If you select the frontline command on your field marshal and then SHIFT+Left Click on a frontline, it will make a SINGLE frontline with all generals, as if it was a single frontline 😊

Best guarding is total costal defense, not only ports.
Main thing here is when someone land elsewhere from port, or in it - many unattacked units will come to help automatically.

I dont think giving up Beijing and Tianjin in the start is that great. You had no supply for all you army in the north for so long, leading to massive attrition + the city tiles are pretty hard for Japan to break and will cost them a lot.

Here’s a challenge idea: play as one of the Allies in 1939 (except Poland) and beat Germany (and Soviets if need be) without Poland capitulating.

Great run! The only thing I would add is that it becomes much harder when you try go against the Soviets and you would really need those generals to give more bonuses to your infantry with rifles only (you can easily get them to levels 8 or 9 by the time you crush the Japanese).
P.S. I still think you should build trucks for logistical reasons only.

Funny thing is that I did a similar run a few days ago and was surprised at how busted this strategy was. I usually play with small elite armies but human wave is a fun alternative.

It might just be me, but that zoom in/out is kinda killing me, I preferred just the standard playthrough, the zoom is giving me straight up headaches. Tbh this is just a personal opinion, don't know if the others think the same or not.

My advice don't use fall back lines they don't work your better off just holding as much land as possible. If you want to use fall back lines use half your army to hold to the last so the fall back units can entrench.

i just make really cheap divisions as a port guard and if a naval invasion happens ill send other divisions to defend, of course this isnt invincible and if the japeneese take a port then your port guards cant recapture it alone, but if you are able to micromanage your ports then you should be able to hold
