I'm just now discovering Jason Scheff is having joined Chicago in 1986. He's awesome and awesome looking! Some have compared his voice to Peter Cetera but I don't think he sounds like Cetera but he's awesome just the same!
Same here. He really added that rocker guitar player sorely missing post Kath. He didn't just cover Kath's parts, but brought his own style and flair, and here in 2024, I'm discovering it for the first time and loving it.
Estos son los mejores integrantes de Chicago. Pasan muchos músicos excelentes pero para mi estos son los mejores . Chicago para todo el mundo. Yo los sigo desde el año 66
There's something about this lineup that I really like. They're playing is so natural and the band has more of a "rock" feel to it. I think this recorded in '92 or '93...
I for one think Jason has an amazing voice and if someone had to replace Peter they made a good choice with Jason but im sorry nobody can fully replace Peter for me.
We wonder who would worry about a singer such worse things too worry about then a different person at least they are still a band and together at the time .. hey even if it was 5 years ago life changes ..👍👍👌👌
@@michelleseal988 I agree !! I love Chicago and I was worried that they couldn't replace Peter!!Jason was perfect l have been to all concerts even the last in 2017 with Jason playing with Chicago and Earth ,wind and 🔥 here in Northeast Florida
Im a huge fan of Chicago, but somehow I’ve never seen any videos with Dawayne Bailey…holy cow that was the best guitar playing I’ve heard with this band (after Terry of course)- holy smokes why didnt he stay around
2 great performers at different times total talent the close. Second group seems to have more total variation that adds to the original band. My biggest regret was I never got to the the second group perform . Baileys guitar on your're the inspiration outstanding. Disappointed in the later animosity.
Great to see the horns out there as the two songs did not have them. The Record Co insisted that the 80s songs were absent of the horns as you can see the reaction by the audience no one thought that was a good idea at all!
With all due respect, Bailey and Champlin didn't really fit into Lamm's idea of a top notch college horn band, Chicago has always had great writing, but it's the spark of improvisation which adds the fire, not repetitive "safe" performances. To me this is one of the better groupings, the fire is definitely there. It's the Kaths, Baileys & Champlins which make me want to listen more than once.
@@jrock2264 Yeah he lasted 31 years with a horrible voice and Chicago became a mediocre band.. The band could of found a better replacement for Peter..
Dawayne's vocal chops never got the credit deserved, but you can really hear what an incredible vocalist he is listening to his harmonies in YTI. Truthfully, he outshines Jason here. However, I don't think Dewayne had that vocal Je ne sais quo to have replaced Jason as the lead singer. I believe this became a source of rivalry and contention, especially as Jason's vocal performances became less reliable, suffering from poor technique, pitchiness, and sounding gutteral, especially during live performances. The hope in Jason as a supergroup-level lead singer dwindled quickly, but the timing of Dewayne's unhealthy relationship with Felicia as the final nail in the coffin for his career with Chicago helped to preserve Jason's position in a Band that became less and less relevant starting around the same time.
The guy on guitar is good but doesnt do justice to the solo and songs. The melody of the solo is an integral part if the composition, not to be wanked over. Keith howland is the best guitarist for chicago bdcausd he plays the melodies and adds his own touches to it.
I got to totally agree with you there!! I don't know who the leader of this band actually was but Henley of the Eagles was pretty much a perfectionist. Even the band Toto put some long term lead singers on the road when they could no longer hit their notes. Some songs could be kinda hidden, but not the Cetera ballads! Go figure!!
The trumpet player is not L.L. but Lee Thornberg, who seems to get all the good crums in the major open gigd, Like BS&T, the old tonight band. He is quite a player that does not get all the kudos he deserves. Who is the fat chick on drums?
Mary's Comedy Club / why no subscribers! Look I love Bailey as a guitar player but his shred style and tone for Chicago stuck out like a sore thumb....Sometimes certain styles don’t fit in certain bands and it’s not about being jealous or a wanker.....
I love this version of. Chicago. Jason sadueka. Who is on lead guitar with the head band…this formation is fab. 🎉❤😊😊
Il na pas du resté longtemps jason sadueka pourtant c était un soliste phenomenal domage
Lead guitar is Dewayne Bailey

The group of songs of the Chicago band is one of my favorites in the 80's and up to now, especially their song,"Will You Still Love Me".
dawayne bailey on guitars.. great talent man! awesome performance chicago!
One of my most favorite incarnations of Chicago..Everyone was great ..
Yes!
C chicago band c était les meilleurs
Músicos de mi época de adolescente recordar es volver a vivir
The lead guitar is awesome. I thank god I was able to hear him over his shirt
Yeah, but it's mislabeled. That's Dawayne Bailey, not Keith Howland.
I've discover Dawayne lately, how amazing player he was
You know musicians human being! Sometime you got ha good mood to play music Sometime you be don't have it!
Guitar player was a 10/10 ! NO DOUBT.

One of the greatest bands ever!!!
Love his long hair!! Absolutely beautiful!! 💖💖💖

Great stuff, friends.. And what a good line up! 🐻😸However it's not Keith Howland but Dawayne Bailey on guitar!!! and he's brilliant. 👍
You never get to see these kinds of talents anymore.

Jason is hot here with that long hair
Pour moi c est le meilleur groupe chicago que j ai connu
love it! brings back good memories. ❤
thats not Keith Howland on guitar...its Dawayne Bailey, he's an amazing guitarist!
Yeah..he's so good
Dawayne also sang high harmonies. He’s really a genius on guitar. He has his own channel under his name here on UA-cam. Check it out!
@@lbsangahlawnd0153bien sur d accord avec toi un soliste genial bravo les gars vous nous manquez beaucoupssss
Jaon, an all time favorite and his songs outstandingly expressive of romance. Please keep singing.
Dawayne Bailey ist the brilliant guitarist.

holy cow! you're too right!! 🐮
Uau...que show...solo da hora❤
This version of the band was super hot and rocked ….
Sheesh this is amazing.
Best version of Chicago...
The band 10 out of 10!!!!!!
He looks great with long hair!
And Dewayne Bailey.Super quitar player
Truly a great guitarist
Dawayne génial mention spéciale au trompettiste pour l enchaînement dommage que ce n est pas souvent le cas et bravo a cette génération de chicago
best concert ever..............
Fun seeing Lee Thornburg of Tower of Power playing trumpet with Chicago.

Chicago 😍 amo !!
Oh my oath!!!!! This lead guitarist...... Unbelievable arrangements. Whatever happened to him?
5:00, Baily absolutely shredding his guitar and very few people watching. They are watching the horns.
Monster guitarist
ジェイソンシェフ、ビル・チャンプリン最高〜✨😊

Fabuleux dommage que les années passent si vite
Very Nice!
O guitar baily é muito fera...
What year was this great concert here to ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Best lineup.
A fantastic singer on his own right.
Still, I prefer Peter's singing of this song.
Nothing wrong with Jason's singing.
Rien à dire c est la crème des crèmes
happy singing
Great band
Scheffy is boss, all day every day I prefer THIS voice, although Cetera doesn't exactly suck.
I am just now discovering Jason Scheff
Dawayne Bailey in best performance ..
APRIL HOLDEN LOVE NIK DERAN ❤❤
Who was playing trumpet? That’s not Lee. ❓
❤❤❤
Wow, not one comment (that I saw) about Peter and how this this young dude isn't as good...Great job Chicago fans!! But c'mon
This dude can't sing and Peter is the best.. These people most likely became Chicago fans in the 1990s....😆😆😆😆
Genial
Was this the DaWayne Bailey show? He's a heck of a guitarist but I think his playing was way over the top for what Chicago.
Question: is there a DVD for this concert?? Which one? Thanks !
this is nice song...
in what year did this concert take place ?
annisa
1992
Deep Dish. Order for 3
Who is the third keyboardist in the back?
James Pankow
Who is on trumpet and where is Lee Loughnane?

Lamm hasn't written a hit song since 1976s ANOTHER RAINY DAY IN NEW YORK CITY. His vision of Chicago faded with the 1970s. Time moves on. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
That’s Dawayne Baily on guitar, not Keith.
Jason was such a good replacement for Peter and a great fit.
What? You don't really believe that....i mean cmon
@@dustingriffith4725 Yes, I do. He sounded enough like Peter to pull it off. Great singer, and he lasted for 31 years in the band.
@@jrock2264 Yeah he lasted 31 years with a horrible voice and Chicago became a mediocre band.. The band could of found a better replacement for Peter..

Wer is peter
Check out my sample from this song I hope you like it, its called time away
Good but no one replace Peters voice it's better than Jason schef 🥰peters voice have pounch soul emotion🥰🥰🥰
This sounds ok. That's about it
This is Chicago, not Dream Theater
Nada perto da interpretação de Piter Cetera.
I still prefer Peter Ceteras voice over this one, thank you! ✌

Cetera is a better voice by far he was Chicago without any questions asked no
was he Keith Howland??
Thank you..
Dawayne Bailey.
Lee is not on trumpet.
No Peter Cetera, no Chicago
No kidding! Gross.
Sorry peter’s voice is too unique. This version didn’t work for me.

Not Peter Cetera
All said, I still can't understand how they allowed Scheff to sing such sour notes for decades

Dude can't sing at all
en gustos no hay nada escrito, a mi me gusta peter cetera y el guitarrista keith howland.

The drummer is Tris Imboden, who replaced Danny Seraphane.
That is NOT Lee on trumpet. Good job, but it's not him.
Sorry without Peter don't sing the songs!
Dawayne Bailey, skilled guitarist but not fit for Chicago, maybe for Guns N Roses or Metallica...
I prefer Peter Cetera in The voice
no, Keith Howland isn´t there....thats Dawayne Bailey, but Keith is much better...
Not enough guitar
He did a good job but he's not Peter
Dawayne bailey is better than terry kath
Nobody is better than Terry Kath.
"Keith Howland - guitar"
The guitarist over played and showed the world he was a wanker at that gig
He’s great- jealous?

The guitarist over-played in every song, unnecessary pinch harmonics and whammy bar works!😅
Definitely not as good as they were with Pete Cetera
It's terrible, it's completely deafening how fake the singing is. I like the group Chicago, but this is terrible
Sorry, I'm not so familiar. Is the drummer gay?
