Very exciting piece... It's one of my favorite concertos
The intensity of the ending is really fun!
This piece was premiered after a piece from Delius (a piece of some serenity) and that is why it starts with the gloves. When I learned that, I tryed to know in advance, the place my new piece will have in the first concert after the commission. That can inspire you (or not)!

Thanks, George. I have been waiting for you to post some percussion music. If you ever get around to it, I would love to see some marimba music posted here. Even though I do not play classical percussion anymore, I love to follow the scores.
