I just got mine yesterday (December 27). I found it easy to set up and pair with my phone. You watch all these videos about VR, but you still can't fathom the immersion until you actually use it. I live alone and caught myself saying out loud "this is f×××ed up" just from seeing the room I was in. The mirror surprised me when I looked over my left shoulder. Then somehow I accidentally moved it so that it was about a foot away from me on the left and I could see it out of my peripheral vision. I had to get on UA-cam to find a video on how to remove it. lol Wander was on sale for 5.99, so I bought it. It's pretty cool, except your viewing angle is at whatever height the camera was. Sometimes you are hovering 10 feet off the gound, other times you're at normal height. I'm generation X, and although I've been messing around with computers since the early 80s, I never thought there would be anything like this in my lifetime. Sorry for the long post. Oh, and I don't find the strap THAT bad like people are saying, although I do get a sore forehead. I have a Kiwi strap coming tomorrow. Hopefully it will help ease the pain. lol

Also, to ensure longevity of the touch controllers and the batteries, REMOVE them when not in use, mostly if for a week or so. I like to remove them after each use. Zero Battery drain. They do "Go to sleep" after the Oculus is turned off, but Battery leakage is BAD!

A computer allows you to do some things you can't using standalone version. E.g. if it's same game, better graphics. If it's VR Chat, ability to join certain rooms not available on standalone etc. You also get access to Steam VR as well as other apps on PC (through the oculus PC environment). But it's not needed, though then you're restricted to the standalone store unless you sideload apps (by signing up as a dev), but tbh not rly worth the hassle for now.
I was expecting details about charging it for the first time before using it. Expected play time before it needs to be charged again. Can you charge it while you're using it etc.

so the High School where I work at has 10 of these oculus quest 2 devices. Where do I start, I wanna teach a VR class in the summer. The school told me that I can get any game I want to use for the kids. All the devices are apple in the school. Sorry for all the questions but where do I go to download games, do I need the app in the iPads and Mac computers for the kids to use oculus? How do I connect them to a big screen so I can see what they are doing? Can 10 kids join the same lesson or they all need to do it individually? What are some good learning games or educational games to buy or rent for the kids to use? Trying to create lesson plans for the kids do in the Sumer. the summer program is only 4 weeks. I've used one. I've wanted one but what has held me back in the past was the need to have a Facebook account to access stuff. I don't do Facebook. They have privacy issue. So Oculus now shuffle to someone else. Is that any better? Still. Why to signup/pay to any account to use the Oculus Quest 2? (See next paragraph). It's a subscription thing to pull in more money. It's like a cable TV ploy. Excluding hardware support. 3D head sets should be like any other display/monitor/mouse you buy it for your computer. Buy it. Divers to load and that should be it. No subscription fees.

The headset itself has a storage like 128 GB or 256 GB. Phone is just for streaming others or you can also stream on your TV what you play or do in oculus.
You can cast it to a cast-ready TV, or you can cast it to your iPhone oculus app, then even use screen mirroring to an apple TV device etc. You can also use a Windows Oculus app, then a cable to output the display to a TV.
Yes. No pc required it comes with some chargers and a thing for pp, who have glasses u need to connect it to ur wifi and have oculus app on a phone or tablet
if you don't know much about it yet, you will go very fast because of course you know everything, but it is not easy for the people who have just got it in their hands

I can’t figure out how to return a game. I see references to it, and they say to click on the menu etc. well where? In the app, or on the console. Nowhere I try has the option. I have the Quest 2.
FWIW (coming from a school teacher), you should have started at 3:25 or so with adjusting the headstraps. Everything before that you explained fully later on so it wasn't needed. You didn't tell people how to charge it first (could be needed --what the colors of the LED mean). You didn't tell people to take out the battery protectors from the hand controls. Also you didn't explain that to start the thing, the user has to hold down the on button for 4 seconds or so. I could go on but I'm done. Look, I"m glad you see the need for a video like this, but try and put yourself in the shoes of someone who doesn't know jack and take it from their POV one step at a time.

I haven't got the headset yet but I downloaded the app and all you need is your Gmail if you don't want to use meta or facebook

Quest 2 is one of the few vr headsets that dont require a pc. It has it's own storefront as well.

Doesn't require any computer or TV. Just internet over wifi so you can download to your headset.
