Marvel Legends have produced action figures of numerous Spider-Man (spiderman spider man) villains over the years. But the greatest era of the Marvel Comic book was when Stan Lee and Steve Ditko first originated Spider-Man. The creativity in bringing villains like Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Vulture, Sandman, Electro and the Lizard to life was unbelievable. Hasbro and Toy Biz have provided us with toys of these great characters. In this video we begin a journey through all the Spider-Man Villain action figures made to date. I go through the best of my collection of action figures and try to replicate famous scenes from the comics with these toys. Come along for the ride!

Wow! What a great video! This one is going on my FB wall!!! Nicely done!!! ... keep spreading the Ditko love!!!
Thank you, Mark! I am very proud you approve!
@@CarbonScoring Hey, I'm a new collector getting in to Marvel legends (Spider-Man in particular), and so far I only have Spidey. Do you have any recommendations for a good start that's under $50 usd?
I like your videos because you are a happy collector. There are many channels by collectors who seem to be constantly irked or angry at toy companies, like their hobby is a bothersome chore (I don't get it). Keep up the good work!
I am glad that you can see that. I’m not naive - these things can be expensive and occasionally frustrating to find, but the joy is in the memories that create and remind us of. I’m glad you enjoy these videos as well!
Yeah retro blasting, Anthony customs, talker art🤷♂️ and retro blasting makes me feel like a peace of crap cause I like Marvel Legends, star wars black and NECA🤷♂️🤦♂️
Check out David Displays Model Behaviour or Displaying Model Behaviour if you like a happy seeming person, he is pretty friendly seeming and positive.
@@loganxdanstoys5487 I don't think Retroblasting wants to make you feel bad, but to try to complain to make people take necessary actions to pressure and force companies to change so that things can become even better for collectors, rather than reducing quality in some respects, giving less, and charging more, its consumer advocacy and protest, but all things like that can also be depressing.
@@loganxdanstoys5487i mean tbf to anthonyscustoms he's not making collectors feel like crap. He's a reviewer so he's gonna look at some of bad. Turns out recent legends have alot of bad. For $30 figures they really don't stack up to the price
Ditko’s later issues were some of his best work on Spidey! But my favorite artist will always be John Romita! Respect to Ditko for helping create my favorite character!!
Spot on!
Huge respect to you for giving Steve Ditko the creator credit he deserves.
I'm ride or die with Ditko!
Yep, Stan Lee was kind of a jerk. The Mark Zuckerberg of comics.
Liked..as a small boy my loving Dad always bought comics for me even when i was not able to appreciate them fully yet..but Spidey is always my favorite..and yes in the late 70s early 80s comic stands and shops are everywhere..5 bucks can get u around 8 to 10 books. What a time..Ditko deserves all the respects for making Spiderman as appealing as Stan's original ideas.🤗
Great comment! I am glad I could inspire some of that nostalgia for you!
@@CarbonScoring it's all great..but my dad my own Stan Lee hv departed in 2018. I am always in tears when i look at my comics and figures collection remembering him.
Carbon: Spider-Man has the greatest rogues gallery
Batman: Hold my beer
I hear ya, but...nah!
I loved this video overall, it feels like an action figure and comic retrospective combined. The Ditko era has always been one of my favorite spidey era's. As a matter fact I grew up on reprints of Amazing Fantasy through ASM #10 so I have strong feelings for this era in particular. This era certainly needs to be talked about more since nowadays hear more people discuss from around ASM #121 through the 90s more but like you stated in this video the Ditko era has some spectacular moments. On the action figure perspective it's always been my dream to have a spidey shelf decorated by era so characters like The enforcers, crime master, living brain, and spider slayer Jameson are ones I've wanted for a while. Can't wait to see this series continue since the Romita era contains some great stuff too! 👍
Thanks for picking up on what I’m trying to accomplish. I love action figure review videos, but I’m trying to bring something different to the table
9:45 SPIDEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!
I feel both spiderman & BATMAN have the greatest rogues gallery 😏
I think The Looter and Crime Master are really underrated villains.
Any Ditko villain is gonna be tops for me!
@@CarbonScoring Very fair!
Mezco has a sweet looking Green Goblin due to drop sometime this year. That one looks like it will be the best Green Goblin.
Great video! There was one small error. The corner box is in the upper LEFT corner of the covers, not the right.
Thanks - sometimes my mouth gets ahead of my brain! That, or I don't know the difference between right and left - either one is possible!
This was so cool I want more of these
Well, the good news is that this is the first in a series of Spider-Man history videos - check out the playlist on the Carbon Scoring home page for more!!!
Fantastic video. I can’t believe I am just finding your channel but I am also grateful that I have a bunch of your videos to catch up on. I listened to the Spiderman rock opera record over and over as a child. Making me a lifelong Spiderman fanatic.
That is fabulous! Glad to have you as a part of the channel - we have big things planned moving forward - spread the word!
@@CarbonScoring shall do. Did you have The Amazing Spiderman Rockomic record as a child? We had the old cartoon from the 60s and Spidey on the Electric Company but those years before Spiderman and His Amazing Friends all I had was that record with the pictures. I turned 10 in 1980 and then had comic books of course.
Am I the only one that prefers the original Hasbro Mysterio over the retro card? the gold boots and gloves look great as well as the paint wash on the green, but the cape is red, and the green is too light (imo) not to mention the lime green boots and gloves in contrast with the purple cape and translucent head definitely capture Ditko's design much better! Great video btw I loved it.
You might be…😂
I love recreating art work with the figures too. And man you deserve so more views
I’m just gonna keep grinding and producing the best content I can about stuff I’m passionate about - hopefully the views will come!
The first vid from your channel that I have seen so far, and I'm immediately subbed! The balance between well-researched and entertaining content is just amazing. And of course, I just love the use of Marvel Legends as a sort of storytelling medium. Great work Man keep it up! ❤
Thank you very much and I am so glad to have you on board. It really means a lot when a viewer gets what I am trying to do! Hopefully you have enjoyed even more videos - I promise I have more great stuff coming!
I want so many of these figures - want to make a Sinister...well, more than Six, anyway - a Rogues' Gallery shelf in which I can include these villains attacking my Mafex Spidey!
Indeed! That MAFEX is perfect for those kinds of scenes
BTW, the scene of Peter's mask being half-reflected in a pool of water and him lifting debris off him [when he was in the Vulture's lair from "Spider-Man: Homecoming") was a direct homage to issue #33, but you probably were aware of that already.
Really, one of the most referenced scenes in all of comics history and for good reason. Great pick up!
I wish Spider-Man comics were rebooted in 2022 and children can enjoy the REAL Spider-Man, apart from the screen
Well, that is kinda what happened in 2000 with Ultimate Spider-Man!
Phenomenal video! Absolutely essential viewing for me for without the foundational design work of the Marvel Founding Fathers there would be no Marvel Legends. The ToyBiz Goblin is fab, hes my favourite
rendition as well and as for the Enforcers? So envious of you.
May I be so bold as to suggest that you have taken the very words of the Merry Marvel Marching Society Song, deep into your heart.
Strive to be ambitious
Speak a little wiser
Try to be judicious
Be a good adviser
Never, ever vicious
All attributes you communicate and imbue.
Best wishes and have a lovely weekend.
I don't think thank you is enough, so please know that the next time I am struggling with a video idea, or my back hurts from spending hours at a desk editing or I get frustrated that my videos aren't "viral successes" - I will remember this comment...and smile!
Let’s go
I know right!
Yeah
My top 5 favorite villains:
1.Doc Ock
2.Green goblin
3.Mysterio
4.Venom
5.Rhino
Great choices. As I mentioned I always thought of Ock as a joke when I was reading as a kid in the 80's, but clearly Ditko felt differently. Then Dan Slott did the impossible by making Superior Spider-Man a must read book. And, hey, I feel pretty confident that your #4 and #5 picks are going to be featured prominently as this series goes on
I had a Molten Man figure, it was a mail in from Toyfare magazine. It wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't horrible either.
Yes, I have that one too. He is on display with my 5 inch Spidey figs. Pretty sure I single him out in my video on my complete Spidey Collection - check it out when you get a chance. Plus, don’t you miss Toy Fare….
Great video to match with the figures.
We need more videos lile this rich of information and the displays are amazing
Glad you enjoyed it - volume 3 is about to come out!!!
A Lot of work on this video, thank you is a knowledge Master piece!
So glad you enjoyed it - I love sharing all that comic history
What a great video, i agree it is a shame we have had no figures of the enforcers hope they address that someday soon.
I would so love that! Thanks for watching!
Pumping out quality vids as always
Grindin' baby!
Am I the only. Who. thinks a. Custom Keaton Vulture. With. A spectacular. . Spider-Man style.look would. Be a sick. Custom. Action. Figure I think. that. Would. Be awesome. Especial. With. The. Giant. Wings. And. The. Black and red instead. Of. Green.
thank you for this ❤
You're welcome 😊

There’s an in-between: good, bad, and innocently wrong. 😅
cool video
Haha! Peter Palmer! great review of the Lee -Ditko run sir!!
Yep - he did it twice in that issue
@Jason P ding-ding-ding!!!
0:02 WROOONG!
This is not a matter of opinion. This is an established fact! I’ll take all comers - who you gonna throw at me? Bat-Man? X-Men? Bring it on!!!😂😂😂
@@CarbonScoring Batman has the definite best rogues gallery of any character because even though spiderman’s villains are powerful and awesome, Batman’s villains are just more dangerous because they are pretty much all criminally insane. The two rogues gallery’s would be pretty much tied but the joker and mr freeze tip it in Batman’s favor.
@@captainrex3954 naaaahhhh.
@@CarbonScoring explain why Spider-Man’s is better than
@@captainrex3954 I mean this is all a matter of opinion and in good fun. Bat-Man and Spider-Man have the best villains with maybe the Flash in third. I think the fact that many of Bat-Man's villains are insane while many of Spider-Man's villains are green and named for animals is a strike against both. I'll grant you that the Joker is better than Spidey's best villain, but I think the depth of Spidey's rogues gallery wins the day. At the end of the day, I just like Spidey better. But if you are interested in a video going through all of Bat-Mans villains, let me know - I'd love to work on that!
Wow this is really informative. Great video!
Check out the other episodes in this series if you haven’t already - I think each one gets better than the last
i love you carbon acoring
We love you too!
LEGENDARY!!! I LOVE CARNAGE I GOT A TATTOO OF HIM!!! LOVE TO EVERYBODY IN THE ENTIRE EXISTENCE!!! I AM THE GREATEST MUSIC ARTIST OF ALL TIME!!! THANK YOU GOD AND THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!!
Very informative video!
Glad you liked it
I seen you ended up getting a spidey slayer with JJ on it like ASM 25. Where did you get it. Who was the custom maker?
Here is everything about that figure! ua-cam.com/video/UxCiRJjTsNI/v-deo.html
The Kraven’s Last Hunt two pack always bugged me. Spidey’s fine. The eyes are two big for that particular era of the costume, but whatever. It’s Kraven that gets me. He’s just in his classic costume, which he doesn’t really wear in the story. Hell, he doesn’t even wear PANTS! Just a loincloth and the vest. Hasbro could release a classic Kraven basically whenever, the pantsless version had one shot.
I hear ya - lots of opportunities there
Dude I want to meet you so bad I just wanna sit down and geek out about comics with ya
Amazing channel. Just found you and love these custom enforcers and crime master. Any chance they are for sale or direct me to the maker ?
Glad you are here! I have built a library of content to check out! Those Enforcers were purchased off eBay over 10 years ago, so I have no idea how to even direct you at this point. Welcome aboard!
Love the content,keep it up
I am really proud of this playlist!
Im so glad you remembered that they got Peter's surname wrong haha
Good ole Stan Lee...
Awesome bro 🔥
much appreciated - you are gonna wanna stick around to see where this series goes!
peter palmer nice.
Good ole Stan...
I got almost all those figures already
That is awesome - great collection!
You're an underreated channel. I just found your channel today.
Awesome - glad to have you along for the ride! Keep watching!
Great vid again happy to watch vids like this
I think they did the sand man legend so nicely
1: kraven
2:green goblin
3: doc ock
4:sand-man
5:mysterio
Then, I'll keep them coming!
Agree. I need to find his regular head at some point - not sure which mystery box that ended up in...
OK, I like it - but, why Kraven?
Goblin
The enforcers were in the spectacular spider man show right?
Yes! Because Spectacular Spider-Man is the greatest Spidey cartoon EVER!!!!
@@CarbonScoring yeah it’s a shame there isn’t a season 3
I never heard of the beatle
I’m pretty sure that this guy likes Spider-Man but it’s just a hunch.
What was your first clue?😂
@CarbonScoring well it’s a mix of how passionately you talk about the art and also your collection is something that you should be proud of because that’s at least 40 years of SPECTACULAR (get it?) Spidey figures.
Any chance you would sell the enforcers . Willing to pay ….$$$$
God you make good vids
High praise. Much appreciated
Amazing video
Pun intended
I was going for Spectacular, but thanks! 😂😂😂
Hasbro made frog man and white rabbit the tinkerer isn't far off🤷♂️
Right!?! After those two, anything is possible!!!
Haha definitely after them there are so many that I could think of, there is a huge list of just more obscure spidey villains I would love to get someday. Kangaroo, Colonel Jupiter or Man Wolf, Tarantula, Grizzly , Big Wheel, Rose , Slyde, The Spot, Sin Eater, Stergron, Shriek, Mr Negative, Overdrive, Swarm, Vermin, and Carrion just to name a few.
@@peterparker3839 so we do have versions of Man Wolf and Tarantula that will be coming up soon, but certainly both need and update!
I dont have any of those cool figures 😢😢😢😢😭😭😭
Keep looking, they are out there!
we ok
Indeed we are!
Skinny spidey is best spidey
I'm with you on that!
I know someone me
Stan Lee is better
