Big mistake kids make when they get an STI is trying to make it faster first. I think the first mods to be done should be suspension for better ride and weight reduction. I have a 2019 STI and first thing I did was replace the heavy and impossible to clean 19” wheels with Titan7 18” forged. I got fortune auto 500 coilovers and the car feels lighter, quicker and more nimble. Made the car way more fun and engaging to drive. Well worth the money spent.

I decided to save the $100 at time of purchase and go chrome. plus, the black chrome is somewhat fragile and is not compatible with cleaners/polishers like the tip tonic. good news, I guess, is the tips can be removed and you can soak them and they can be cleaned off the car...
Nice job....yea I love my fortune auto coilovers....definitely louder but way better...if you add sway bars just make sure not to go with whiteline adjustable ones they will add to the noise
@@jasonhall3693 they pop and make some banging like noises once they are on for like 2 weeks..i think it is becauseof the ball joints... the second I switched to the solid bushing style endlings it instantly went away...
Oh and for the coilovers they will tend to make you hear more road noises and other noises when going over bumps on the road....coilovers are a better ride but are not as soft like the stock ones...

Yeah definitely wanna pre load like eddieguns said. Yr bushings are gonna rip eventually if they haven’t already. Also you can use the open end of a wrench with yr impact to remove those “long boys”.

Why do people say these things are expensive? I just checked for the first time, and the fortune Auto C/O are only $1800. For some reason I always thought they were super expensive.. I guess I'm just used to German vehicle Auto parts, and 4wheeling Suspension parts.. The drop looks good, with aftermarket wheels. Some people drop their STI with/while on stockers, and IMO it looks cheesy.
How much lower do you think the car is? I mean I’ve thought about it but stock the STI track suspension just makes it look lowered as is…. And I’d hate scrape a bunch 🥲
Its about 2 in lower without rubbing on anything. I could still go lower but I'd rather play it safe but I also don't want to be scraping or stressing.
Yeah I was pretty shocked. Ohlins is more expensive so probably why the name wasn't as familiar to everyone like BC and FA. I wasn't sure if this was the direction I wanted to go so I found a midpoint. I ordered the foglights from Subispeed. Its the Winjet one I think

@@KaitRose I bet it's so much more fun when you're planted on the road makes you feel more secure in a sense specially driving on the twisties. The HKS hipermax S are what I'm looking at mostly for daily driving but driving on the OEM Bilstein coilovers feels little to stiff it probably the same feeling but who knows I might like the HKS better.

I would pre load the rear control arm bushings, I did this and it fixed my uneven ride height

I will be installing my FA's (Cygnus X!'s) as soon as the weather gets better. How did you set the coilover length to achieve the correct ride height?
Exciting! Compressed the coil spring to 6 1/2 in the front and 6 3/4 in the back. Compression is 12 clicks out. Spacing between lock rings is 2 3/4.

I think u put the front coilovers on back words,the logo supposed to be facing u,looking from the front of the car!!!
It's impossible to install with the logo facing the front. The camber place would be facing the wrong way.
