I like it! However, as posed by @mdbrynteson, Is the body sitting on the tires--what determines the body height from the ground or surface of the soldering block? Not clear in the video... Also, perhaps 2 layers of 1/8 in acrylic could be super-glued together, if there is an abundance of that cheaper(?) material...???
This is a good idea. I have the soldering pins but if you used .063 piano wire pins, the pin hole field could be more concentrated & spaced closer together. Is the 1/4" thick material being tried to make the plates stronger & less prone to any warping, or is it being tried to allow clearance of larger diameter tires? MDF is manufactured flat, but it needs to be sealed to keep out moisture, or else it warps easily. I'll be interested in hearing any mods suggested by Dave & Harry.
Ride height, body mounting is by far my biggest challenge. This will be perfect Jorge. Im all over this as soon as its available. Thank you for once again helping the slot car community. 🫡
