Probably more comparable to the Glock 30. That trigger is surprising. I'm pretty sure the "m" in XDm stands for "match" (grade)... very interesting.
IMO the full XDM Elite OSP line is outstanding. Major mistake is discontinuing for my preference, but I don't have the sales stats. Take the magwell off and you can easily run the larger SA mags with no problems.
I'm with you Senior. On this head to head, especially EDC, I'd go with the Glock. And I'm not a Glock guy, but bulk and ounces wear on you every day.
I love to bring all the information to you guys. 😊🤨 Many of you have first hand experience with these pistols, but hundreds/thousands do not. I picture myself at a large Gun store, what do I need to look at and ……why.

I agree with you. I have a g36 and love the thinness of it. Great carry gun. 6+1 and a spare mag definitely enough for a carry gun, and if you need more step up to bigger gun
I had the XDm compact in in 45acp and I couldn't get past my pinky half hanging on. Either give me a full grip or 2 finger only, not half way.

You must have relatively large hands. I took of the mag well and it fits perfectly.
The 13 round mags with sleeve cares that issue. I took my mag well off and it feels like a full size grip with the 13 round mag.
Springfield XDM ELITES are ALWAYS THE WAY TO GO !!!!!
Interesting comparison. Too bad Springfield discontinued their 45ACP XDM-Elite models. I have been looking for one for over a year and just picked one up for $350. It never interested me initially until I bought my XDM-Elite 3.8" 10mm. I tested all the available striker fired 10mm options at the time and the Springfield was by far my favorite. It feeds anything I put in it, including 200 and 220 grain hardcast. Not the prettiest handgun and the grip could be better but a great overall package. The 45ACP is basically the same model as the 10mm so it was a no brainer for me.
Yes Sir! Great pickup on the 45ACP & the 10MM. Sig & Springfield Armory are killing off a bunch of “available” models. More than 50% of the Sig P220s are gone…. No longer available period. Now to the risk of buying used Sig P220s, and everyone is not honest and they hide scratches, abuse, wear, marks, and everything else you can imagine. I am learning about buying guns online used. 🐰😊😎👍🇺🇸

XDM elite compact is good for me. It's just a little wide. I'm used to the trigger and not an issue for me. If you train it's not an issue. I think it's a great pistol I'm glad you reviewed it.
They are great pistols, I own a few. I also own a few XD pistols that are a few years old. All are Excellent Quality and very dependable in my experience of almost 10 pistols. 😊😎👍🇺🇸

Springfield XDM-Elite…All day..Every day…
I looked at both of those a few years ago. I currently have a g30. I came to the conclusion that I already had a very capable pistol , so why bother changing? I do really like the sights on the XDM. The thing that killed it for me about the 36 was 6 round mags are all that is. Also some parts are very specific to a 36 only. With a 30 I can run a 9, 10, or 13 round mag. It’s kind of a chunky pistol so folks might have to consider larger pants and belt. When a g 30 is fully loaded, it’s not easy to forget that you’re carrying.

Another fantastic comparison! These are two really great pistols, both in their own ways. My lgs has some amazing prices on their XDs and XDMs these days. We all know why, but they're still really great pistols and now at some awesome prices. 👍👍
Absolutely Sir…. Kinda like a Star burning out!! The story of the entire XD & XDM line, to me is they build a good dependable pistol for now a great price. They challenged Glock and got knock out in the 6th round. Now on to Mike Tyson… he is close to my age and I wish him the best. I hope Mike gets out of there alive & well. I like the glock they are good pistols,but the Springfield is in another league,
I own both and can say without a doubt the XDM elite is way better. Better trigger better ergonomics. Pretty much better in every aspect, even accuracy.
That double reset has always kept me away from the XDm elite
I had to cover it…. I do not know how many “Reviewers” would come out and say that this pistol needs a serious break in or a trigger job. It bothered me as you could see. Thanks very much for watching Sir. 😊😎👍🇺🇸

You should check out the Sig P320 .45 before Sig discontinues that gun
Soooo true! Sig is Bad that way. Half of the Sig P220s are GONE from 3 or 4 years ago… more then 50% vanished. It was sad to see that, as I finally wanted to sell a couple of my 1911s (I own about 30) and buy 4 or 5 Sig P220s.
Now I am buying a couple used P220s which I almost never buy used, and 1 New Sig P220. Just a heads up for all of us I guess. Beretta Sr.
Like a few others here I recently bought this handgun on sale for $350, a significantly great buy. Still awaiting state background check to take it home but at least had it in my hands and it feels good, I like the grip, nice trigger action, I also like and am looking forward to the sights during live fire. The gun is everything mentioned in this video, and a nice addition to my 1911 standard .45 plus a full size XD-9. Springfield Armory is top notch in machinery and quality control.
