Not all of Famagusta is a ghost town. A town in Famagusta called Varosha is and after the war happened, that part of the city was completely destroyed. It’s not safe for anyone to enter the city and is currently blocked off from the rest of the city.
I did not think much of Famagusta before it was shot up let alone now. I understood that Varosha was the old name for Famagusta and not a separate place.

@@alielq1ran There was no civil war in 1969. That happened in 1974. I had some friends who had a house in Cyprus in the 1990's and I visited the island three more times. My opinion did not change. There are much nicer islands in the Mediterranean.
