It’s very clear here that my robot needs to practice more and take some of your courses. 😊
You gotta have soul to play the guitar Mr. Engineer. But your machine makes for a fun video.
How much for the prototype i want it.
He's got those self-playing guitar blues
Suggestion. Add an ipad to the top, so that the robot can make 'guitar face'. That would make it 1000% better sounding IMO.
The difference between playing guitar and entertaining with a guitar is soul.
sounds like a harpsichord medieval piano the way it is played
It is missing all the bends, vibrato, hammer ons, pull offs and dynamics. Otherwise, it's pretty cool.
Makes sense since piano strings are mechanically played.
1954: In the year 2023 there will be flying cars.
2023: a 1895 Aeolian Player Piano for Guitar
Watching this robot play reminds me of those Animusic animations which I thought was the coolest thing as a kid.
THIS IS ANIMUSIC AF OMG
That thing has a future home in the Musical Instrument Museum.
Wow! Its so crazy how far technology has come! That is so awesome that you are in Peoria Illinois! I actually live a few minutes from there!
Are u a scam?
@@lydiautley2526why would he have a separate account
True, true, I figured so I just ignored it
honestly for the sound it made you just use a GM midi guitar preset. probably the one thing its really made for is insane deathrobot metal tapping at 666bpm or something like that. someone needs to write a ‘black midi’ page for it
It’s like a robot guitarist and a human guitarist are playing at the same time
Uh, technically they are lol
It's almost like they're playing six stringed musical instruments by picking the strings with a plectrum. Almost.
@@TheSkillotronit's almost like they're in the same room.
I have a bunch of questions about the design, but mainly I want to know if you can add 6 independent slides?
That's very specific. 😂
@@drewharper1891 Imagine what you could do with it, my dear Dr Ewhar. An intricate sequence of morphing chords, or a blues slide up to the 7 on any string, chords that slide into their own inversions...there's a lot you could do!
Well, blimey! That’s a richman’s toy. I wonder what those old time original bluesmen would make of it? Can be emulated better digitally yet the machine holds a sort of personality 😎
It kinda sounds like a tab rendition from guitar pro :D
I was at Bradley for a music major day two days ago and watched a student concert in that same music hall!!! I love the Dingledine!!!
Would be pretty neat pushing this to its limits,
Give this thing to andrew huang and see what he comes up with.
Yeah, now let's watch a robot rock yoga pants like Sammy.
Hmm, this could solve our drummer problems
This is cool! It reminds me a bit of the track "Not So Heavy Metal" by Paul Lansky, which involved Blues Dad licks played on top of digital Karplus-Strong plucked string synthesis
I'll use this video to threaten my VSTs when they glitch.
Lovely!
People with no friends but two guitars will love this lol
@donaldothomoson true, but there is a difference in hearing the guitar being played next to you compared to a speaker playing something pre-recorded
It's about what I expected. That venue is the real scene stealer! Where are you?
Dingeldine music Center. Peoria, IL. My alma mater. :)
That was some guitar face if I've ever seen it
very cool
What a cool instrument playing device! xD nah that feels weird its gotta be a RoboGuitarist haha. Absolutely makes sense the robots would be vibing with our own samurai hahaha.
I just need it to play bass. My bass player sucks...
Bill Nelson of Be Bop Deluxe is the greatest guitarist of all time.
Great video
That sounded great but how could you not do the deliverance bango song?
This was kinda cool! A guitar playing robot
Getting some serious Captured By Robots vibes, and I can't tell if that's a good thing...
Samurai jamming with Tim Henson....finally!
It was interesting!
And here I am playing along with UA-cam videos like a sucker
Next try robot guitarist vs samurai guitarist
it sounds like a vst
I feel like the lead guitarist is more predictable 🎉
It sounds like midi guitar plugins lol
Kuzma like Traci Lords
omg it plays harmonic too?
Have you been to House on the Rock? 😊
I thought every town had a goodwill lol
So it WILL play in Peoria.😂
So it's essentially a guitar version of the player piano?
In 2045 = ai robot playing guitar with terminator...
yea it can play the guitar but not the blues, just felt like I'm listening to a tab on guitarpro or songsterr.
~checks calendar to see if it’s foolsday
Pov: you don't know how to plzy guitar but you are an engineer
As engineering goes, this is remarkable! Skynets coming for our music 😱😂 I think we have many year’s ahead ✌️➕❤️
But can it play a G7?
Is robot WITH human, not vs. The robot need more feeling!
I would love to turn this thing loose with AI in a bar. Lol
Does this thing run off g code or something? There's no way it's midi
The first thing I thought was WTF is he wearing. Lost all my clothes and have been wearing this for 3 days made me laugh out loud.
👽
Humans still rule!!!
It literally sounds....robotic.
👀 weuuu you have so many audience hughh ...
😅😅😅
Must be Noiice owning a real guitar 🎸 I signed up 🫡
Ya, sounds like midi guitar, but the robot sounds good. 😂 Oh wait, that’s backwards. SG sounds amazing. Kazma sounds midi.
Oh you're playing with it. It isn't adjusting to you playing? (It's just code in a later version) This thing is super cool as the first one. Looks great too.
Hah, I love it.
Wait, the robot guitarist can play anything so why the heck are you making it play blues? Make it play some crazy avante garde stuff or a piano piece that would be unplayable by a humans.
The music genres of Blues/Soul/Funk/Folk are probably the best way to show your robo-tar's limitations
The self-playing guitar needs to spend some time in prison so it can really get the feeling it needs in those blues chords.
Try to get answers. Would your favorite song still be your favorite if the song was performed live with different gear.than it was originally recorded with. As I'm sure most live music is.
not gonna beg but i recently lost my acoustic to a bad neck break while moving. would be great to play again.
The obvious next step is using an AI "composer" to create riffs and even entire pieces for the Kazuma to play
I think dynamics are the biggest thing missing from this current iteration. Human timing can be simulated with randomization, or even a human programming the notes to be plucked at a non robotic rate. Without the dynamics it sounds soulless
Dynamics are coming. :)
WOO early comment
it can hit notes, but can it *play*?
soulless machinery celebrated as advancement and advertised for by an artist, what is the world coming to
It's a bit of fun chill 😂 I doubt anyone thinks it's going to replace ..well anything at all
No different than a midi keyboard 😊
THIS IS PURE BLASPHEMY AND I WILL HAVE NONE OF IT!!! the separation of robotics/A.I. and the arts = the separation of church and state
I'm sorry but the robot sounds too mechanical and lacks the feeling that humans put into playing lead.
Not impressed, robot sounds extremely robotic, soulless! Human is amazing however.
First
No. No no no no no no
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sorry, but what an awful racket, zero feeling or touch, total lack of emotion in the playing. And the robot, no better.
It sounds like a dulcimer, cool invention regardless
You used "it's" when you were supposed to use "its". You should look into hiring a proofreader.
