    The Creamback Modern sounds like a Roadster and the Heritage sounds like a mark v. Nice mix of tones.

      Uh- thats an interesting observation - the moderns are a bit wooly-er in the low mids which I can see the parallel there. Thanks for watching man!

    Dude, try some Redbacks man. Spawns are great. Favorite cabs.
    Try Redback/V30 or V30/K100.

      @@Jon_Tate The Redback/V30 and also the Redback/K100 are both insane blends.

    Id lose my shit pretty quick if a cab was loaded with only creamback vintages, but mixed with the moderns they compliment what each other lacks. Subbed to see the mesa comparison!

      Hahaha yea- the sauce is in the blend for sure - thanks for the sub man! I appreciate it!

    Try the Redbacks. They are the best of the cream back bunch.
    Also V30/CL80 or K100 is a great blend.

      Thank YOU for watching! And I greatly apologize for the late response- apparently youtube has been hiding a ton of comments in the past few years...

    oh yea i forgot to ask you if ORANGE ever did reach out to you about the chinese made speakers in that cab?

    • @Jon_Tate
      @Jon_Tate  5 років тому +1

      No sir- I guess I am the only one who had an issue with that. For me it is a matter of principle, UK designed, made in the USA, and they want to toss in the same V30's that are found in Harley Benton cabs for their really proud pricing.
      Not going to knock anybody who digs the Orange cabs, but that will be a solid pass for me, in regards to where Im spending my money.

      Spearhead Studios I aggree but even friedman 4x12 are loaded with chinnese speakers and Dave told that it doesn’t matter, because it simply sounds great in those cabs...well, that cab cost is even higher than orange

    • @Jon_Tate
      @Jon_Tate  5 років тому

      @@obestertomas Thats what I heard as well, and thus my hesitation to get a Friedman cab. Again it very well may be a hang up that I am stuck on. I have no doubt that Dave builds a damn fine cab, but as I mentioned in a previous comment, it is a matter of principle at that price point, for me at least. If it matters to Mesa, as they drive a hard demand to only source UK made V30's for their cabs, then it makes you wonder.

      @@Jon_Tate Yea but Mesa V30's also slightly sound different than normal V30's. All Vintage 30's since 2002 have been made in China. Bogner, Friedman all of the cabs with V30's are Chinese made and trust me, they sound exatly the same, even feel and weight exactly the same. I worked at WGS Speakers a few years and we did extensive comparisons.

    Sounds great bro. Love Splawn cabs and Orange cabs. Jim Root kills it on Orange cabs. I find the Chinese V30s identical to English.

    • @Jon_Tate
      @Jon_Tate  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the comment - Jim Root is a beast for sure. I totally get ya boss- haha we'll simply have to agree to disagree on the Chinese V30 vs UK V30- and that's perfectly ok!

      @@Jon_Tate I may try to find some older V30s to drop into my Splawn 412 man. Unless I can find a good used Mesa 412..
      I use the Hellatone 60s and like them. I'll grab some English V30s, maybe the Mesa ones!
      I have to admit your Orange cab video sounded great to me.

      Well who would have thought! I grew up around the Boone/Linville area in NC. Before I retired I was stationed out of Fort Bragg, there on the east coast. Im much more keen on western Carolina though TBH. You must have messed up to find yourself down in Alabama lol - I joke I joke- haha

Its a place that I dont mind visiting, but my skin crawls just thinking about moving back to that state. I just put that in the "Nope" box, and dont think much about it- haha.
      Though with the way things are going in regards to audio - I will be looking to uproot again. SO who knows where all this will take me- but something tells me that it will not be NC.

      @@Jon_Tate agreed,you couldn't pay me to move back to NC !! Such a depressing state and so far behind times.soith Alabama is beautiful and the white sand beaches and the hot women are awesome but the heat and humidity would have Satan himself on the run ! I'm almost 47 years old and my kids are in high school and as soon as they venture out on their own I'm probably headed somewhere towards colorado.the music scene here in bama fucking sucks so unless you just love hot and humid weather and sand I don't suggest that you come here either.politics are great,gun permits are easy to get and their is not emissions testing or vehicle inspections.housing is affordable unless your wanna live on the beach side.
