I absolutely adored these two mods and was really bummed it hasn't been updated in almost a year. Now that they have been updated i can spend countless hours and maybe 2 weeks on one campaign, that's just how amazing these two mods are.
The predecessor to Kingdoms was my keystone mod and these are so much better! I haven't played since April 2021 and have not yet experienced the improved ladder functionality. I think it might finally be time for a new campaign!
I thought Banner Kings wouldn't work with any mods thar changed factions and settlements-mine crashed to desktop trying to load them both. Is there a patch?
I really want to fight for that city-state and then take it over to become an island kingdom! 😈🤩 I really am loving this mods! The new factions are delicious, and I love the added details on the map, and being able to sail from one place to another, even if we can't free-sail or own our own ships yet. I hope that can be implemented eventually.
yeah..u can do that. Anyway ... also Europe Campaign map has the issue to block DRMilitari due to the funny choice to mix Euripean factions with Vanilla fantasy ones, so the only way to rely on something realistic is to put Europe 1100.. which they told me includes as a standard something similar to DRMilitari mod. But like that one isn't playing anymore in the original map which I want to experience at least once. So I will try this in 1.1.5 but I don't know if it will be satisfying and work. Maybe I should just go to Europe and forget about it. ..
I think that this mod is absolutely great, definitely one of the best ones out there! I'm just not a huge fan of the troop trees, many troops had their armor pieces taken from all over the place, which would fit the lore of someone like the Paleicians, but not the other factions. Nothing that My Little Warband couldn't fix though.
@hairywiener9336 there can always be problems with mods not matching the game version. Sometimes outdated mods work just fine through multiple updates, though honestly I've never done the reverse and used mods for an advanced game version on a previous build. Best thing to do is see if the mods have archived versions meant for previous builds, or see if the current version works on the earlier game build.
After playing this mod for a few hours, it's ehh mod. It add a bunch of new units, factions, and changes the map around. But the downside is that everything isn't balanced and feels "off". This mod isn't sure what it wants to be, it just adds new things without direction. There is a lot of unpolished stuff: unfinished maps, armors, and even some old quests like the axe quest are broken
Kingdoms? Idon't need kingdoms.. it's enough good the Calradian Expanded (without kingdoms). There is nothing for calradia vanilla (like this one) ... only stuff is alternative realms.. it's so sad. One needs to go europe and just give up. I wish to play the original map.. but developers did not introduce the boat system .. it's so sad. I want that.
TBH you should be using these mods with the (also freshly updated) CEK version of Banner Kings. It just seems weird to play CEK without BK at this point. For people that just want the fractured kingdom state you can use Separatism mod alongside BK for good results too (Separatism Chaos Start will assign a different faction to every castle/town on the map, but the majority will be considered minor or "petty" kingdoms with some in-built bias towards base faction kingdoms remaining. It still slows down the early-game on the AI end considerably but after a few years there's a good chance your map will look close to a fresh vanilla map - assuming you don't interfere in any major way). Anyone who isn't afraid of XML and wants to personalise their M&B experience should try a combo of CustomSpawnsAPI and Adonnay's Troop Changer (you can modify troop XMLs created in-game with My Little Warband if you need to). You can add unlimited numbers of neutral/mercenary/bandit spawns with custom names/banners/troops. TBH what I really want from a Bannerlord mod now is something like Prophecy of Pendor that just puts more meat on the small bones. Chests to find in towns, long quest chains, mythic weapons with unique crafting materials, neutral factions with hidden power and long attunements - basically just the kinda stuff that makes you feel like you're in a living world experiencing a story, instead of playing a multiplayer skirmish game against the AI. Mods are getting real good at improving Bannerlord's systems already, now they just need to improve its' _content._
at around 5:50 you say that it only had port to port, not free sailing. But then 1 year passed and the update of august (its last one) did not introduce nothing new? Like sort of free sailing?
A nice aspect of the troop rosters is that each progression is a logical one (in skills and gear) and more specific troops are moved to separate lines. I think the mod should prevent any snowballing so you can focus on a smaller area and not having to worry about a far away faction getting out of control. I think this combines nicely with My Little Warband and/or Fourberie.
Europe lemmy project has a deep boat system. I can't believe the boat traveling isn't in the base game yeah. It's just crazy. It's about the map design they explained me, they need to remake the map so they could also use this excuse to improve it in stuff like strategical position of castles and bridges (for example a castle is made to control a narrow passage, not in a corner where nobody goes or a depression of the ground!)... River would be navigable... Anyway this was done for warband as far as I can see... warband had a mod called "Viking Conquest".. I just noticed. It was a payed DLC. This game has a such a low maturity.. it will need at least ohter 3 years to reach a RELEASED for real level. Unfortunately people don't realize players today are just alpha or beta testers if it goes well... and ppl pay to work!! ahaha. @@patrik3482
I literally halfway into my rhodok campaign with my little warband and some update came in and mods dont work anymore. I will have to check out this mod tho because it seems extra giga cool and has actual rhodok culture and balanced units so i dont need to mess around in troop creator

ive never used this mod due to my mod list issues. but is it safe to assume this does not play well with RBM? given that RBM modifies the gear worn by troops?
its a cool mod but holy crap uses a lot of CPU , map lags pretty bad even after adjusting the setting a lot, I wish I was made of money for an upgrade on my pc but its also part of the optimization of the main game and the mod. nothings perfect but id love to see a Jackie fish campaign in the future.

Adds new towns and villages and castles, also adds roads and ruins. CEK adds new factions and cultures, and works great with Banner Kings which makes the non combat gameplay more like Crusader Kings
Calradia adds the casatles and so on in "strategical" positions and not just randomly somewhere... yes calradia has the boat system which is a must for TW to be added to the game. I can't believe they haven't done it yet. I mean the full system. See lemmy prject by Space Pot8ato.
Calradia Expanded needs to be the "lowest end" of one mods list package unfortunately, it's 1.1.5 .. so around july\september 2023 stuff. Not that bad after all. I am gonna indeed do a bulky mod try but it's my first time with this game. Then I am gonna do Europe and that's it. Europe unfortunately doesn't have the legendary 6 factions, but it has a full boat developed system... It limits the mods u can install not having de re military chance, but it seems europe 1100 does contain similar elements making late game armies similarly and realistically formed like drm does.. all these calculation are being hardly made as I check the mods.. for me it's not ok that mods are not allowed by other mods when they should just for strange design decisions... Fortunately some people know all mods so they can tell you how to solve stuff if there is a solution.

You can always just set your game to a specific update version so your mods don't get broken, then update later when you feel like it.

If you load RBM before this then no there will be no issues. It will just override the gear changes from RBM

Works absolutely fine with Diplomacy, i do get some random crashes talking with the new faction nobles though so save regularly.
