    Lyrics start at 3:30.
She was alone in the bathroom , eyes fixed like a statue.
Wrists sore, and her face bruised, she just waiting for more bad news.
Now she white like a full moon, she can't bear what the tests prove
at a crossroads, need a rescue, 'cause whatchu gonna do?
    Hold on...
    She's waiting between worlds...
Wish she could tell him "Hold on"...
    I'm waiting between worlds.
He was lookin' at a pale sunrise,
thinking back on a time gone by,
how he loved, and he laughed, and he cried.
how it all was a blink of an eye.
Now he's lookin' at the shake in his hand,
thinkin' "How much more of life can he stand?"
And how many more years can he cram,
before his fate gives way and he's ash in the sand
and is it the last stop on the road,
or the next step in a path grand and unknown
A milestone formed from the fruits of his ways,
okay in what comes with the end of his days
but the sun's rays shine on a face so divine,
"An angel of mine" goes the phrase in his mind
wise to the signs, knowing soon is the time
but he isn't ready to say goodbye.
    Hold on...
    She's waiting between worlds...
Wish she could tell him "Hold on"...
    I'm waiting between worlds.
4AM, when she woke to the sound,
walked to the door in her bedtime gown,
policeman said that her son's been found,
he was shot in the head near a club downtown,
and the terror in her heart was profound
her legs broke down, she collapsed to the ground
as the walls were spinning all around
He said, "ma'am please, you need to come right now",
so she's sitting down dazed in a cop car,
swevering through lanes in a maze where the crazed are
and locked in a haze from the shock.
Thoughts frayed as they stop with her stomach in knots
    "Lord please end the nightmare"
are the words in her mind as they raced inside
    "Lord please end the nightmare"
In the hospital ward in the eye of the storm
"Miss, I regret to say there's not much hope I can give today,
the assault took much of his brain away,
we've done all we can, but his state is grave.
Best case here is he'll live on machines,
with a vegetable quality of life foreseen,
or instead we can pull out the feed,
let him live his last moments and he'll pass in a dream."
    Hold on,
    we're waiting between worlds
wish she could tell him to "Hold on",
    we're waiting between worlds
Waiting between worlds that divide through a choice undefined,
a break in the line where all paths intertwine,
and no roads lead or progress behind,
and all the signs read: "Know the way. Decide."
They say all things never truly die,
but change in existence and switch design
like a drain to an ocean in which we're blind
we remain set in motion from worlds combined,
so if I had one thought that would last and hold,
amass and fold over as it fastly grows,
and fuse it into life like a fabric sewn,
clasp the vast field whence existence flows,
Id say settle down, of your grief let go,
the world's nothing more than a magic show,
thought tragic at times and encased in woe,
it all works out, of this truth I know.

A childhood friend of mine got in a bad car accident a few days ago. He’s on the brink of being declared brain dead. I’ve got half a million memories running through my head. My hearts breaking for his mother. She’s a great person, the whole family is. I wish there was something I could do other than wait.

@@LoomerCuber meh. Not great I guess. Kind of started spiraling after. We weren't that close but he was a really good kid. I wish it was me. He had a much better shot of living a good, happy life than I do. Im not naive, this isn't my first loss, I know bad things happen to good people all the time but... I mean it was an accident. If it had to happen why not with me, someone that maybe 3 people would notice is gone rather than an entire community? And I know how that kind of loss tears a family apart and there's nothing anyone else can do, they each have to live with it now. I just... idk. There's nothing to be done but it'll never be out of my head.

Why this isn't nationwide famous, why I havent heard it before, why not a single person in my life other than me knows about zack hemsey; is just an unacceptable heart-wrench...

+Bound4Success you missing the point of the rap that we listen to today, most of the stuff we listen to now is gibberish , yet the music industry focuses on that, yet someone like this rapslike most underground artist that raps about the truth and such with a nice hook and gets ignored, its the style that the music industry wants and monopolizes on and feel is played out, too many people don't want to hear the truth otherwise it'll turn out like fuck the police, music has a huge influence on the people and the boys upstairs don't want that on their record label

UA-cam was just playing random stuff while I was cleaning my room. It made me stop in my tracks when the lyrics started. So Cody, I'm waiting for you. And I'm holding on.

I keep coming back to this song. This is a song that really makes me feel a lot of emotions when I listen to it. It has just as much of an impact the first time it's played as the last time it's played. Whenever it is playing, I pay full attention to it. This is incredibly underrated. It may just be the best song I have ever heard and that is not exaggeration. I am glad to have discovered this and will remember it forever. I cannot give enough compliments to the artist.

Felix Snowcat This song started playing as soon as I asked the love of my life if she wanted to keep on trying to work things out, or to go our separate ways after graduation. That was the first time I ever heard this song. My relationship still has its peaks and valleys and we are far from being in a perfect relationship, but we're still trying. This song potentially saved me from letting go of my other half. Also, "The Way" also played the exact second I was about to do something to a guy which would make her hate me, then I hear that song...and it stopped a train dead in its tracks. I broke down in tears, my rage was gone because of that song, and a certain asshole in the world isn't dead, but it saved my future so I'm thankful for Zach and his masterpieces like you can't imagine.

See this is rap, not that overly repetitive excuse for rap most people listen too. This has emotion, it pulls at you makes you think, it gives a story something people can relate to. It's poetic in its delivery, sad that people think of rap as saying the same six words with a handful of vulgarities to a beat for 3-4 minutes.

Kaj lolguy It basically speaks about how one night, the police knock on a woman's door to tell her her son is in the hospital. He got shot in the head. Arriving at the hospital, the doctor tells her there is no chance for a full recovery. They can keep him there, alive thanks to machines, but basically a vegetable, or pull the cord while he's unconscious so his last moments are that "of a dream". It's very beautifully and emotionally put. I got tears in my eyes.

      Kaj lolguy music.zackhemsey.com/track/waiting-between-worlds
      The lyrics.
There are three separate stories, here. IMOP: A girl / young woman who's in some sort of abusive relationship and either pregnant or ill with something. A man that's on his deathbed [with what might be Huntington's going from the "shake in his hand."] And then the woman whose son was shot and given the option of being a vegetable or euthanized.
Then the fourth verse is Zack reassuring you that, as bleak and miserable as the world can get, there's still a light to look forward to if you just keep going..
