very proud of her accomplishments. I didn't take class from Mrs. Wheadon, but there were other teachers just Mrs. Wheadon who prodded their students to be your best. I'm very proud to have been a student, at that school, during that time. P.S. I knew Major Stevenson quite well!
This is what's missing today, teachers and students who are dedicated, especially in the black community. I LOVE PHYLICIA RASHAD!
