Great tips mate. My 16 year old son is currently with an NRL club in their pathways system and knows he’s got a long way to go. Even though he’s heard a lot of what you’ve just spoken about, I will get him to watch this as a reminder to work hard and stay focussed, as talent only gets you so far.
Wish him all the best from me 👍🏻
Thanks for checking out the vlog guys make sure you subscribe if you enjoy. Really hope this video has some value for you and I wish you the best with your dreams and goals for the future! BTW comment with most likes I’ll pin here 👍🏻 CT
Great video. Can you do a video on “Best NRL fitness drills” or something on pre season?
Thanks Chad for another banger
Thank you so much chad your the best I hope I can make it to the nrl one day this just boosted my confidence like crazy thank you so much!
Great life advice!
I'm currently doing some courses to coach local junior teams in the near future, would love to get some training tips and techniques I could use to help teach the basics of the game like, passing drills, running drills ect. Love your work chad, cheers.💪
Great advice CT, I think you hit the nail on the head there, especially #5. When things aren't working out the way I see it, I always say to myself "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink".
Best way to handle it
@@ChadTownsend10what can I do on my own to genuinely get myself ready for the NRL? In terms of fitness side of things just going for a jog does nothing..What would you do if you are preparing on your own?
Good stuff mate 👍🏽
We train a few professional surfers and this info was gold sending this too all the crew now.Great motivation for all sports well done 👌
Glad it was helpful! Much appreciated.
Great tips here ❤
Thank you Chad you’re really inspiring us 🤝
Happy to hear that! Thanks for the support.

Big big Steve jobs guy
100% not just tips for making it in footy but just making it in life. Cheers for sharing 👍
everybody lifes different and not that EASY
Would love some help training gear Chad!
Hey bro wha training do you do before the pre season, i’ve never cracked the rep teams but i do get offered every season but just never make the cut.
chad do you have any tips to stick out in centre It can be hard some games when your not getting much quality ball. I guess you just have to continue perfecting the little things, love the vlogs from Victoria
Hey mate, i dont know if this will help, but remember, there are other ways to stand out in footy. If you don't get good ball in attack. Then be the best in defence (good defensive reads, good communication etc) People will notice no doubt.
when your forwards are tired come in field and take hit ups on tackle 1, 2 or 3 then hop back onto the wing. This is a small thing that can do a lot for the teams stamina in a close game as well as getting you some more action
sorry i meant go back to the centres after your runs not the wing 😂
Ye same issue with me as a winger. I guess taking good runs in the middle very 2-3 tackles in attack to relief the forwards and do well in defence and communication
Good advice
Haha spying on the kids who started this week so funny
Thanks Sally
I’d love to be picked for your giveaway. Been a cowboys supporter since day one and have loved seeing you grind hard for your place, I’d look after the clothes trust me 😁
Just subscribed to win some of the 2023 training kit.
I’m a big UA-cam subscriber guy 🤠
Be able to wear a mouth guard which I couldn’t otherwise i’d be a superstar player! Be tough i’d be smallest bloke to play it! I’d be playing along side you chad! Almost retiring! I’d be Tommy Dearden’s or Robson/ Granvilles spot
🐐
Great tips Chad. I'm 17 years old now and I really want to make the NRL but I currently have no experience playing tackle and I don't play in any rep teams. Im just wondering if it's too late to achieve my dreams because without footy, I don't know what else I can do. I have a very strong passion for the game. Can you please give me some advice?
My uncle started playing rugby at 16 and made it pro its never to late
Thank you. for the tips but I'm a 16 year old boy in PNG🇵🇬 , our national sport is rugby league but unfortunately our pathway to the NRL is realy poor can you help me.
Tip 5 is a good life tip for all people

10:16 Rupert Murdoch watching this like…..
3:20 what if you don’t love life ? part 2 video 🙏
Life is great!!
I am 100% absolutely gobsmacked that Routine didn’t feature in the top 5 😢
Routine was not a big focus for me when I was younger (18-20)
Other tips
1 bigger body frame
2 who you know = favouritism.. NAME Gets You IN
3 not being indigenous..
4 Live in a CITY
5 Play structure GETS YOU FAR..
us indigenous boys LOVE RUGBY LEAGUE. But clubs don't wanna take the time to let us develop our body to get bigger and stronger.
its a shame most of us are going to waste, by the time we catch up to the bigger boys its too LATE
❤.. Some boys are better than what's in the NRL, Origin starting to look like BARBARIANS IN RUGBY.. Sorry Chad if its offending
0:56 bruh ease up on the cuts per sentence 😭
Is 36 too late? ;)
yEP LOL
