@45:47 ❤ I love how you guys are all in! Searching diligently the scriptures in trying to understand them and having questions about them are very active expressions of faith! Thanks for exemplifying that 👍 talking about secret combinations...do you think it's entirely possible that the secret combinations that Nephi used to obtain the plates from Laban were ultimately the very inspiration and model that the Gadianton robbers ran with and used to justify their actions ~550 years later?! Perhaps the Gadianton robbers really believed that what they were doing was authorized by God just like how Nephi felt?!
💕 keep up the excellent work

Took a lot of notes this week, especially loved the "counterfeit temple words" bit. I've recently discovered that there are types and shadows of Satan in the scriptures. I don't know why I didn't think there would be an opposite to types and shadows of Christ in the scriptures, but we see new things all the time. Now that I've seen it, it's found throughout the scriptures.

Question for you Taylor. Any connection between the names “Gidgiddoni” and “Gideon”?
The reason I ask is because Gidgiddoni plays a role in hanging Zemnarihah. After which the tree is “hewn down” “felled down” and/or “cut down.” Which is the meaning of the name Gideon.
Giddianhi, Gidgiddoni, Gideon all have these “Gid” names. These names also happen to coincide with a chapter where “felling down” or “cutting down” is a theme.

Likely. Check on these: www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h1438/kjv/wlc/0-1/ and www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h1413/kjv/wlc/0-1/

@@ScriptureInsightsLearning thanks Tyler! This is incredible! I’ve been studying this a lot.
Mormon has to be using wordplay with the names in this chapter. In chapter 3 the word “gather” and “together” are used 10 times.
In chapter 4 the words “fall” and “fell” are used
      9 times.
It also seems the message of both men reflect these meanings… Gidgiddoni to gather and protect. Giddianhi violence through “felling” he “fells” his enemies and he himself “falls” in the end.
Think I’m going to include this in my Gideon work as some supporting evidence.

Hi, I thought one of the early Antichrists, Nehor or Korihor was hung from a tree on a hill named Manti?

I wonder if Giddianhi was not wicked enough that he made oaths lightly. I've always been interested to see he committed to attack the Nephites, 3 Nephi 3:8, "next month" of the 16th year (v1) but led his armies only at the end of the 18th year (3 Nephi 4: 1).
