I don’t think many of us really knew what they were saying in the original version, besides the mmmbop part 🤣. There voices were higher and they sang it slightly faster. Now that their voices have lowered it’s easier to understand. Amazing they wrote this song on their own at ages 11, 14 and 16! I was 8, it was my favorite song. And had a poster and calendar of them in my room.
Busted are a British pop punk band from the 2000s. They're currently on a 20 year anniversary tour with Hanson in the UK. Busted re-recorded tracks from their first two albums and called it Greatest Hits 2.0, and this version was included on the special guests edition. Two of their songs, Year 3000 and What I Go to School For, are well known in the US for being covered by the Jonas Brothers.
Freaking fantastic! . Believe it or not there is a country line dance to MmmBop . It almost did me in it is so fast. I think many people secretly loved these boys.
Nobody can deny loving Mmmbop! It’s one of those tunes that just captures the human experience so damn well. For those who don’t know Hanson’s other studio albums only got better. Highly recommend Underneath and The Walk.
Why would you be embarrassed? Talent is talent. And if you had to be embarrassed about that and there’s something wrong with those other people just saying, be confident dude
Busted are the band who jonas brothers stole fame from... basically busted released 3 albums in 2002, 2003 and 2004... no one had done what they had done before back then reaching America was the biggest accomplishment for a british band and they did then broke up before they even released a 4th album that would've rocketed them up to world wide fame but instead they broke up and this up coming average American boring band called the jonas brothers ripped them off stole their gimmick but didn't have the same spark.. the song that made them famous they stole from busted called the year 3000 the jonas brothers would've been sued but busted members either didn't care or saw as.. at least our songs can live on in annother form even if it isn't in our style.... and with that the jonas brothers stole year 3000 wich made them famous but they didn't have the drive, the charisma and this new style busted did.. over the years many bands admitted to using busteds style rocketing them too into fame and the bands that did even admitted it recently these bands are the likes of such as fall out boy, my chemical romance, blood on the dance floor, all time low, green day etc.. the fame busted would've had thanks to this style woch is nowbover used would've made them the most famous "pop rock" band of all time.. but like I say they broke up before they could achieve it... they got together in 2014 woth mcfly to make mcbusted.. then they came back in 2023 and have the biggest arena tour of the year and reached number 1 best album of 2023 just days ago 20 years later.. they re recorded and modernised and released new versions of their old songs on the album called 2.0 versions.. in this album they collabed with bands such as the jonas brothers, all time low and even hannson
Well... You are being a little overdramatic. Jonas didn't steal the song. Busted was asked and they allowed them to do the cover. And got paid good money in royalties for it for years. Year 3000 literally has its own Wikipedia.
Busted did not release an album in 2004 (Unless you count their live album). So many of these bands that you've listed as being influenced by busted have been around for years before they formed. Also, Busted did not reform in 2023 they reformed in 2016 for the album "night driver" then 2019 for "half way there" and 2023 for greatest hits. The amount of blatant misinformation and speculation in this post is WILD. To sum up, Jonas brothers didn't 'steal' any songs from Busted, Busted did not 'influence' Green Day, MCR etc and Busted have released 4 albumss (Self titiled, a present for everyone, night driver, half way there), one live album (a ticket for everyone) and most recently, a greatest hits album.
@@BritishguyDude-we3qd considering that greenday have been a band around 10 years longer than Busted have, I highly doubt that. I’ve seen Busted live twice both in 2019 and last month. Considering that you couldn’t even get your facts about the bands albums correct then calling me a “fake fan” is very hypocritical

Meaningful lyrics + catchy melody - Mmmbop my most favorite music in the world! :)

I'm a grandma now and still listen to both versions of this song.
