I've never heard of Butterscotch Confetti squares, so I googled it and I'm pretty sure I drooled on my keyboard! I can't wait to make the real and fake ones. Everything you create is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Amazing and awesome Dawn! I had to giggle at about how long it took you to make over 100 marshmallows! I'm sure you have NOTHING else to do every day...House, kids, husband, school, cooking "real" food meals! And, probably can't say "hey family, come on and let's make marshmallows!" to speed things up. Me...well, nothing else gets done when I start these projects! Good thing with most of them...they ALL HAVE TO DRY..couple of days sometimes! Yay, chores get done! It's always fun to come back to the projects, and it's so rewarding, because everything turns out pretty darn good! And it's especially nice having such a GREAT TEACHER like you! Thanks!! Oh...now I have to look up the recipe for the real confetti squares!
I just found you a couple of months ago and I fell in love with this craft! Your videos are so good! I love that you have each step figured out and show us exactly what to do! I have OCD (obsessive Christmas disorder) and I can’t wait to add this to my Christmas displays! Wish I lived close enough to you to get to craft with you in person. ❤️❤️❤️
You are such a joy to watch, I love your fake treat tutorials and you... Thank you for another fun and amazing craft!!! I'm glad people are finally getting to know you and your name... ;) God bless...
Love this! I wish I was your neighbor so I could have craft-play-days with you 😊 You make really fun things! I’ve made donuts, cakes, cupcakes, lollipops and more since watching you. Now I need to make marshmallows!!! 🥰
I have never heard of this desert, but I think this idea will be added to my list. Thank you for the tutorial. Your very good at explaining what your doing.
The marshmallows are so adorable!! They do look real, but I think all your creations look real so I'm probably not the best judge. I love how the butterscotch confetti squares came out, what an interesting and pretty treat to display. Thank you so much Dawn, you are always inspiring and such fun to watch!
Hi Dawn! I have never heard of this treat before. It sounds delicious! I have already said it but, will say it again, you're a master at faux food! Everything looks so real and yummy! Thank you for sharing ❤
Butterscotch marshmallow squares are so delicious and one of my favourite things to eat from a local bakery in Southern Alberta where I live..your faux treats are so incredibly real and amazing 😍
Years ago I wanted to make fake sweets for my Christmas tree and that’s how it started! However when I was a young girl I did craft shows and made wooden ornaments and used caulking as frosting on a few of them!
That's so nice to hear. I starting crafting, drawing etc. at age 4 thanks to my mom, who would draw me little pictures, bought me craft kits and I'd watch her do craft kits too. She'd let me help her as well. I thank her greatly for this blessing. You have to teach your kids about arts & crafts when they're little. I did it with mine! Now my daughter is a crafter, selling her items! Creativity is an amazing thing. It made me a Mrs fix it too as a result. 😂🛠🪚🔩 💗💚
I've been making these for years and it truly is a lot of work 💪🏻 and time consuming. My hubby didn't have the same reaction for his wife's marshmallows as yours did🤣💗💚 However I still love to watch our Dawn's videos! So funny how people had your name all wrong, including myself for a while. I hope you never stop posting! Thank you for being so fun to watch, crafting sister!💕 Looks cold there🥶❄️
Love this idea thank you for sharing I like all your projects you can spray the model magic with a little bit of water and it'll help soften it up again and make it pliable I use it all the time a little spray bottle with tap water works great
Thank you for showing us how to make the marshmallows. I’ve never heard of that dessert either.but that is so cool. They look so real. They took some time for you to make them you’re a patient lady!
I love these treats. They are fun to make, freeze well, defrost quickly and taste delicious 😋 You can also make chocolate confetti squares! The butterscotch confetti squares are my faves! If you line your loaf pan with plastic wrap first, you will be able to pull the goodies out without wrecking your loaf pan.
I love the peanut butter marshmallow squares …thank you for this tutorial …and I think I’m going to add some essential oils to put a drop inside mimicking the scent of the treat? If I can’t find essential oil‘s then I will use scented candle wax to drizzle a bit on the bottom of each square?🥰
Thanks so much for your videos. I’m one of those people that never heard of this treat before, will have to try the real one also. Thanks again. Have a great day
Thank you soooo much for sharing!! I love your videos! It’s so hard to find new techniques of faux food online. I’m always so excited when I see you posted a new video! This one is amazing 😍 I’m excited to try this one out now. thanks again! ❤️
I love this idea. I will have to try this. I was just making marshmallows last night out of this Model Magic clay ( I am working on a s’more item for my s’mores tier tray.
Love this..looks just like the real recipe.I make the buttercotch as well ,and also the chocolate recipe especially at Christmas. Must try this, but i am very very new to crafting fake food...Love your posts!! I live in a small town in Noia Scotia Canada and it is so hard to find craft materials here.
I think I saw "Bargain Bethany" mention your name in a video recently while she did some food art tutorials (I had already found you and subscribed so I knew who she was talking about) so if you notice a spike in subscribers recently it is possibly because she mentioned she discovered you. Love your videos BTW! I'm from Canada and know the dessert you are doing! Great job! Thanks for showing us your craft and giving us wonderful ideas!
You should come out with your own paint line and colored magic mold I would love to see you make a name with all your great idea and I would buy your cool fake cakes and all the neat stuff you come with with . So cool market and sale , I even see you make kits kids will love to used as craft , and love to make for fun and make your molds like a peeps mold and personal marshmello molds to make DIY more easier and brand and market your cool stuff for selling different craft store
Thank you Dawn. I’ve been waiting for this video to come out. I love watching your videos. Your videos were the first fake bake videos I ever watched. I’ve never heard of this sweet treat. You know, I haven’t seen colored marshmallows in a very long time. I wonder if they sell them here in the lower 48 states anymore.
I was wondering if theres a way to make fake ribbon candy that looks real !!! I would like to put some on my Christmas tree. Reminds me of my grandmom !!!! 🥰

I love your channel, it’s fun to watch you bring all the sweets to life! You mentioned you sell them at craft shows, is everything in a container or cellophane, so the product isn’t being touched by many hands?
hi! sweetie, thank you so much for such amazing tutorials. Love them all! . Kindly allow me to ask, what's the BEST way to THICK and THIN the spackling when needed? and regarding the Acrylate latex silicon (Alex Plus) HOW, WHEN, AMOUNT to use? I can see this in your videos but not sure how to use it and WHY. Many thanks. Much love, Gaby
Hi!I never measure anything I just go by the texture I’m looking for.The more you work with spackle the more you get to know.If you want it smooth just add a little water ,sometimes a lot of paint with make it smooth as well.If you want it thicker just add a little flour and if you want to make ice cream scoops just make sure you put a lot of flour!
@@thepinktree3490 how sweet of you! thank u so much for this. Dear .... and ... what about Acrylate latex silicon (Alex Plus) HOW, WHEN, AMOUNT to use? By any chance do you have a video where u have this so we can understand? many thanks . hugsssss
How long do the marshmallows stay soft and squishy? I want to make a lot ahead of time so I have them ready to make these squares. Don't they eventually dry hard?
You should start your own Facebook page with your fake bake. Just a thought! You do more fake bake than the other person... and your fake bakes are way better and more realistic! Think about it!

I sold mostly my houses and a few cakes, people really touch them but if I sell smaller items I would most likely package them!
If you line your pan with parchment paper you could pull it out and pull the paper off of your project ;)

I have Instagram and a public Facebook page called The Pink Tree where I gave pics of all the items I make!❤️
Do you paint them afterwards because the marshmallow you made looked white!
I mix craft paint with the model magic!
Do you sell your creations? Or are they just for fun? Love your videos! ❤️
I do sell some items on my Facebook page called The Pink Tree!
Hi, I’m new to your channel and I think I’ve watched all your videos! Everything is so cute. Can I ask what kind of sealer you use?
Thank you.
Welcome to my channel! If I seal anything I just use craft varnishes that are sold with the craft paint!I don’t seal any of my fake sweets.
Hi even though I am 9 I am begging you to make ring pops because my birthday is a carnival theme.
Please reply
I hope you have a great birthday!Someone told me they saw ring pop molds on etsy!
Yay
S So creative💓👻😜🥰👌🏻
After they sit do the deform or say the same shape
Stay in the same shape!
How long do the marshmallows stay soft and squishy? I want to make a lot ahead of time so I have them ready to make these squares. Don't they eventually dry hard?
They do dry pretty hard but not rock hard!
Muchas gracias por compartir tus malvaviscos falsos .... Dios te bendiga 🙏
Also, do you use matte or glossy craft paint?
I just use regular craft paint and they only come in a satin type sheen!
How do you keep them clean!
You can dust them off with a dry paint brush!
Sweet....ps...pun intended...lol
You should start your own Facebook page with your fake bake. Just a thought! You do more fake bake than the other person... and your fake bakes are way better and more realistic! Think about it!
