Theme of Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid Integral version)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 сер 2009
- An arranged version of "Theme of Solid Snake" featured in Metal Gear Solid: Integral (not the original version) for the PlayStation. To listen to the tune in the game, you must dial frequency 140.66 on the Codec when you first enter the Canyon (where you fight Vulcan Raven on his tank). To my knowledge, this secret tune is not in the PC version of Integral.
*It’s only when I’m cheating death on the battlefield. The only time I feel truly alive.*
--Solid Snake
Why is it that I find you everywhere friend?
@@theguardian928 we have similar interests ;)
Seeing other people die makes you feel alive huh? You love war and you don't want it to stop?! Is it the same with all great soldiers throughout history?

I thought you died in Zanzibar!
@@lssjgaming1599 Think again
I mean, he appeared in MGS1 as a cool cyborg ninja, then he died
...Frank Jager, but how?...You were wounded in Zanzibar.
RIP Solid Snake :'-(
@H u l k a r o n i & C h e e s e,
Yeah, at least his last moments of life were spent in peace, with Otacon and Sunny by his side.
@H u l k a r o n i & C h e e s e Snake never died.
@@Mateoski97 Off-screen he did :(
@@johnthenoob7 i always thought Revengeance is canon since it takes place a few years after MGS4. and thus continues the story set out by that game (pretty sure it starts in 2015 and ends in 2018)
another possibility is that its in an alternate timeline. so it does and does not happen
Otacon : snake......had a hard life 😢
If they ever remake this..the craziest thing is gonna be still having to hatch an owl egg to trick a guard into thinking its night..and seeing snake fight big boss with hairspray and a lighter in next gen graphics
I love playing this on the iPod during the Metal Gear Rex vs Metal Gear Ray battle in MGS4. Such chills and goosebumps...memories!
The man who makes the impossible, possible
Really awesome, especially so since it fits MGS1's musical aesthetic so much.
I'd love to see Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 get modern day remakes.
Imagine what does two game could look like with the Fox Engine..
Metal Gear Solid 0 since it bridges the gap between big boss and snake also cus Zero and it's the og metal gear games that came b4 all others
@@TylerTheNintendoMaster MGS 5 (I assume that’s what you mean by MGS zero) kinda sucked and no, it’s not the same thing as Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Their stories are totally different.
@@bucknasty69 no I meant that could be the title if they remade it I wasn't talking about 5
@@TylerTheNintendoMaster Ah I apologize. I like your idea!
I can't describe how much I love this...
a young Clint Eastwood with dark blue long bandanna and sneak suit= Solid Snake (David)
actually i think " I Think " He Was Based On Rambo Movie about [sylvester stallone] actor or [arnold sawcharngezerrevzxzdfegerv] actor his name is hard :D
Fox Hound he was actually based off of Kurt Russel's snake pliskin from that movie from the 1980's as well as Sylvester Stallone's Rambo.
If you look at the cheek bone structure, eyebrow and chin placement and his eye color, hands down Solid Snake (young David) he resembles Clint Eastwood when he was young.
young Clint Eastwood = Big Boss (MGS3)
mechaart Believe it or not, the facial appearance of Solid Snake as depicted in Shinkawa's artwork is actually based off Christopher Walken when he was younger. Weird, right?
tbonecase.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/alan_rimell_-_christopher_walken_-_the_deer_hunter.jpg
However I do agree that Naked Snake strongly resembles a young Clint Eastwood, all the way down to the facial expressions.
+Harry Manco Probably based specifically on Walken in Deer Hunter, which makes a little more sense.
SOLID SNAKE ALL THE WAY!!! Just a great remake of a badass song by the people behind the legendary MGS1 soundtrack! I wish i knew where they all went, or if they made any other music similar sounding to the Metal Gear Solid OST.
This should be the song for the Smash Bros. Snake DLC Trailer
Super Super Hero Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely that any MGS character, let alone Snake, is gonna ever be a DLC for SSB4... even though there really should be one.
Smash Ballot my friend!
Jonathan Pinera Is there even a Smash Ballot for him?
Gobi Caeruleus My vote was for him, despite me knowing it was in vain
NextGenVixen Well, you never know, still a better choice than Goku or Shrek......I wish I was joking in saying people voted for them....
One of the best character themes in all of Metal Gear
THEME OF SOLID SNAKE
It was stupid enough to not include MGS1 ON-DISC with the Legacy Collection but that was also a perfect opportunity to put Integral on there since they were aiming to have all the definitive versions of each game in that set.
Dat Konami logic...
What??? Its not on disc?Yeah not getting it now. I have all of those games on disc...only upside is not having to switch consoles between all of them
Why 'port' it to PS3, when you can keep it as a ps1 game?
@@kingnro1 It's not about "porting" it. The legacy collection only has the PSN downloadable version of the original MGS1, it's not included in the collection physically. The PS3 can play PS1 discs no problem, and Integral is not on PSN.
@@5nesta you can buy integral on japanese psn
Yeah it's not "definitive" if you don't have Integral in there, the fact that it was only released for playstation in Japan is stupid
This should have played in the end credits of MGSV!
+TheBarlettan God, I couldn't agree more. I really wanted a MG1/2 remake. Especially 2 since it set everything about Metal Gear that we know today up.
Nah, MGSV doesn't deserve this song
Hell, what if Chapter 3 had ended with either this or the Zanzibar Land Anthem as a teaser?
TheBarlettan Would of fitted so perfectly
+SMAXZO chapter 3 should be ended on outer heaven
Love this theme! Makes me wish there was an MSX HD remake for Metal Gear 1 and 2.
I mean… TECHNICALLY there is. But not in the way you’d want
what does that mean? @@ScorchtheHawk
@@superluigi018 they’re in the Metal Gear Master Collection, which presents them at 1080 iirc. Course, it’s still the MSX versions that were in Subsistence
@@ScorchtheHawk Oh, those were the versions I’ve played. HD collection had them at 1080p too, so it’s not that interesting…
This theme TAKES OFF at 1:42
Such a legend ✝️☮️💟
The Theme of Solid Snake I feel is the strongest and most iconic piece of music in the franchise. Fuck I'm ready to infiltrate anything listening to it with just a pack of smokes and a knife on a moment's notice.
I love how 80s it sounds
Me: Snake
Snake: Huh
Me: What radio station do you listen to when you smoke?
Snake: Frequency 420.00
This might be one of my favourite tracks in the series. I REALLY miss the MGS1 style of compositions - they eventually became a bit forgettable in the latter installments, in my opinion.
You miss the JV Synth.
It's great that artists can produce anything they want with modern sound hardware, but some of the best game soundtracks ever are a product of their audio hardware. It's truly a huge, huge loss.
@@boxenjoyerkona Yes. DX7, SC-55, Korg and JV are huge and unique. It's hard to replicate the feeling.
I thought that this song was from Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
@@chocov1233 This version uses MGS1 style synth instrumentation rather than the original's 16(?) bit, that's probably what they meant
This is Snake
can you hear me?
I'll be back after the Phantom pain.... To kill Big Boss
+Ibrahim Al-askr Venom Snake and Big Boss
When does he say that?
CircaSriYak He doesn't. He is referencing that Solid Snake kills Venom at the end of Metal Gear which is 11 years after the Phantom Pain.
This aged well
Just amazing thx for the upload :)
Suena increíblemente bien!
This is pretty fantastic
They have to remake the original first 2 games before they remake Solid.
Please.
I agree
MG1 takes place in Outer Heaven, and was originally for MSX.
MG2 is Zanzibar Land. It was released for MSX2, but along with the MSX version of MG1, it wasn't released in the states until 2006, on PS2.
Both are also in the MGS HD Collections. :)
I heard colonel reference Zanzibar land in mgs and my first thought was "why does that sound like an amusement park?"
Colonel: "snake, you're a better shot than me! Win me that giant teddy bear!"

Man i love the theme of solid snake,it just ounds so epic, and this remix makes it more awsome.Too bad europe and the USA didn't get to play the 2 original Metal Gears until we got MGS3 Subsitence.
never heard this before, awesome :')
Most awesome sample of Solid Snake EVER!!
Gotta play this baby.
Added this to my cardio playlist, feels epic.
Gotta love this theme... and this franchise as well! ^w^
Best music that I heard. This song also appeared in Super Smash Bros Brawl and I heard this for over 3 hours and this song is in my mind.
I completely agree, the melodic compositional style was almost completely replaced with movie soundtrack -style incidental background tracks that one can't remember after they played.
I like this version a lot, but I think it would have sounded better if the composer had used the choir setting for the last part instead of horns.
Instrument was not designed to be utilized like that; it has a bit of of a slow "attack", which means it fades in to the loudest part of the instrument's sound a bit slowly.
The end result would've been a garbled mess if that instrument was used. And besides, Hideo was one of those people who'd prefer actually utilizing the instruments within the manner that actually fits their sound characteristics.
SomeCallMeJohnny sent me here.
Likewise. Heck, when I first listened to the theme, I immediately tried to find it. Lo and behold, it's right here! (Same thing with the opening to the Mega Man 3 review video, though I couldn't find the remix; could you?)
Nicholas Ten Ton I believe he used a stereo version of the Title theme in his Megaman 3 review, just look up for it on UA-cam and you should find it easily.
+Lite 64 (joão carlos) Thanks so much!
Lite 64 Me too!
This is Snake. I've reached the infiltration point.
Kept us waiting as usual huh Snake .
EPIIICCC OF EPICNESSSSS!!!!

My go to track everyday before I start every patrol, every gym workout and every competition. Tonka tough and sly as a snake.🇺🇸☝️💪
This is pure genius
"Kept you waiting, huh"

Best song next to the original version of this
They're in MGS3 Subsistence(Disk 2), which I should have specified earlier.
I usually find copies at Gamestop for $15, but they're starting to liquidate their PS2 stock, depending on the specific store.
Very true.
About my previous reply, Games on Demand seems to be getting MGS2 & 3 as one download. I'll look more into it later this month.
classic video game music! Snaaaake!
The collection is also on 360 & Vita, though the Vita version doesn't have PW.
However, later this month, they'll release downloads for MGS2 & 3 on PSN/XBL Games on Demand.(Not sure about PW.) MGS3 will probably still have MG1 & 2 as extras, so check it out.
I search: Theme of Solid Snivy and this excelent music from my second favorite saga appeared
Indeed. I renjoyed mgs3 on ps2... couldn't wait hd collection :D
Here's hoping for a Metal Gear & Metal Gear: Solid Snake REMAKE story, with modern gameplay and graphics, but the story from MG and MG2.
Love this! It’s like Metal Gear meets Donkey Kong Country, ESPECIALLY at 1:42
@sonickun95
The version that Brawl has is the MSX2 version. I was referring to this version.
I have plenty of stores that carry used games and consoles around where I live. There's a store nearby that has at least 30 Gamecubes sitting by the register, and they don't let people sell or trade them in because they have so many.
Actually I played MGS1 as a kid and was a hardcore fan ever since, only to realize there were two more games many years later. I guess that makes sense if you were not around in the 80s and were 8-10 years old in the late 90s, that's my case anyway.
@Sarlagon Mgs 1 WAS remade for the gamecube.
This should be like the intro anthem for sports team when the enter the stadium.
This is the music you hear when you are building a startup
Its the secret coded frequency that you need to listen to these songs in the Integral version.
@GuestOfGregoryHouse agreed, this is the best version outside the original that I've heard of this song.
I'd actually like to see Kojima remake Metal Gear 1 and 2 with next gen graphics and music. It would be awesome. Or at least use that theme again somewhere.
Cool .
The one thing on snakes face that will always make me think of him is his twisted grinch looking mouth. It is just badass.
@JohnnyUndaunted i have the bonus cd "special ops"( the one with many vr missions), maybe i will recognize some of the tracks while playing. but thx for info
Impressive Snake
All good thing most come to end
Check the descripton, something nobody does anymore because they're too good for it.
Freaking epic. Damn i've been trying to put together (or find) a guitar tab of this song FOREVER! Seems all i find though when searching for guitar tab or videos for metal gear all i get is the Solid series. I can play the MGS theme...I WANT TO PLAY THE ORIGINALS! Know what i'm saying?
I was referring to this version.
@TheEndlessWarlock oh lol, thx for the info
@sam4061 That was Metal Gear SOLID 1, Metal Gear 1 and 2 came before Metal Gear Solid, that's why I wish those two would be remade as they seem to be a forgotten part of the Metal Gear franchise :(
@Sarlagon Metal Gear 2 wasnt released outside of Japan for a long time so even the "oldies" didnt experience that unless they were Japanese. Even Metal Gear was changed when it was ported to the Nes, so really MG and MG2 were probably fully experienced when Snake eater came out. Also technically speaking, even though this isnt what you probably mean, the versions on Snake eater were remakes.
was it Zappy on drums? the masterminds behind MGS OST can make 8bit music into orchestrated beautiful music!
Someone needs to get the sound font for these midi's id love to hear some crazy PSX remixes with the MGS Soundfont.
this theme sounds very scientific, kind of how solid snake, as a clone, was made in a laboratory
@DreamKing2 I've known about the 2D remakes of the Snake Eater special edition, but I believe full revamped 3D remakes should be in order :P
Needs to be longer!
OMg yes!!!!
This is an awesome Metal Gear theme for the legendary soldier named Solid Snake
ALL RIGHT, METAL GEAR!!!
They seriously need to revive this theme. Kojima? Get making a game set in Zanzibar land. Young Snake with this theme brought up to date with the help of Harry Gregson-Williams would be amazing
*zanzibar?*
oh wow I didn't knew that *.*
Another music that i don't know as a secret in MGS1!!
@Schalke234 By Intergral, He means the Japanese version of MGS for the playstation, not The Computer Version.
Hey everyone, i need to know, where can i find a FULL and COMPLETE version of MGS1 soundtrack? i also want to include the integral remixes too, but i have no idea how many there are. PLEASE someone help me out... i can only find mgs info at the most
leaving a reply because I want to know too
INTEGRAL music was actually never released in the OST.
I know.....thats why i'm trying to make my own complete mgs1 music collection
From what I've seen, there are 19 music tracks considered to be unused that are used in the Integral version.
True, but in Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake was release on MSX only in Japan.
Yeah, HD re-release also release for PS Vita. The PS Vita version re-release is for MGS2 and MGS3, they didn't remake MGS Peace Walker. I believe that Peace Walker remake is only on PS3 and Xbox 360. Is sure been 5 months.
True, but I wish this game will release in USA version. Metal Gear Solid was release for Play Station, is sequel to Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake, but in USA version that release it was Snake's Revenge(not Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake) for NES.
Metal Gear 1 and 2 need to be remade. Only the oldies have experienced the ordeals between Solid Snake and Big Boss. :'(
My my my, what a handsome man you are.
MSF soldier Alligator He’s dead now
@msxmen I am of course talking about back then. Unless you are speaking of yourself on which I stand corrected. If you had one of those back in the 80's and you didnt live in Japan you must be from Europe then. But I do know that MG2 wasnt released outside of Japan though so the only way you could have played that is if you imported...
I meant this version of the track. I know about the one that was used, from the MSX game.
Thank you for these high quality "Metal Gear Solid Integral version" videos. Available only in the Japanese Integral PSX version of the game through secret codec calls... damn that's pretty rare to hear. How did you record it so well? Was it straight from a PSX or through an emulator? Which emu in that case?
+WAZAAAAA0 The PC port is an english version of integral, so he might've got it from there
+jackoneill45 "To my knowledge, this secret tune is not in the PC version of Integral."
Which is true, because I tried that on my PC, and it didn't work.
Sadly MGS5 Ended on such a low note
:( We waited 5 years too.
I really question what Kojima was doing for 5 years
If the conflict with Konami didn't happen, the 3rd chapter in the game might've been made and we would've have a decent conclusion. Now, it doesn't seem like we're gonna get anything MGS related for a long while...
***** It's not entirely Konami's fault, sadly.
The average time to make a game is 2 to 3 years with a $30 million budget.
Kojima had over $80 million and 5 years.
Even without content cuts, Kojima really dropped the ball with the story in MGSV in general. Even the story that is there is just awful
***** Problem for me was the game was Too Big with nothing interesting in the middle. All MGS games were interesting because there was something new along the way. In MGS 5 for hours you looked at the same desert griding to the next story point.
Chriss RE Yep. Hey, it did wanted Kojima wanted, which was to appeal to the mainstream audience and make a crap ton of $$$
He worked on 2,3 and Some of the Soundtrack of 4
Damn, annoyed I missed this easter egg
