    Internal fans don't cool the bulb as well as an external fan bulb the external fan cools from outside so all air moving in engine bay cools the bulbs were internal fan has to work harder to cool the bulb because there isn't much moving air good video though

    Great video! The company Auxito recently reached out to me to see if I was interested in trying their LES headlight bulbs. Considering they are sending them to me for free to do a review on I might take them up on the offer. I want to try them out on my 2004 Ford Ranger XLT. I live in North Carolina, and it gets really dark at night, and I need a bright set of lights.

    I used Auxito (older wire harness) and was great until 1 stopped working. I then tried Hikari and did not fit correctly and beam pattern was terrible. I will try these new Auxito.

    Thanks for thoughtful review. Until you explained that they stray light came from the bulb housing I had believed it was from the LED. Your description to what was going on inside the bulb housing was helpful. As LEDs become the standard I'm assuming that car manufacturers will adapt their housing lenses to work with them better.

      Ya I use these same brand bulbs in my 2017 Subaru and in my 2014 Ford E350 van and they work WAY better on those because the headlight housings are designed better.

    Hello Stronghold Garage!
    This is Nove from AISKITS, I watched your channel it’s really exciting and impressive.
    This is a newly launched LED headlight! You can see this LED headlight, is not cool?it is our latest development of a product!
    In the United States, there are many classic cars, they are our closest partners! Now they may need some upgrades to accompany us better.
    Replacing and upgrading our headlights does more than making driving safer. They improve the look of your vehicle as well as its performance. LED bulbs have a lower power pull on your vehicle’s battery and system. They also give our vehicle a fresh and new feel with bright white light.
    I was wondering if you could do a share for it on your UA-cam:
    • Introduction
    • Overview of features
    • Actual driving footage with the bulbs
    • Amazon link on the description for viewers interested in buying the product."
    Please let me know if this is OK with you. Really looking forward to working with you.
    Best wish,
    Nove

    Beamtechs were great in my 2014 F150 and my dads 2007 GMC Sierra, Auxitos were better in my Mopar Vehicles. Think it just comes down to the vehicle brand for which LEDs to use honestly.

    I would think an external fan would cool much better, there would be very little air movement inside the light fixture, probably not an issue short term but I would imagine over time the excess heat inside the housing would reduce light lifespan significantly. Fan noise when vehicle is running seems like it wouldn't matter much? Thanks for the review, I put new OEM bulbs and housings in my '04 Ranger, still super dim and kind of sketchy when going faster than about 60. I want something I can actually see with.

      My Avalanche LED's do the same thing. Ice build up. One thing up here in the snow belt is the LED's don't generate the same heat inside the reflector area that a halogen does. Thus, the light cover surface doesn't melt the ice. I should move down south!! 😂

    • @rayregnogarage
      @rayregnogarage  2 роки тому +1

      Not trying to flex, but hard to give you an accurate longevity assessment because I have 6 cars and I drive them all equally. Haha. So the wear and tear gets spread out. BUT.. I would definitely recommend with going more yellow. I like how the white light looks, but it sucks in snow and fog. In San Diego it's not terrible, but I live in Spokane most of the time, and the white light is kind of a drag when the weather is bad.

    I have a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder that has almost the same headlight housing as the Xterra. I would like to know what the low beam is like as compared to the OEM Halogen.? People love to talk about the high beam for HID and LED, but never the low beam. My previous vehicle I bought HID's for it and here in Texas where we have to get car inspections once a year before we can get our registrations renewed, your vehicle has to pass the inspection. The inspection people always said that because of my HID's that I had no low beam and only a high beam and so my vehicle did not pass the inspection. I am guessing that there is no low beam on the LED..?

    • @rayregnogarage
      @rayregnogarage  2 роки тому

      On the xterra, the high beam/low beam works like factory using these LEDs. the only thing is that you can only have one or the other. With the halogen beam, when you have the high beam on, both low and high filaments are working. On the LED, when you turn on the high beam, you lose the low. So you can see far ahead of you, but lose some output right in front of you. These are easy enough to swap out for inspections. Should take you no more than 5 min

    • @ragnaroksangel
      @ragnaroksangel 2 роки тому

      I don't believe that is true about HIDs. If they are stock bulbs, then they should pass inspection. Not your fucking responsibility, they should take it up with Nissan, not you. You didn't manufacture the vehicle.
