Hey Techne. I've just bought one of these. I really like them. The sound is amazing. I didn't know that my favourite fps had so many other sounds and directions in it! They're as comfortable as anything... maybe just a little heavy. I have no issues with volume. I adjust the volume on my PS console and I get more than enough bass and treble and loud enough. On PC, perfect. No issues. I even played music from my PC and although I agree a little on the volume, it's a comfortable sound across the range. I haven't tried off my phone yet. But I'd definitely recommend this to anybody who wants a comfortable set to wear, good clear sound across the range and a nice mic. I just had to find a comfortable distance between my mouth and the mic. Otherwise my breathing is evident. But fixed that easily. And would have been nice with a foam cover on the mic and some side sound. That's the most irritating problem.
I have them and I do like them. Sharp highs are because of 7.1, weird sound is because of EQ so not use it. For this price they are ok, love the wireless part. The wired counterpart are also nice, but I wanted wireless for mixed work/gaming so these deliver.
I have this headset and I love it. I keep the EQ completely flat in the software as any adjustment completely ruins the audio quality. Try use them with 3.5mm as that is when you get 15Hz-25kHz and will give you a good indication of the driver quality. Otherwise it's only 20Hz-20kHz in wireless mode. I think you should give this headset another shot as the software sucks and causes extremely poor audio when you hold in the 7.1 button for some reason. Biggest (and only imho) weak point is the bad software.
@@tokyo1937 I would say somewhere in the middle from what I can recall - not tight or too loose. I am using an H3Pro Hybrid now as the MH670's physically broke on the headband.
Hey Techne, the MH670 comes as the gaming bass sound profile as the default, which is crappy. Have you tried setting the equalizer on stereo, everything flat at the middle including treble and bass? It actually worked like a charm for me, and it was better than MH630's sound. But it might be personal preference, either.
i am going to buy these, saw some other reviewer with no problems, im happy u guys didnt have probelms as well, watching this review after ordering made me a little scared
thank you for showing your EQ settings, and the long mic test. Convinced me that the mic is really noticeably better than the HS70 i was considering. And because you showed the EQ settings I was able to verify that your sound problems were entirely user error, and i could buy with convidence. The fact that you loved the same drivers without a messed up EQ on the 630 had already raised that suspicion but seeing high bands and treble cranked while complaining about treble really secured that.
For those who saw this, I ended up buying these, the sound quality is pretty good, they are a bit overly warm, with slightly suppressed highs and mids. Little warm but not complete fart cannons like some gaming headsets. The eq however is quite touchy and distorts fast if you haphazardly start cranking settings, I recommend using it for slight adjustments to the default sound (I have base and trebble one notch up from base)
@@TheDacane How is the headset? Is it comfy? (I mostly have a problem when headsets don't have deep enough earpads and my ears touch the drivers and it hurts). This has everything, wireless, wired, 7.1, detachable mic and cable and apparently comfortable. For some reason the mic sounds a bit bad in this review tho the MH650's and MH630's sound better (they are the same headsets I guess). Would you recommend these over something like the MH752's, Logitech G pro's or HyperX Cloud 2's?
@@ElectroBytezLV the mic is worlds better than the wired clouds I've been using for years and had loved. It's comparable in comfort to a stock cloud, I don't think depth is an issue, but he warned the cups are just enough smaller than cloud and similar ones that most aftermarket earpads won't fit. So for now I'm stuck with stock pleather. Sounds quality is not quite as crisp as clouds, but good for a gaming based headset. I understand the mic is better when plugged in, it has to due with mic bandwidth, but the mic in wireless mode is still quite good.
@@TheDacane so do you recommend these over every other 100$ competitor like cloud 2, mh752 an g pros? I don't care about the wireless aspect I would use them wired all the time, this headset is just comfy and has all features. Problem is I kinda feel like the external sound card for the cloud 2's and mh752's is better cuz u can adjust mic volume, volume, mic mute switch.
@@ElectroBytezLV probably not over wired headsets in the range. If you don't want to use the wireless I suspect you can do better for the price. I'm just not sure what that right be.
I'm not sure I'm really sold on his "Nope" of this headset. I was never a fan of the channel anyways, just had to check since it was the only negative review I could have found. Again, not sold on his "Nope" and its not because of all the other reviews. The sound demo from Z reviews presented how it is. The "7.1" is very drastically more harsher on the treble and high-end, but Techne did not make any statement behind this and his "discomfort" towards its sound signature. Nor did he make any statement behind the beeping when changing modes. Neither did he cover the drastic change based on the default settings and the default 7.1 mode. If anything he could have just been baiting for clicks by explicitly saying "Nope" on his title, since there were so many positive reviews on it. Why? Because it worked on me, a person who have previously already seen and disliked his content, to click on it. I had to be informed so I had to hear out the only negative review on it, and honestly I was disappointed on his review of the MH670. Its shallow but he tried to justify is his "nope" by telling us to trust him (which I don't) that he tried his best to like it. Note: No one really looks at specs and says "Wow this should sound really good". Its all in the built-in DACs which don't really get shown in spec sheets. The only spec that might be of interest is if hit has hi-fi or 5-40Khz range, and even then you don't go on and say "Damn this should sound nice". EDIT: I bought them and the high's were not harsh AT ALL. If anything the bass here is quite noticeable, granted this from someone using the Arctis 5 previously. The Cloud 2 and Alpha have good low-end, but the MH670 wins out in just pure bass boom. Comfort wise, nothing beats the headband design of the Arctis, but the clamping force here is just right. Clouds had a bit too much clamp in my opinion, the Arctis had minimal (easy to shake off, but SUPER comfy), and the MH670 is just the right amount. Not easy to shake off, and not enough to cause discomfort. The padding on the top, you start to feel it after a while, in a bad way. A bit disappointing since these are wireless and I like wearing them around.
When you say that they become uncomfortable in a bad way, in what way exactly? I'm a real stickler for a bargain and have been eyeing these up for a while but I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews. Are these still intact? I see a lot of people saying they break eventually due to the plastic connectors on the cups. Cheers

Let's try find any other wireless headset with that price to compare. I think it's really a good product. Considering it's wireless of course the sound ad mic will be different than wired one. But it think it's worth it.
Hey Techne don't use cooler master software in adjusting equalizer because it will just mess up the sound whatever you do. I researched and if u want to adjust equalizer you must use the windows equalizer and not the the cm software

Worst part about Cooler Master headsets are that you can't get replacement earcups. That's the most common thing I see on internet forums asking if they should get it. For the price, other major brands all have super affordable earcup replacements. I think that's the biggest thing to consider when buying CM headsets. If there is a replacement cup that's compatible with CM headsets, I think that's a good video idea for you cause everyone is looking for it
MH752 owner here. You can actually replace the earpads. The only thing getting between you and replacing it is the ring and the glue. Earpads comes of easily from the earcup. The hard part is getting the ring seperated from the earpad. Other than that specifically for my headset anything compatible with the HyperX cloud or Takstar Pro82 will work like the Brainwavz Cooling gel earpads.

Hey, Mr.Techne I was wondering what is the best 60% keyboard for around 80-150$ that you would recommend for me. I would mostly use it for gaming im in the market for a good quality keyboard with fast speeds.
I want to see a wireless 10gram mm420 mouse in white with a ganjaleaf that glows in the dark and u can transform it to a bong while having a pause between the games
I've seen other viewer said that we must reset the sound at the software to have better quality of sound. Can you try that way and give the comment..? Thanks
This actually sound good. Unlike the HS80 Corsair, which are absolute trash. The CM software is bad though, so maybe something in your config was wrong.
I'm very picky when it comes to headphones comfort and I have tried many headphones, wireless and wired and the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn are the HyperX Cloud Flight (swapped earpads to Brainwavs suede with cooling gel)
So for my xbox I'd want to change the settings on these instead of using them out of the box...and how would I go about that, just download an app and do it on a computer?
I’d love to see your opinion on the G933 or G633 I play a lot of shooters, Rust/Rogue Company/CoD to name a few and the surround sound on these two headsets are by far the best I’ve ever had, especially a game like Rust where sound is everything, I know you’re not a fan of SS but I’d like to see what you think of em:) love your vids!
Did not install the software, usually, they are ... bad. The overly sharp highs are when activating the silly 7.1 (in stereo headphones?!) mode. So just long-press the 7.1 button to return to the "normal" duller mode. Again, forget the software. There is an EQ option in Windows audio settings, may use that for further tuning. However, noticed that also with Windows, when fiddling with the EQ, there is weird behavior, similar to what is described in the video. So again, reset EQ, disable and ... forget about it. Plugging in the jack disconnects the rest because it uses a switch to break the other circuits. This is by design and I doubt there is anything to be done about it.
As usual. I came for the guy, not for the product. Why? Because you are so fantastic! As for the product, well, you already said nope in the title so I knew I didn't have to really watch it lol. Plus, I'm on Linux now so I don't have many options for the peripherals I buy if I prefer them to be driverless :P
great work, can you review the regular Blackwidow V3 or the Blackwidow V3 TKL? im pretty sure its a downgrade compared to previous blackwidow keyboards but still wants to know ur opinions on it.
If this thing was actually above $100 it would be a hard pass. But it's about $67 in my country, quite a deal if you ask me and I'm not much of an audiophile
What about the MH650? I watched your MH630 test and you like that headset, but you didnt like this. And I didn't find your MH650 test. Because I want the MH650 but I'n not so sure about that after this vid:/
I need help go choose a bydget wireless headset. the options are mh670 ($70), hyperx cloud stinger core($70), corsair hs70 ($100), arctis 1 wireless ($115). price is based on my country. Any opinion on which one to choose?
I would like to see these mic test with background noise testing .. I think a Cherry MX Blue would be a good test to see how much sound it picks up. im having such a hard time finding a good headset with a decent mic that doesnt completely picks up everything that i am typing
Cooler master went from to a great and comfy headset with good mic (mh751/752) to this disaster. They should have just modified the 751 with new drivers and better metallic hinges that hold the "driver units".
Maybe this headset is for me i guess, because when i use arctis 1 wired/wireless,cloud flight the bass is too much, i have to change the earpad to velour and the sound is good now.
I think the reason yours sounded bad is because the stock EQ is bad you have to use a seperate EQ software to make them sound good after I did that they sounded great the one I use is called PC Equalizer.
hahaha I was waiting for the review for a long time so I got bored and ordered it and it came yesterday, I think it's pretty much good! hey, techne have you tried to hold the 7.1 button? believe me, I know it's weird but that's how the headset activates or deactivates the 7.1 surround sound haha, the headset has 2 modes: 1- sharp as shit (7.1) 2- soft (without activating 7.1), I honestly prefer the sharp as shit one because the difference between them is huge, the 7.1 sounds like "WHERE ARE THE ENEMIES !! WANT ME TO SPOT THEM AND KILL THEM?" and the soft one is... come on from its name "soft" I don't know why but the 7.1 sounds a lot higher than the soft one? and that is what made me prefer the 7.1 mode more. anyways, yeah maybe the headset has some minor flaws but overall I don't think it's that bad actually! I don't know maybe I'm wrong, I've only tried it for a day and you tried it for a while I don't know anyway I hope you have the greatest day ever! you're the best reviewer of all time! edit: after using it for about 4-5 days I think Techne is right.. I've noticed that the headset didn't pass the STINKIN' COZY test. it's way too small "for the people who have a huge head just like mine" "and big ears just like mine too" and it's so annoying, everytime I turn my head just an inch it makes a loud noticeable tapping voice and it's sooo ANNNYYYOOINNNG. I tried to ignore it at the beginning but I think I might get a refund cuz I'm starting to hate it, and I think techne was also right about the sound of the headset haha but I still think that the headset isn't THAT bad as techne said but .. the problem is.. I want a wireless headset that's affordable that sounds not that bad and pretty stinkn' cozy but I can't fricking find a good one, am I asking too much? maybe I'm gonna update the situation in the near future idk
With the 9xs how do you use them with just Bluetooth because I will turn them on and they will turn my Xbox on and if I turn my Xbox off they will turn it back on
they are ok. Im not a reviewer but i see much positive things about my mh670 too. but dont listen to me this guy is a reviewer just leaving my opinion.

Hey, Mr.Techne I was wondering what is the best 60% keyboard for around 80-150$ that you would recommend for me. I would mostly use it for gaming im in the market for a good quality keyboard with fast speeds.
@@adithyasrisai1717 Thanks dude im thinking of geting gk61 with optical yellow
Keychron k3 high quality rgb
ngl HyperX CloudStingers are great for 50$ (30$ rn) a cool feature is that when the mic goes up it mutes and the headphones can fold
Stinking amazing review just as you say!
Will you be reviewing the new Bose QC35ii gaming headset?
planning on it
you should do a reacting to viewers set ups or setup wars
Yes

Yes
already been done too many times.
@Strafe Logitech G502 hero with Epomaker SK64S in whatever colourway you want. The Panda colour with the Black switches is sold out tho.
I have been watching the v3, but currently only green switches. I want it with yellows
If this thing was actually above $100 it would be a hard pass. But it's about $67 in my country, quite a deal if you ask me and I'm not much of an audiophile
Takstar gm200. They look similar to the mh751 and same comfort. But with more bass
I just posted a comment on your ducky 1 2 mini review I was asking how long did it take to come because I want order one.
if it's not pre- order usually a week or two
What about the MH650?
I watched your MH630 test and you like that headset, but you didnt like this. And I didn't find your MH650 test.
Because I want the MH650 but I'n not so sure about that after this vid:/
5:17 I like that Christmas too LUL
lol
bad review talking to much just get to it
Please2x do a review of MH630 VS MH650. PHULEAZEEEEE!

Hi techno! Which headset is better overall, The razor kraken x or roccat elo stereo x?
*100K SUBS* ! Let’s go ! congrats !!
thank you so much
I need help go choose a bydget wireless headset. the options are mh670 ($70), hyperx cloud stinger core($70), corsair hs70 ($100), arctis 1 wireless ($115). price is based on my country.
Any opinion on which one to choose?
Which one to choose?
I would like to see these mic test with background noise testing .. I think a Cherry MX Blue would be a good test to see how much sound it picks up. im having such a hard time finding a good headset with a decent mic that doesnt completely picks up everything that i am typing
So I guess I should get JBL 600 Quantum instead of these? They are both wireless and in the same price range..
hey techne! Is it possible if you can review the new wireless glorious model o?
I have it ordered
i need to know, so i should buy them?
love your vids. Can you suggest me a headphone under $50 focus on competitive fps games like siege where vertical sounds are also very important.
100k finally u deserve it
thank you so much
You should do a model o wireless video and hopefully you like it better
Does sound differ between devices? Bluetooth and wired?
7:36 LOLL
Cooler master went from to a great and comfy headset with good mic (mh751/752) to this disaster. They should have just modified the 751 with new drivers and better metallic hinges that hold the "driver units".
This mh670 sounds is bad for you ? have you buy it ?
I just cancelled my order for these mh670s. Thanks man, will try to get an arctis 7 instead.
check out the new 7x / 7p video I just posted
compares to mh752, which is better?
Maybe this headset is for me i guess, because when i use arctis 1 wired/wireless,cloud flight the bass is too much, i have to change the earpad to velour and the sound is good now.
Kinda sad about my purchase of these. I've only had them for about 2.5 years and the microphone started having connectivity issues about 6 months ago.
Any quest , whos better , this headsets ( MH670 ) ir Logitech g pro x wireless ?
does the mh670's mic(used wired) sound the same as the 630 ou 650???
Please do a drop keyboard video, I recommend the ctrl
I have one recorded, just need to edit it :)
@@TheTechne let’s go, I can’t wait
Damn you actually have every freaking headset hahaha
many more to come, lol
I have never been this early to a techne vid :)
Same
Me too
why not? ;)
I think the reason yours sounded bad is because the stock EQ is bad you have to use a seperate EQ software to make them sound good after I did that they sounded great the one I use is called PC Equalizer.
You are super Underrated
Late congratulations on 100k! Sorry im late to the party!
never late. thank you so much for the support!
Lol, did everything you said apply on 7.1?
Hey techne can you review the new SteelSeries qck mousepads they released a 5xl mousepad with optional rgb I think the size might be a record
hahaha I was waiting for the review for a long time so I got bored and ordered it and it came yesterday, I think it's pretty much good!
hey, techne have you tried to hold the 7.1 button? believe me, I know it's weird but that's how the headset activates or deactivates the 7.1 surround sound haha,
the headset has 2 modes:
1- sharp as shit (7.1)
2- soft (without activating 7.1),
I honestly prefer the sharp as shit one because the difference between them is huge, the 7.1 sounds like "WHERE ARE THE ENEMIES !! WANT ME TO SPOT THEM AND KILL THEM?"
and the soft one is... come on from its name "soft"
I don't know why but the 7.1 sounds a lot higher than the soft one? and that is what made me prefer the 7.1 mode more.
anyways, yeah maybe the headset has some minor flaws but overall I don't think it's that bad actually! I don't know maybe I'm wrong, I've only tried it for a day and you tried it for a while I don't know anyway I hope you have the greatest day ever! you're the best reviewer of all time!
edit: after using it for about 4-5 days I think Techne is right..
I've noticed that the headset didn't pass the STINKIN' COZY test.
it's way too small "for the people who have a huge head just like mine" "and big ears just like mine too"
and it's so annoying, everytime I turn my head just an inch it makes a loud noticeable tapping voice and it's sooo ANNNYYYOOINNNG. I tried to ignore it at the beginning but
I think I might get a refund cuz I'm starting to hate it, and I think techne was also right about the sound of the headset haha but I still think that the headset isn't THAT bad as techne said but .. the problem is.. I want a wireless headset that's affordable that sounds not that bad and pretty stinkn' cozy but I can't fricking find a good one, am I asking too much?
maybe I'm gonna update the situation in the near future idk
Literally typed Z reviews comment as your own lol
@@zozokaa lmao exactly, he just did that review perfectly haha. im gonna update the review soon
or the comment whatever
I just got the HyperX CloudX Stinger on amazon prime day and they were at a good price.
Same I got them for 30 bucks
Hi I was wondering what do you think is the best wireless headset out rn🤔
arctis pro wireless
Ok love the vids btw :)
should i buy the cooler master mh630 or the razer blackshark v2x?
shewww
@@TheTechne yeah it's a pretty tough choice but I think I'll go with the mh630, what would you rather use?
Hello, mr. techne, if i am to use a good earbuds for gaming, what would you recommend?
I like using these for gaming (old video) ua-cam.com/video/hL8sMH_KNTc/v-deo.html
@@TheTechne ooohh nice. thanks.
Hi for the sound MH650 or 670 ?? ty :)
With the 9xs how do you use them with just Bluetooth because I will turn them on and they will turn my Xbox on and if I turn my Xbox off they will turn it back on
they are ok. Im not a reviewer but i see much positive things about my mh670 too. but dont listen to me this guy is a reviewer just leaving my opinion.
can you compare the razer blackshark v2 and the arctis 5?
Perfect video! Wanted to buy a headset and was thinking on this so thanks!
Also I have a question which one would be better for audio? The G432 or G533? If none of these are good what are some other recommendations? I’m looking for some headsets under $80. Much appreciated. ^^
Razer black shark v2x definitely check techne's full review on it
Good review Techne. Love that you are always honest. Will your merch store still be up at christmas because Im gonna ask for the swap it like its hot t-shirt. I love that one haha
