General Mundy was my battalion XO (Executive Officer) in Viet Nam. He was a fair and flawless Officer who went to extremes to ensure the enlisted Marine had what he needed.
Semper Fi, XO.
Gen Mundy will be remembered as one of the greatest Commandant's of the Marine Corps for these reasons, honesty, loyalty, and absolute dedication to his Marines! Semper Fi Sir, you stayed the course and we honor you for that always...Marines!
Beautiful! Proud to be a American. God Bless Him and His family!
Man, what a send off. Semper Fi Gen Mundy, Godspeed Sir🇺🇲
Gen. Mundy was the Commandant while I was in the Marine Corps. He along with Sgt. Major of the Marine Corps Overstreet ran a very tight ship! I met both of them while at Pendelton and have more respect for them than almost every other human being walking the planet. Those that served under you Sir will be by your side in the future but for now we have to continue to strive for excellence in the gaurding of this great nation! Now and always your faithful Marine!!!!!

Bye gen😢
Dispatch to deep hell yeah
So sad to see how the bodybearers drill has changed especially on the flag folding.
The Marines don't change drills without a good reason. The Eight and I battalion still uses manual of arms moves that haven't been army regulation since the twenties, but with the preparatory command:Ceremonial!" Prpnunced Sarah moan-ee-al!

When did he die andhow
I have to say I didn't think much of the music coming from that band. Most of the time it seemed jaunty and, I don't know, celebratory. There was nothing funeral about it until it got the marine hymn
Who wasAudiemarried to when he diedand did he have any children
From the Clinton library files: "Gen. Carl Mundy said during a presentation on gays in the military: 'Need to proclaim: I'm gay - same as - I'm KKK, Nazi, rapist.'"
sleazoid99 Actually what General Mundy said was that those who admit to being gay or who associate with Gay Pride "will have a negative effect" and that it "fractures teamwork."For a person to "proclaim: I'm gay" is the "same as I'm KKK, Nazi, rapist," Mundy says.
Audie Murphy American Legend I admit that what you quoted in that first statement doesn't carry a negative connotation, but the second statement does, even after qualifying it somewhat.
sleazoid99 It's not negative it's truth.
Rich Holland It's most certainly not the truth. Just because you happen to agree with a statement doesn't make it true.
+youtuber As a man/woman of the armed forces, your primary duty is to your country. the fact that you choose to be gay, nazi, KKK, or a Black panther makes no difference. If you ever stood a wall with a rifle you would know that there is no "I" in the word "TEAM"
Well, one of them certainly did-but we're cleaning up after the basted even now!
