Xantrex Solar Panel System Replaces Generator on TT35 Trawler

Mirage Manufacturing installed 6 Xantrex Solar panels onto its TT35 trawler and eliminated a generator altogether. Travis Fickett from Mirage Manufacturing explains the benefits of using the newly launched Xantrex Solar panel system. The TT35 also utilizes the Xantrex FREEDOM SW 3012 for its power needs.

How about adding a generator and two 50 Hp electric motors, all functions even cruising would be accomplished. I would be very interested in this type of set up.

Elco makes a nice plug and play setup for their electric outboards. This might be an option for mirage manufacturing.

Are the outboards hooked to this battery array to be able to charge it while underway if needed?

The batteries are charged by the Freedom SW inverter/charger when shore power is available and also through solar charge controller/solar array, don't think this particular model's battery are connected to outboards.
