She's not metaphorically Nika, she's actually changing into him. That's literally becoming Nika. She's not a metaphor. You could call her an allegory, or a symbol for the idea of everyone having their own inner freedom of choice. She's just able to literally make those choices and actualize them. So no metaphor.
@@wmbtech I think you're mixing their point - I believe (and I could be wrong) they're saying that outside of the story, the point of Bonny becoming another Nika is a metaphor. I.E. for the readers to also feel that they too could bring joy and standup for what's right and fight for a cause.

@@Saw_Bean my thoughts exactly, she couldn't have C.H or maybe her powers may surprise us because its a alternate reality that meaning she may have conquer's haki in that timeline but that would be wayyyy too busted and OP you'd think atleast, we will just have to hope Oda balances the power boost with something that is realistic/reasonable for the story and not overshadowing Luffy because it would make Nika seem underwhelming in so many ways, I already knew she would be able to obtain the power/form but I really don't want it to make Luffy's achievements seem like they were nothing, He had to go through so much to obtain the titles and abilities of Joyboy/Nika Awakening isn't something that should just be brushed off or a "Super sayian bargain sale" It will help us greatly but still its the principle of the matter

She is technically using another devil fruit when she changes herself into a future in-which that version of her has the nika devil fruit separate from her own.
By looking and watching luffy she aquired a complete set and mastery of the nika fruit to the point of awakening. By distorting a version of herself that has the fruit. She wouldnt have known about nika and its capabilities without experiencing it from luffy.
Does this mean she can change her future self to a point that has other devil fruit powers? Could she have a power that allowes herself to copy other peoples abilities and fruits.
But its limited by the fact she would need to see it to do it. If you dont lay out your full arsenal she cant copy the full thing. Or maybe im looking too far into it and its something else like she just naturally gets more mastery of the fruit she copied over time

When it comes to String Theory, anything past the 4th dimension is not only hard to explain but you will more or less get differing interpretations on what they are when you research it. Basically, the 5th dimension is where "parallel worlds" come into play, where every possibility has spawned its own dimension. A 5th dimensional being would hypothetically be able to traverse to a parallel world with the same initial coordinates as their own.
In Bonnie's case I think she's tapping into the 5th Dimension and becoming a version of herself that ate the Nika Nika fruit. Hypothetically, if that fruit has 5th dimensional implications, she can have any devil fruit, maybe even become like Blackbeard? Become A Haki master? etc
ofc I could be wrong since it is described as "parallel timelines". Anything past the 3rd dimension becomes real complicated lol

after watching the donflam arc again. I can't help but think that the tournament is a smaller version of the god valley incident. But the main prize for that was the hito hito no mi: model sun god nika. But roger and xebec stop it and somehow roger ended up with the fruit. Then roger gave the fruit to his female friend/lover lady that he had no child with yet. She ate the fruit. Later on roger came to the point where he decided to have a child. This is why aces mom was able to carry ace for so long, because she had the nika fruit powers of making dreams possible.

That Alabasta's history will be relevant is to be expected, especially in view of the portrait shown again (of an ancestor of Vivi?). Depending on the era and region, the sun deity of the old polytheistic religions (Šamaš (Shamash), Utu, Re or even the Japanese Amaterasu) was very important; depending on the time even the most important deity. But at most times, over thousands of years, (regional) triads / families with several powerful deities were worshipped, which leaves room for other important key figures. Bonney, Law, Buggy and others with the name D. could evolve to embody other powerful deities who accompany the sun god Nika, similar to the ancient Egyptian book "Amduat" for the nightly journey of the sun god Re on the sun barque (barque = a ship), a story which is known in Twelve Sections (In One Piece so far 10 completed "main arcs") and fight alongside him. I think the ancien kingdom is referring to "Carthage" (Actual Tunisia north africa), it was very advanced country to it's time and Joyboy is "Hannibal Barca" the Leader of this Kingdom army who crossed the Alpes with Elephants (Zuneisha) used to fight the romans. He won many battles and almost won the war. But He was betrayed by the parlement of carthage and eventually lost the war.

Ive been waiting for her to go Nika. Saturn explained her powers work based on what she believes is possible. That she would get weaker as she grew up bc she would face more reality and lose hope and imagination. as she was falling in to dispair in that moment, doubting. Now that she's actually seen Nika, her hope has been restored, seeing is believing, and she can create that future.
