ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Yea it always pretty cool to watch a UA-camrs grow but it's also annoying to see them develop a fan base full of annoying people and very young kids but you don't see that happen often or even at all in asmr

Still come back to videos like this over 5 years later. Out of every ASMRtist I have ever listened to over the past 7 years, Dimitri is the only one who could actually label something as "mastercrafted". His work is still among the best to this day. Sure, there are many great ASMRtists today, but it is very difficult to say their ASMR is as viewer-focused as Dimitri's. Thank you very much for your devotion!
You should do a series called like fan tingles or something where fans can send you objects that tingle them and you make like a collage of all the ones you got that month.

I stumbled upon a gold mine here! I started the night searching UA-cam for info on snapping turtles, then somehow wound up on Adolf Hitler, and then stumbled on this ASMR stuff, lol. I never heard of this stuff before, but I'm hooked!! I got some serious goosebumps going on!

Let me tell you something, I haven't been sleeping for 4 nights, because I am ill, I have an infection in my neck. Every night, I was wondering what to do, I was tired and angry (I was absolutely tired but could not fall asleep). Then you came on my mind and I played your multilayered video and fell asleep in 15 mins. Asmr seems to be very powerfull, when artist is a master in it :) thank you much Dmitri

At the start I was finding it nice but fairly pedestrian, and then suddenly it hit an entirely different gear - like the tapping and drumming got into this rhythm not entirely dissimilar to ocean waves roaring from ear to ear - and I utterly melted. I hope you appreciate how hard it is for a puddle to type this comment ;) Great work Dmitri, that master title is well earned.

I've been a subscriber for a while and holy crap, you have a Soundcloud channel! I kept wondering, "this would be so amazing as an audio only experience." For me it allows the imagination to run wild because I can't perceive what's making the sound. For all I know it could be a Unicorn shuffling on a yellow brick road while wearing plastic sandwich bags over its hooves and simultaneously chewing on kale flavored diamond encrusted hay while a leprechaun gently whispers randomness. Yea...awesome! New level of asmr reached for me. boom!

Hi Dmitri! I have been following you for awhile! Love your videos. Today I was listening to some new ones....then went back and listened to some old favorites from earlier on in your "career". The audio in the latest ones is significantly improved. While I love them all, the earlier ones had background noise that is more noticeable to me now. You continue to improve your videos and your dedication shows!

It's crazy to listen to this again because I used to get mega tingles off of this video ( so much so that I couldn't watch the whole thing because it was so intense) but now I don't get tingles from asmr anymore. I love this video still, though. It's so cool to listen to.
This was like one of those music loop videos where you see each layer being added and repeated until it becomes a song, Mike Oldfield style. Maybe you could try that sometime. Not a song, just layers of beats via different tapping.
Nice work! I liked the multiple layers, and how you combine whispering with tapping. My favorite object was the wooden vase thing 11:15-12:30.

Found asmr after liking the sounds from bf vs gf I do my boyfriends makeup tag I liked the sounds of the brushes so I looked up brush massage and I found this channel and its been about a year since then

That white noise comes from your bad soundcard/amplifier/headphones. The video is just fine for me even on high volumes.

This is probably one of my favorite videos and I don't know how many times Ive fallen asleep to it XD. I think that my favorite part are the lower tones and more bass tapping.
